I must see this! This thing took far longer than I had originally intended, and is completely digital.

Considering I went from one coloring style to the other in the span of a few weeks, this is just the biggest thing I had to deal with and was quite the undertaking.

I'm still working on this way of coloring, and not completely saying I won't mess with the other sharper looking version...but I tend to go through phases of personal growth where I must work forward to find whatever it is that i'm trying to get too.

This was one of those things that made me have to work with it - and really, before I started putting the color down I ALMOST did the basic lines and comic colors. I even have a lined version I did traditionally of Knockout sitting next to me. But after talking with Gen about it and how she wanted it done up in this painty poo style i'm trying to work with, I started actually tinkering with it and low and behold, it worked. Well, to a point. I'm not going to go nit picking it because I do really like it and very glad she does too - just well, you know the drill about the artist being the worst critic.

You will not progress if you cannot find your own faults yourself.

Anyway, trio of the bad boy cons - of course my doodle powers tend to lean into making them more growly face and sharp clawed then they should be...but blah.

Red is really, REALLY hard to deal with, Holy crap Knockout.

I love them all, but Megatron makes me glee the most...but I love that stupid monster so it's all good.

ENJOY WOMAN! And the rest of the crazies who may like this ajfhskjdgg imagery.

Transformers Prime is like the best thing ever to me, as far as the franchises go. I just...can't find myself caring to much on the others like I used too. AT ALL. Hopefully my personal reasoning doesn't somehow offend people who aren't me. My goodness!

If you didn't comprehend that statement, basically don't go up to some big woman and tell her she doesn't look like a chick. Because she's probably going to beat your ass.

Either way, I loved how they came out, and it was a fun fun idea to play with.

I like how it came out, but as the artist, I'd probably nit pick the thing to hell and back but I do that with everything so i'll leave it alone...for now.

Those color holds sucked on all that energy and his spines and the damn water by the way. Holy ARHJSKHSK.

Originally was going to try a different look but after messing around with Prime stuff when I got around to this commission, I ended up asking if it was alright to test out the look. Wee!

I like TFPrime a lot...I really, really do.

I will say though, that turning that CGI look into lines and other craziness is going to take some getting used too. I keep having to beat back the growly "THAT DOESN'T COMPUTE" voice, because it is imo pretty hard to get to look right, to my eyes anyway, and i'm a little OCD with it so i'm doomed anyway. I fear for the day I try and draw Optimus...I really, really am.

But yeah, the specifics:

Done up on Bristol Vellum paper 11"x14", same stuff Elita 1 was done on (never getting it again UGH Smooth is so much better personally), Faber Castell PITT artist pens sizes XS, S, B, and my Copic Multiliner SP 0.5. Still need to obtain more of these...

I like TFPrime a lot...I really, really do.

I will say though, that turning that CGI look into lines and other craziness is going to take some getting used too. I keep having to beat back the growly "THAT DOESN'T COMPUTE" voice, because it is imo pretty hard to get to look right, to my eyes anyway, and i'm a little OCD with it so i'm doomed anyway. I fear for the day I try and draw Optimus...I really, really am.

But yeah, the specifics:

Done up on Bristol Vellum paper 11"x14", same stuff Elita 1 was done on (never getting it again UGH Smooth is so much better personally), Faber Castell PITT artist pens sizes XS, S, B, and my Copic Multiliner SP 0.5. Still need to obtain more of these...

I would eat Starscream's face. Him staring at me throughout this whole process since he was the first to get rendered was kinda crazy. But oh...now for technical stuff.

Image was originally done up on 11x17" Bristol Smooth in mechanical pencil .7/.5, inked up in Faber Castell PITT S/XS and Copic Multiliner SP .5 (I need more of these stupid pens). Scanned in two parts, messed with the levels in PhotoshopCS5 then colored digitally with alterations in different places. Oh by the power of Photoshop.

I must do more traditional work, as it tends to evolve quite rapidly when i'm actually using the pencil. I'm still a little blah about some places, but eh, I do that with everything. Just will try and not make the same mistakes again- it's mostly with some of the placement and how my hand is still getting used to drawing tradtionally and inking again so bleh. I was asked to draw these two in a high-five sorta deal, and it was quite fun to play with assuredly, hehe.

The mecha belongs and is © to ~Fruxie and is desginated Blit-X. The female in power armor goes by the name Cyberette and belongs and is © to ~angerbunny.

Second full color image craziness. I do enjoy these as they make me really think and work on how I want to deal with images and color renders, but they are a lot of work, LOL. Now to fiddle with the next slots...

Just for verification, the original sketch was well, sketched on sketch paper, scanned, sketched over and modified in PhotoshopCS5, inked/lined in Paint Tool Sai THEN flats/color holds/full color renders were completed in Photoshop. I go through a lot of stuff with these darn things, doncha know.
