Chambara Hero Wonder Woman.

An explanation of "Chambara"--> [link]

Chambara Hero Wonder Woman is called 'Kaiketsu no Kimi'.

Himeko grew up in a secret enclave hidden in the densely forested and mountainous Tohoku region. The village was founded by the shaman princess Pimiko, the first Empress of Japan. The Empress was forced to flee the palace to this place after a coup by the nobility led by her own son. Forever soured to the male gender and the outside world, she sealed herself and her surviving personal entourage away in a remote hamlet. Her shamanic powers kept them all from aging, and when accidental death claimed one of their number, abducted male travelers could provide them with children.

The most recent child born in this way was the Empress' own daughter, Himeko. She was given the surname 'Daikichi', meaning 'Great Blessing'. And so Himeko was raised to be a princess, trained in the use of the sacred naginata, schooled in the ancient philosophies, and educated in the mysteries of the earth, rock, and tree.

Eventually, the headstrong girl began to yearn to see the outside world, and her daily wanderings began to take her to the forbidden borders of their village and beyond. This is how she came upon young samurai, Shichiro Toriba, as he was being pursued by bandits. Ignoring the laws strictly forbidding her from doing so, she swiftly dispatched the bandits and rescued him. Upon learning of her crime, the Empress was forced to banish her from the village-- though she also conferred upon her the task of representing the philosophies and principles of the village to the wider world.

Himeko now travels Japan, engaging in adventures while struggling to understand the confusing cultures of the people beyond her village. Rumors have labeled her Kaiketsu no Kimi, for her archaic speech and mannerisms and her breathtaking martial skill.

My name is Xien Xao Lin and a few days ago my sister, my queen, Diana sent me from home to learn about man's world. She forged these bracelets out on nth metal and with a blood spell, I now share a portion of her strength. The young man with me represents the best and the worst of man's world, much like his father, the Raven is a mixture of dark and light, yet unlike his father he struggles with the evil that lies beneath in wait. His father wants me to stay under his tutelage to become a better warrior, but I have been taught by the finest Amazons in the ways of war and I was told the only other amazon to show such promise was my sister Diana.

Against his father's wishes, the Raven takes me on a patrol of Gotham city. It is a dark place where the shadows seem to never cease even in the sunlight and at night, it is so much worse. As we go from roof top to roof top, from criminal to criminal he tells me of his past and all who live in the shadow of the Batman his father created. As I listen to him, I wonder if his name will one day mark a slab of stone in the Wayne Manor cemetery, like Dick Grayson (the only man the Raven, Damien, seems to have had respect for outside of his father), or will he become like Tim Drake the current Batman. As I watch him move through the shadows I am certain that it will be the latter and he will rise above his father's shadow and become the greatest Batman of them all.

After three weeks in Gotham I decide that this city holds too much despair for me to get used to in such a short amount of time and Mr. Wayne arranges a different arrangement for me. As I leave I look deep into Damien's eyes and I see a light that had escaped me before, he leans over and gives me a kiss, it is my first and as I wave from Lois Kent's car, as we depart to Metropolis, I pray to Aphrodite that it won't be our last.

This is what it looks like when I try to draw an alternate version of Wonder Woman in the style of ~BRUZZer. At first glance I'd be the first to admit that she doesn't look like Wonder Woman, but almost everything is there: the tiara, the lasso, the colors, the W-shape, the bathing suit.

The child's name is Xien Xao Lin, I brought her here when she was a babe, when this island was full of scholars, warriors, and poets. She learned from each and mastered everything taught to her but the one thing they failed to teach her was death, but she learned that here as well. A plague killed all who lived here and worse the corpse's were battle crazed husk that would only rest if all were island. I wasn't here when the plague happened and for seven days the child lived here keeping them from escaping until I arrived. That was two years ago, neither of us have left this place since, but I realize that I must let this child go. The curse that keeps me here does not apply to her, for I am the last in flesh, yet this child will be the last in spirit.

