So it aint too fancy, but it does exist.<br />With this one I wanted to dial things back. Not every character can sport a heavy jacket and a bucket of sartorial details, and Invincible is one of them. He has his own superhero tailor, so tights are downright required on this (sorta)Superboy analog. If we're doing tights lets go classic, old school, TOTH! So I set out to do something sporty, and classic. Classic means no fingerless gloves, but hells yeah trunks. But this Peter Parker is the 26 year old Avenger, Future Foundation science adventurer with a decent job. He's been slinging webs in the 5 boroughs for a decade, and sewing his own costume the entire time. He's gotten really good at both, and this costume reflects that. <br />I wanted this to be first functional, then realistically constructed. So the man gets zippers, where he can reach them, that way he can get in and out of his costume without the aid of magic tech or assistant costumers. Navy blue is durable but elastic trampoline textile. The red patches are light "armor": nylon twill that cover squares of Impact foam, the kind used for bike helmets and ski suits, designed to absorb blunt trauma.<br />Spiderman, doesn't need bulletproofing, he dodges bullets, so the padding could in no way hinder his mobility. So no padding around the joints and bend points of the abdomen. It would be hard to tuck into those classic Spidey poses with padding in the way. <br />The helmet is stainless steel, lined with impact foam as well. The two extra eyes are the lenses of light intensifier tubes used to give his goggles night vision. <br />He has 4 zip pockets. The two on his thighs are under the impact foam and carry his smartphone and a leatherman all in one tool kit. The wrist pockets carry his web-fluid refill cartridges. The shooters themselves were designed to look a little more raygun tech. The "barrel" spins when in action.<br />The Shoes are styled after the Fila Skeletoes, [link] , designed supposedly for parkour runners to have a greater barefoot gait and thus more agile. It works better on Robin anyhow.<br /> The main hurdle for me was how to make red green and yellow not look circus. Damian is many things, but he ain't circus.
