Today was Merida's coronation into the Disney lineup as their 11th princess! So happy, I'm going to enjoy seeing her gorgeous face all over merchandise lol

Cape is based on the one Merida wears in the Disney parks. Going to be wearing it again at Fanime with a brand new Merida dress I'm making, this time very closely based on the one she wears at WDW & DL. I just faked it in my "Merida's Closet" collage but for Fanime I drafted a new pattern, bought some gorgeous silk velvet, and am making a new belt too! Only have a week to make it though... ahhhh!!

New winter cape I made for ALA! Cape is based on the one Merida wears in the Disney parks. Not that you can see mine here very well... but Vince already uploaded a full length photo so go to his page to see it (linked below)! Trim on the cape is screen printed & the braid is hand painted gold all of which took foreverrr.. almost as long as it did to sew it on to the never ending hem lol. Also re-made my belt, bear "buckle", and sash since I last wore this costume annnd I put more work into the wig since it's a forever work in progress.

Happy Brave DVD release day!!

Here are all of Meridas dresses which I made, her closet if you will lol. Also threw in my fake park version for fun.. Feel kind of bad squeezing so many photos into one instead of showcasing them each separately (my photographers are amazing and I cannot thank them enough) but I wanted to do a collage of all the different versions at once just for today. Besides I know you're all tired of my Merida and probably don't want 50 different uploads lol
(If you would like though, you can see the photos separately in their full-res on my tumblr, maybe I'll upload them separately here in a couple months)

Next up Im making the cape she wears in the parks for ALA and eventually I might make a couple of fan arts and possibly some of the concept arts for her!

Also made Merida's end scene dress XD. Made this to wear at a Renaissance Fair and then Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland and was lucky enough to fit in another shoot with Jeff and Robert when I was in town! I based mine off of the movie and pulled from the concept art for a couple details that were hard to see in the movie since it's only in there for a couple minutes (and she's always hiding behind something haha).

I made this costume, Merida's princess dress, as a secret for SDCC this year and finally got a photoshoot with it last week!
My dress has ~13 hours worth of screen printing on it and countless hours of hand-gluing 3700 gems to the bottom. Even though I dont wear a corset with it as she does in the movie, I still cant move or breathe in the thing lol. Wig is also custom made by me (and is a continual piece of work) along with the work on my bow and painting on the sword! Probably one of my favorite costumes to date, if I wear it to ALA Ill be making her circlet and white head piece (:

Third on the more-photos-poll was Merida, barely beat fourth place! Going to CA in a few weeks and will be doing a photoshoot with Merida's end-scene dress that I recently made so you don't have to see this costume again lol (or at least as much, still have a few shots that I really like for this one!)

Didn't realize how few Merida pictures I had uploaded here, I thought I had spammed you guys with them so I wasn't going to upload any more for a while lol. In a little bit I'll put up a poll asking which costumes you'd like to see more photos of too.
Can't wait for more Merida shoots in October with my new costumes and props! She's my absolute favorite if you haven't noticed lol But I should have a couple more new costumes then as well, kinda feels like I'm going to a con since I'm flying to CA with a bunch of costumes, I'm excited!

Went up to CA this last weekend to see my favorite person in the world live in concert and to spend time with Nataly on her birthday, and we had some extra time to do a couple photoshoots (thanks to Robert for organizing & choosing locations too!) as well so I finished up Merida and brought the costume with me on my trip!

New wig is custom made and styled by me. Also fixed up the ruffles on my under-dress, hand embroidered the eyelets on the front of her green dress, made a couple new arrows, an armguard, and a hand grip for my bow! I also made the medallion she has on her bow but it broke in a billion pieces when I went to shoot an arrow on the beach lol (at least I'll have a few shots with it on the beach!). So I have to remake that for Fanime.. and add some detail to my quiver but probably not because lazy..