The two years that have passed here are sixteen that have passed in Man's world, I trust my sister/my daughter to the one of the only men I fully trusted, he will know when she is ready. My name is Diana of Themsescyria, I was once called Wonder Woman but now that legacy will be Xien's but only if she accepts it. We watch the sunset fall over our island one last time together before I tell her what I have planned. She looks at me with understanding eyes and promises me that we will not be the last.

Another no-lasso-picture.
This picture really stands out for me, mostly because I hardly recognise myself (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). It might be the angle, the huge amount of lipstick I put on or the editing (my beauty spot is gone! XD) - still, I like it very much and it adds some variety to my Wonder Woman gallery.

I promised a lasso-free picture of my Wonder Woman costume and here it is! It's another picture ~NiklasLiebig took of me last September at Connichi. Our little photoshoot happened absolutely spontaneously, so we went to the first spot that came to our minds: The backyard of a hotel close to the con site. I think we found a very fitting location (at least for the first quarter of Odyssey).

Wonder Woman costume redesign I did. This is essentially how I would redesign. Diana if someone threaten to kill me to change her already great costume. I wanted her to look like a superhero with a Greco roman background as opposed to just looking like poor man's Xena which a lot of redesigns I see fall into. Loved the design they did for injustice gods among us since it balanced out both the superhero and amazon aspects with her costume.

I put off doing this one because I thought it looked stupid. But today I altered the design a bit: added a beard, gave long hair, and put....whatever that is on his chest (I was inspired by an image on Google). And now I'm very happy with the result! I think the beard was a good idea. Just like my previous Wonder Woman redesign, the look is heavily influenced by Greek warriors.

I just want to make clear that I am not trying to over-sexualize any characters, but if a character's canon demeanor is sexual, then I will keep it's genderbent form sexual.

I kept the outfit revealing because of all the controversy over Wonder Woman's costume.

Of course it's gonna be Diana for this one. I'm really pleased with how this turned out, as I think I managed to make her look strong and feminine at the same time. As for the costume, I went with the look I did way back when, but I think it turned out much better in this one for one reason or another. The anatomy also seems pretty good for the most part, though the right leg could have used some work, and I think the lasso turned out pretty good too. I did make another time-lapse video for this one, but the footage seems to have been lost to the aether, so I might be able to put that up later on, but I might not. Overall, I'm really pleased with this one, and I think it might be the best thing I've done so far.

Wonder Woman Meets Sailor Moon

I had this dusty old piece that featured a crossover between Sailor Moon and Wonder Woman that once held a place in my gallery here on deviantART, I liked the idea behind it so I decided to re-do the piece to give it a fresh perspective using the New 52 initiative from DC Comics as inspiration.

For the Sailor Guardians, I opted to use their Eternal costumes as it gives them a unified look. I did my best to capture each character and had fun especially with the Inners. I think Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon came out looking the best though. The line-up for, those not familiar with Sailor Moon, is (from L to R) Sailor Venus, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Moon, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn. For the DC Comics heroines, I decided to pick my seven favourites in the New 52 in addition to Wonder Woman. On the far left we have Starfire. She's grown on me tremendously over the course of "Red Hood & The Outlaws" with the recent storyline where she goes back to Tamaran to help her sister fight the Blight cinching my appreciation for her. After all, she commanded her own starship AND did so while fully clothed! Next is Supergirl. Love her. She's just so cute and her adventures are pretty fun. Next to her is the controversial Batgirl. While many are still shaking their fist at DC for having placed Barbara back in the mantle, I couldn't be happier. I've found her title to be enjoyable and she's so funny and charismatic that it makes up for whatever faults the book may have. In the centre is Black Canary. She's much-changed in the New 52 but retains her core personality thankfully. I've loved her in both Birds of Prey and the few issues of Team 7 that I've read. Next to Canary is her BFF Starling. Starling is hands-down the best new character at DC and she's just fifty shades of awesome. I thought I'd miss Helena Bertinelli but Starling makes up for her absence and more. Second to the far right is Batwoman. I adore Batwoman. She's the most well-written character in all the comics I've read from the last few years and her title is more than just entertaining... it's art. It's not your stereotypical comic and feels more like a work of true literature that you can compare to the great works of the literary masters I studied in university. Lastly, on the far right is Mera. I think she's great and Aquaman's title is largely so entertaining because of her. Of course, having read Blackest Night and Brightest day recently (you can read my review of Brightest Day here: [link] my appreciation and love for her has only continued to grow. Wonder Woman, of course, is at the top. She's the mama of all superheroines. While her title may not be as good as it once was when penned by the comic book Gods George Perez and Greg Rucka (why is it so hard to find writers like them who actually RESPECT Wonder Woman?!?!), it is at least vaguely entertaining. On the bottom we have our two Big Bads -- Queen Beryl and Hera.

