The reason behind why I think Christianity is a relationship rather than a religion is mainly because I like to view my faith on a more personal level.
Everyone knows that Jesus died on the cross to cleanse the world of their sins so that they could enter the kingdom of heaven. Well for me I view it as very personal. Jesus came down to Earth and died so that He could have a relationship with us (if it was population: 1 he would've come and died for you, that's huge), so that we as Believers could enter the kingdom of heaven and spend the rest of eternity with Him.
One of his names is the Father, and that we are his children.
The creator of the universe as my DAD??
I'd say that not only is that AWESOME, it really helps to create a personal relationship with him (at least for me, not everyone's the same).
He wants you to talk to Him and share your problems with Him and He wants to help you every step of the way.
If that isn't a relationship I don't know WHAT is.
Anyway, you may think differently than me, but this is my opinion.

It TORMENTS me inside when other Christians that genuinely want to seek the Lord with all their hearts and genuinely believe in Him and His truth, but compromise with man's satanic and flawed theories and doctrines and sinful ways and ignore and reject His teachings and many of the things the Bible preaches and claims to be true. Every time I talk with one of my friends on some of these matters (such as evolution, the Bible's accuracy, biblical prophecies, and the End Times, just to highlight a few) I feel like someone is yanking at my heart and then stabs it with a knife. NOTHING torments my soul more than when sincere Christians reject Yeshua's (Jesus's) teachings and doctrines (for whatever reason) and refuse to be open-minded to new light or even listen to it! HOW CAN THEY BE SO BLIND AND IGNORANT?! Do they really have no idea how much it KILLS me inside when they refuse to listen? ]]>

I made it because it's true. Choosing a sinful lifestyle because we're sinners is like choosing to drown because you don't see a shore.
I'm sick of people acting like they can do whatever they want and thinking there's no consequence for their actions.
Think of it as this; if you accept Jesus as your Savior and you die and it turns out the Atheists are right, you don't lose anything. On the other hand, turns out heaven and hell are real and as a Believer you get to spend the rest of eternity in paradise. You gain everything. Now, let's say you're an Atheist, you die, and you're right; heaven and hell don't exist. You gain nothing from this small victory. On the other hand say heaven and hell ARE real and as an Atheist who refused God's love and salvation you go to hell, so you lose EVERYTHING.
It's sad to think that people think that this is the only life there is and they can do whatever they want because they think it's their "right".
I don't want to see anyone not enter the kingdom of heaven. I wish people would see that this isn't all there is and that their actions DO have consequence and that they don't just disappear when you die (or drown).

But yes, heaven and hell are tools for little children. The boogie man and the deceitful parent. Dress it up all you like, but we are not fooled." (Yet the believe every single lie Satan tells them.) Here is my response to such a claim that they aren't "fooled" by all this so-called "religious mambo-jumbo".

In the entire book of the Bible God has laid out one message or the Atheists and the Agnostics; "The fool hath determined in his heart, There is no God," (Psalm 14:1) and repeats this message in Psalm 53:1. The evidence of the truth behind the Scriptures is over-whelming. Grant R. Jeffery states in his book The Signature of God that, "I will not debate to you existence of God for the same reason that I would not debate someone about whether the world is round." And I agree with this. Those that deny the truth of the Scriptures are either fools are liars, or just plain ignorant. Now I believe there are two kinds of ignorance, there is ignorance such as simply not being exposed to something, or there is choosing to be ignorant. Now ignorant means to be unlearned, naive, uninformed, or a lack of education. Perhaps someone living in captivity has never heard of God or Jesus or Christianity. That's not necessarily their fault, they simply haven't been exposed to it or taught anything about it, uninformed and uneducated in the matter. Or a four-year-old living in an Atheist family, odds are she's never heard of God or Christianity or might be too young to fully understand it anyway. Now we're all ignorant about something, for example I'm ignorant of the anatomy of a giraffe's neck or the entire life story of my neighbor. I just don't know. However I could suddenly chose to be ignorant of the fact that the Earth is round and argue against people who say it is. That's different. Now either I would be a fool for my disbelief, despite over-whelming evidence that it is indeed round, or I am a liar because deep down, I know it's round but refuse to admit it.

Now you can claim that the Bible is full of errors and contradictions and has been proven wrong before, but those who have made this claim determined this BEFORE they did the research to find out for themselves. They are wrong, because scientists and archaeologists and astrologers have only found evidence that CONFIRMS the biblical accounts recorded in the Scriptures. NOT ONE TINY SCRAP OF EVIDENCE HAS EVER CONTRADICTED THE BIBLE. Don't even go there.

I made this drawing not to for the sake of gore, and I pray not to act as a trigger, but to give anyone that is struggling with this a message that I wish I could have believed in when I struggled. No matter how deep you cut, burn, claw - no matter how much of your own blood you see, it will not fill the void within you. Sure, your head will spin, you will feel the release of pain, you will smile at the mark you've made - until your smile disappears again, and you are filled with that relentless destitution once more. I know; I have loved and hated it just as you have.

