I made this to be used as a desktop wallpaper-- I just didn't feel like dealing with the wallpaper dimensions and whatnot. It's pretty simple, but looks good "stretched" to fit a screen.

I use a widescreen though-- so I haven't really checked it out on a more square monitor.

A colored pencil drawing I did for my Foundation Drawing II course here at CCS. The background is going to be fixed up with a more solid overtone at some point. And the white splotchies around the edge are from me ripping the tape off =-(

Monochromatic assignment for Foundatin Drawing II. We had to recreate a piece of Renaissance or baroque art using indigo blue, tuscan red, or dark green prismacolor.

I chose Vermeer in blue obviously.
Her left eye (our right) is sort of bugging out a little, but it was an honest mistake.

The variation of color in the background is just the oxidation of the colored pencil. Couldn't really be helped.

Got an A on this one!

Because the converse allstar is a contradiction (rebellious, yet trendy), I decided to create an event called an anti-fashion show, where people come as they are and walk the runway.

It's a HORRIBLE picture, but it is a project I completed in one night for about 25 dollars. Cotton, Styrofoam, string, fabric, hooks.
I made myself a sky for above my bed-- big puffy white clouds.
An idea that came to me after watching The Science of Sleep (if you've seen it, you'll know why.)

It's muuuuuch more attractive in person, and looks even better from lying below it on the bed. It actually works really well in its atmosphere despite what this picture might be suggesting.

I apologize for the bad pictures with flash.

These are the final product for my 5-week crashcourse in bookmaking.

The books are made entirely from scratch using daveyboard, foam, corduroy, printed fabric, buttons, thread, canson brown paper, book cloth, strathmore drawing paper, photo album inserts, paint, and traditional typesetting.

The books open and close via a handsewn strap that is glued underneath the end papers. Each closes with a button.

Inside each has 40 pages of sketch paper that have been divided into four signatures and 5 photo inserts in the center. On the back page of each book is some handset type(!!) that reads "designs by kelly" with a stenciled little logo to match each book's theme. The books were sewn and glued together all by yours truly.

I don't know if you can tell from the photos but they are squishy in your hand due to the foam that is under the fabric.
Not the best books I've done, but they took a lot of time. So here they are!
