Just in time for Halloween.

Reworked from an older digital fanart pieced and based off an older sketch.

Finally decided to fix the painting, though every time I look at it I see too many mistakes. Unfortunately, I have other deadlines in place and could only spare two days for this piece. I figure that in five months or so I will rework this painting again.

Skin and mouth are the only layers that were not altered with painting. Layers were color balanced to match the new color schematic. Hair was completely redone with far too many layers. Originally, the hair was more blonde, but I preferred this more muted version with a heightened red atmosphere. The background was kind of a joke. I was just messing around with brushes, lamenting that most of my "fun" brushes on GIMP. I contemplated stamping each brush and sending it over to PE when I stumbled across the wire mesh brush. I was going to use it as a placeholder for the real background, but this one grew on me. Finally got rid of all the original lineart with the exception of a tiny bit around the iris of the eye.

So, it still it has tons of problems, but it is better than the other version I have. Sorry, I'm still in the learning process here. I think this is about the fifth digital painting thing I've done. ]]> Fanart piece for Witch Hunter Robin featuring Robin Sena

I know it's not that great, but I tried to make sure that I didnt' half-ass it. I think it's only the fourth digital painting that I have completed.

She has taken me way too long to finish. Originally, she was a sketch, then I did another drawing with shading, and now she is digital. Not too keen on the background, but after a couple of hours, I just went with the second one and said to hell with it.

The body comes from a photograph. Funny story about the source for this image. I was going to do a drawing with two people in a bathtub facing each other. When I tried a search for "man in bathtub," I got nothing but full-out porn. Since I don't have a lot of experience drawing people, I thought I would follow one of the links to find some nudes to draw. After sifting though many (scary) porn images, I found this girl wearing some lingerie. Because I wanted to stay with more of an anime style, I ended up just drawing in the face and hair with something that was in my head (that's why the hair is kind of weird). Poor girl; she really was quite pretty. It was a very small image and I ended up badly pixelizing the image by enlarging it to get something big enough to work with. Because it's from some porn place that grabs images from all over the web, I'm not sure where it comes from. I was going back and forth as to if I wanted it to be fanart, but decided it didn't really look like the character she is sort of based on. I'm not really happy with the end result because the lines are too shaky and the image looks too similar to the screenshot and I'm not sure what happened with some parts of her hair. I also don't really like this style of shading, but I'm not that good with a tablet so I went for simplicity. I probably won't keep this one up too long in the gallery.

My entry for the ~WHR-Club Holiday contest.

Wow, where do I start with this one? I am so very frustrated that I worked for such a long time on this piece and just couldn't get it to look how I envisioned. I had to redraw a lot of parts from the original sketch and start from scratch a time or two. I didn't draw the mistletoe in the original drawing, so I had no frame of reference when I went to finish the image and had to come up with the lame snow background instead. However, in the end, I figured it was better to submit something I was dissatisfied with than not enter anything at all. So, here's my humble offering.

Oh right, references. The faces and Amon's hair were done from memory (which is why Amon's nose is off). Robin's hair and the shading were referenced from many screenshots.

Uh, this will be the first time I ask people not to critique one of my works. Trust me, I already know what's wrong with it. ]]> Witch Hunter Robin