Words can't express how much I feel for you. I can't begin to fathom and I won't pretend to know what pain you've gone through in life to bring you to this. <3 But my heart breaks for you, even though I do not know you past the picture of your avatar. Your pain is real. But it doesn't have to be your slaver. I know that for too long a time, I let it be so.

It's one of the hardest things to realize, or rather, let yourself believe, but only one blood can heal. It was spilled two thousand years ago, with a bone-studded cat o' nine tails, a crown of thorns, and three nails; it was a sacrifice I hope my drawing did justice to.

Joseph the Dreamer (Gen. 37)

If you recall Joseph's story, we can say that the thing that triggered all of his unfortunate events was his coat of many colors, given to him by his father, and his dream. These two were supposed to make Joseph happy but it didn't turn quite well for him. He was hated much more by his brothers, sold as a servant in Egypt, accused of a sin he didn't commit, and was thrown in prison. But after all those misfortunes, Joseph never lose faith in God. God also didn't forsaken him and He blessed him very much.

Ever since I was a kid, I loved his story. It shows that God will never leave us, and He has a plan for everyone of us.
Even if we feel like we're trapped in the dark, or misfortunes happen one after another, God has a plan.
Even if the whole world hated us, or feel like there's no hope left for us, God loves us and He won't forsake us.
Isn't that amazing to know that there is a God who loves us and will never leave us?

Being Christian doesn't mean we are suddenly perfect, we are just forgiven. Christians still make mistakes, but we acknowledge that we did wrong and go to the Lord with it, so He may renew our souls.

Don't let the darkness take you. It tricks, and flirts to entice and draw you in. But no matter what the world says, being bad is not cool, and in the end it only brings pain and heartache. Run to Jesus, and He is merciful to forgive.

"He is not here. He is risen..." _{Luke 24:6}

One of the most important differences between Christianity and other religions is that our God (the only God) came to the world, BUT He is not dead, though He is here.

There's a quote I found that I want to share with you.
"The tomb of Christ is famous because of what it does NOT contain".
It is true, you can go to Confucius', Zoroaster's, Buddha's, Confucius', Muhammad's tombs and find those tombs with bones or dead people, but if you visit Jesus' tomb you'll see that He is not dead!

Look what the Bible says: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..."_{1 Peter 1:3}

Notice that it says lively hope, the hope we have as Christians is lively, because Jesus is alive, otherwise why would you believe in someone who is dead?

"I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death." _{Revelation 1:18} ]]>

When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement (which in Aramaic is Gabbatha).
It was the day of Preparation of the Passover; it was about noon. “Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews.
But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!” “Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked. “We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered.

//The Crucifixion of Jesus
Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified. So the soldiers took charge of Jesus.
Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha).
There they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle.
Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read: jesus of nazareth, the king of the jews.
Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek.
The chief priests of the Jews protested to Pilate, “Do not write ‘The King of the Jews,’ but that this man claimed to be king of the Jews.”
Pilate answered, “What I have written, I have written.”
When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom.
“Let’s not tear it,” they said to one another. “Let’s decide by lot who will get it.” This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled that said, “They divided my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.” So this is what the soldiers did.
Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,”

//The Death of Jesus
Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.”
A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips.
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jewish leaders did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down.

//The Burial of Jesus
Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away.
He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds.
Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs.
At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid.
Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.



The Empty Tomb
Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.
So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”
So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb.
Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.
He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in.
Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there,
as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.
Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.
(They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)
Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.

//Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene
Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb
and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.
They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” “They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.”
At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”
Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).
Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”
Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.

//Jesus Appears to His Disciples
On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”
After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

//Jesus Appears to Thomas
Now Thomas (also known as Didymus1), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.
So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”
Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

//The Purpose of John’s Gospel
Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.
But these are written that you may believe2 that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

A picture for Resurrection Sunday! It's very simple and I wanted to give the picture a joyful victorious feel, thus why I used the sunset and glowing affects. The Lamb represents Christ, risen from the dead, alive forever! The lion represent God, now holding the keys of Hades, and the fiery dove represents the Holy Spirit which is now in all believers. They are around the empty tomb, the crosses in the background. ~

This is the second in my series of the seven "Fallen Angels of Sin." I have always been interested in the reason behind why the Catholics consider some sins "deadly" and others not, and the Seven Deadly Sins are an interesting topic for me, so I thought I would create a fallen angel graphic for each of the sins.

Envy (or in Latin, "invidia"), like lust, is characterized by an insatiable desire. Envy is similar to jealousy in that they both feel discontent towards someones traits, status, abilities, or rewards. The difference is the envious also desire that entity and covet it. Envy can be directly related to the Ten Commandments, specifically "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's." Dante defined this as a "desire to deprive other men of theirs."

CRITIQUES ARE WELCOME. However, I would ask that you do not judge this piece based on its realism and how much it looks like a real photo. When I make graphics, I intend for them to look manipulated in Photoshop. My graphics are more meant for the message that they send and to be pretty to look at rather than to pass for an actual photo. With that in mind, please critique away!
