Pinup for the Shelf Life ashcan dropping at SDCC 2012, featuring Bug Boy. For those of you who don't know about Shelf Life, it's the raunchy live-action adventure of a bunch of toys who live on a sadistic, little bastard's shelf, created by voice actors Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt.

The first episodes were directed by my frequent comics collaborator, Paul Jenkins, who asked me to draw a poster for the little brat's room in the series. If you watch the opening credits, you can see my "Robot Kid" poster on the wall. You can also see the bottom right hand corner of the poster in almost every episode.

Pinup for the collection of my pal Josh Wagner's sweet comic Fiction Clemens. In the book, Fic has to pull a Bugs Bunny and dress like a fancy lady of manners to escape a foe, but ends up creating more trouble than he bargained for. In this piece, he's opened the closet and has to decide which outfit to take for a stroll.

Poster and DVD art for Super Tough Films' newest low-budget exploitation classic, Rodney Cecil: Psycho Hero -- the revenge tale of a drug-dealing dirtbag, left for dead but resurrected by the ghost of an old witch who gives him supernatural powers. So it's a romance...

I wanted something a little more evocative than representational, and the result is kind of Saul Bass by way of Francis Bacon.

Here's the cover to DEATH CURSE, the new horror anthology from Lost Story Studio, in conjunction with Ultimate Comics. The whole book has a found footage, old VHS B-movie flavor, while also keeping the feeling of old horror comics anthologies, like Creepy and Eerie. I've also got an interior short story called "Vacculus", written by Brockton McKinney and Bo Fader.

Here's a peek at the inks for the cover to the upcoming Zombie Dickheads one-shot. I wanted something bold that featured the characters large, and made good use of the cover space, that you could spot from a distance or amongst the other titles on a shelf. Then I remembered the composition of the poster for the movie The Lost Boys, and I thought a similar composition could work for the book. Of course, the Dickheads lack a bit of the sex appeal of a young Jason Patric or Kiefer Sutherland, but it's all about the attitude -- in this case, I wanted the characters to be looking straight at the reader. Josh, big in front, is giving this look, like, "Chill out, man. Why would I eat YOU?", since the tagline for the book is "Zombie Dickheads are NOT coming to get you", I think this communicates that sentiment pretty well.

Take-home commission for Chris Caira from Heroes Con 2011. This was based off of an old drawing I had done of Doom sitting on his throne with the Invisible Woman as his bride. As soon as I had finished it, I realized I should have incorporated the rest of the Fantastic Four in some way. So I had an idea to have them turned into furniture/trophies. Chris Caira has an amazing collection of artwork depicting villains with their enemies mounted as trophies, and we got to talking about this piece. Intrigued, he commissioned a full color version, and here it is!
