I'm proud to present DepthCORE's latest chapter "TIME".
My piece titled "Time will heal" is a sad piece of artwork but I enjoyed making it so much. It looks like a happy, cheerful piece at one glance but when you look carefully at the center, there's a grey glow coming from the center of the empty heart. I'm trying to show that we always appear strong from the outside and that we tell others that we are alright. But in actual fact, we're not.

It's normal to feel upset and heartbroken.

I was angry and disappointed. I shouldn't be feeling this way. Where's the love? It took me awhile to realize that its gone. Cry if you must. Scream. Throw plates on the floor. Its fated they had to cross your path but can't stay in your life. Its a lesson learned, painful but necessary. For one to cry like this, you must have loved a person so much at some point of your life. That's enough for me to keep in my memories.

Remember those who stood by you when you're at your lowest. There's nothing more important than family and friends.

For those whos gotten your heart broken, my candy monsters (and me) just wants you to know, everythings' gonna be ok. Time will heal and you'll stand up taller and stronger when the storm is over.

That's me sitting with the rabbit and enjoying the wonders of this magnificent place. Accompanying us are the doormouse and Cheshire Cat. We're suppose to be on our way to see the Mad Hatter. There's just so much to see and explore!

In my perfect wonderland, everything is vibrant,cheery and colourful. I am the only 'real' subject in there. A very 'paperdoll' feel. I had a lot of fun creating this piece of illustration, being a big fan of Alice in Wonderland. (I even gave myself her cute gloves/hand warmers)

I absolutely love the movie. This contest got me really excited as well. I had to take part. I'm glad I did. ^_^

CitID is a ambitious community project where designers world wide are invited to design a logo for their city. We are aiming to collect a unique set of inspiring logos/artworks, displaying the various styles and trends in contemporary logo design all over the world. We hope to include as many cities in the world as possible.

Since Singapore has no major capital or such, I've decided to illustrate a particular place in Singapore where Peranakan tradition remains a proud culture. KATONG, as we all know is the place where we find lots of Peranakan influenced houses and shops. Colours and happy kueh-kuehs (yummy peranakan desserts) makes up my logo.

The ARK Project

Just like Noa saved the animal species in his ark, this project will try to rescue and portray the creatures surrounding us today, through the eyes of the most important designers, illustrators and contemporary designers.
The idea is to generate an animal bible showing the species around the globe.

OBJECTIVES
- To create an illustrated ark, with artists from all over the world, generating an artistic world fauna encyclopaedia.
- To achive at least 200 graphic/illustrated pieces.
- Support a specific wild life protection entity with the project sales and recaudation.
- Document the project in a book format.
- Exhibtions in different places, with the artists from those regions.

The animal that I've chosen is the Singapura Cat(Kucinta Felis Catus).
Featured here are 6 cats which 5 of the cats possess stars in their eyes.Only the center cat has cresent shape. Subtly it also represents the Singapore flag,5 stars and a cresent moon.

My Little Pony Candy Parlour

It started with the original blue pony house.
A normal Pretty Parlour...worn and old...Dirty...not in brilliant condition....
The interior isn't looking too good either.

And then....*poof!*
It became the Candy Parlour!
The entire house is torn apart into pieces and then sprayed with primer 1st. A 2nd and 3rd coat of pink spray is then applied. Once its dries, that's when the painting begin! Acrylics are then mixed to a satisfied colour before applying them onto the house.

I tore the old sticker down and did some measurements. Then designed another Candy Parlour sticker in Flash and Photoshop. Smile
All the interior stickers are also torn out and new ones were designed to replace them. I gave it a Peppermint wallpaper.

The stickers went through quite an amount of test prints cuz' the colour of the it just didn't look quite right to me. The Candy Parlour base where Peppermintie Polly is a pretty tedious process. Had to paint all the tiny extruding parts!

Introducing....Peppermintie Polly!
She used to be Cloud Dreamer but her bum prints got so badly rubbed I had to give her a make-over. No re-rooting for her hair cuz' its still nice and soft! She's painted with acrylic and given new tail ribbons. Threw in a peppermint pendant to complete her candy look!

The complete Candy Parlour set. Furnitures are from Sylvanian Family. A total of 4 different sets of furniture is paired with the playset. Ice cream shop,Candy Cart, Cake counter and a Duckie stall. I had a fun time shopping for furniture! So many things to choose from!

I'm a MLP fanatic and I have 3 pretty parlour playsets at home,which I've decided to turn one into my very own version...called Candy Parlour!!!

Yes,it's a customizing project. Will be customizing the entire pony house and a pony that would go with it as a set. This is the sticker that would go onto the exterior of the pony house.The pony on the sticker,that's Peppermintie Pollie. She shall be the owner of the Candy Parlour.

This is just a teaser...Will take more photographs once the project is completed!

Explaination:
Good and Evil are defined by our actions, not by our color nor race. Therefore, the colors in the composition are uniformly vibrant, without the stereotypical distinction through bright and dark tones, or cool and warm temperatures, etc.
Whether good or evil, we all live in the same world. Its what we do that defines who we are. The dark figures holding the axes represent us humans.
Thou nature can't speak words but to them, are we evil?

I'm pretty sure you guys/girls know about the song Copacabana. No particular concept for this thou.Just felt the feminity,glits and glamour of the showgirls as they strut on stage,putting on a mask and turning themselves into someone else. Its just so amazing.

Noticed all the darumas I drew in this piece of art had all their eyes painted. Indicating all wishes were granted in this happy pic.

The complete box set!

I did this for the Toy and Comic Con in Singapore.Was planning to meet up with some artist and thought it would be cool to do something to show them.Only managed to produce 2 sets.Had a hard time making it cuz' of the wrapping,glueing,planning,mistakes that I've made then tearing it apart again to re-make it...*shrugggsss*...

Anyways...Its basically a box with double sided printed postcards of some of my best works.Name card and a DVD of my showreel. I could say its something like a portfolio.I did everything you see here.From making the box,to crafting it,to adding lil sequins/beads and crap into the window so that it scrambles about within the window when u shake the box.(An improved version of my last PEEP Graphic book).

That's Pussie Mac' Rainbow you see there in the window.Well, hopefully he'll turn into a vinyl toy sometime in the future.Along with another few of his friends. Trying to see if there are toy manufacturers who would be interested.

Candybox comes in a plastic jellybean casing too. You can take a look at it in the montage photo. For protection!Can't afford to expose it to water or any other sort of damage.

Its fun making Candybox of TESHIES.

Temple of candyland...sweet sweet candyland...come join the candynuns and hum to the tune of sweet melodies...(even the musical notes are made of candy!) Everything here is edible..candy clouds...jelly rainbows...strands of gumballs hang from the roof of mushroom shelters...a place where one will find meditation a sweet experience.