I suppose if you twisted my arm to come up with some kind of story to suit this piece, it would be that Hera descends into Hades' underworld and encounters the shade of the defeated Queen Beryl. Recognizing her burning hatred and unwavering jealousy, Hera resurrects the evil sorceress and promises her Godly powers as long as she can eliminate one simple woman -- Princess Diana of the Amazons, otherwise known as Wonder Woman! As Beryl unleashes an army of the undead on America, it's up to Wonder Woman and her allies to stop her as well as the combined forces of the Sailor Guardians!

A Wonder Woman fanfic

This is follows on from the Golden Age story 'The Hatred of Badra.' Badra the villain of that story is a bit like Superman, a refugee from a ruined planet who has incredible power. She tried to form a criminal gang of girls in order to take control of the world. She was defeated by Wonder Woman and taken to Transformation Island to be reformed.

Well those of you that have followed me , might remember a comic series I did with Wonder Woman battling the Hulk, well I ran across this Avengers Youtube clip, The light went on in the head, I just had to see what might be possible
THIS IS STILL IN THE WORKS little project.
there are probably a lot of WW clips out there that would probably fit but this one came to mind at the moment.
The original clip has Hulk standing beside Thor from the Avenger movie, So with a little magic orca Touch we have Wonder Woman trying to take done the Hulk, as this portrays its almost like swatting a fly, I think its kind of comical, I hope that I can refine this & make it another great Orca creation ? ?

so far this has taken about 3 hours rough draft lol
so what you members think , or would you like to see in place of Wonder woman, keep in mind I am using footage from produced videos, I want your opinions as if I can make this look good I just might see what Christina Carter her self thinks LOL thats right that is CC role playing as her Wonder Woman

This has got me on the hunt for more Avenger footage that includes of course the Hulk if you find some send me a note & maybe thoughts on what you would like to see, maybe we can make a little HULK SMASH Special
I think this just might have gotten rid of my Creative Block that I have fallen into.

Look up little boys, you are wading into the deep end of the gene pool.

I resisted adding characters such as these to the roster of the Blue Velvets because they are class unto themselves.
A female character has to be at least semi-divine to get into this category.

Hi guys! I have had this one sitting onmy belt for some time now and really didn't get around to finishing it until my fiancee and I watched an animated movie about Wonder Woman's origins. It's actually really good, and I recommend watching it if you're a DC comics fan. Anywhoo, this is another one of my realistic comic character pieces and while I've drawn Diana before, my intention was to draw her in her classic outfit and give off that tough, sexy and strong vibe that Dian does so well both in her comics and in own right as a character. I'd have to say that this one did give me a bit of trouble, seeing as how many huge areas there were to shade with q-tips and to try and keep it as smooth as possible, but I think its most likely one of my favorites yet. Anyways, feedback and comments are always welcome!

Utensil(s) Used: .7mm mechanical pencil, HB pencil, Q-tips for shading.
Time: Approximately 8 hours.

I’ve been wanting to redesign Wonder Woman forever - pretty much every “official” design looks absolutely ridiculous for a bevy of reasons (except the late-60’s white costume…that was pretty awesome). Anyway, I wanted to give her something that honors the basic look and pallet, but that isn’t a strapless bathing suit. I had seen this golden armor-like outfit made by Alexander McQueen that is sort of the basis for this, but then I plugged in these ideas stolen from Brienne of Tarth (because she really IS what WW should be). This whole design isn’t exactly supposed to be actual practical armor, but more a kind of ceremonial armor (that actually covers her too! WAT). Something majestic like she just walked out of a Ribera painting.
