Unfortunately, she died yesterday.

I had made this drawing last minute a few days before the con in a few hours, and was able to get enough copies made for the members of the club and I to get signed by him. He really liked the drawing, which made me super happy. I also gave him a copy of the Gallifreycrumb Tinies book. He didn’t really have time to look at it at the moment, but I hope he likes it.

One of the members of our club and I had also gone to see him at NYCC, and she had mentioned after the fact that she was so nervous she was afraid she was going to throw up all over him. Being an asshole, I naturally drew a simple silly little doodle of her puking on Peter Davison’s face, and she ended up giving it to him. He (thankfully) thought it was really funny and laughed like loon at the whole thing. The page from the sketchbook was also covered in other various doodles and homework assignments. After he had examined the rest of the page front to back trying to make sense of it all, he made sure that I had indeed done my homework assignments on it, and asked me to sign it for him. It pretty much made my day that he was more excited about an unflattering doodle of him than he was about a portrait. He also liked Stompadon.

Unfortunately, they charged a bit for photographs, so this whole event went largely undocumented. ]]>

When I went to get it autographed, his handler/assistant was so confused, (why would you have a crayon drawing signed, there are photos there to choose from) but Peter Davison thought the drawing was hilarious. I also gave him a Doctor Whooooo owl, and he had a lot of fun moving it's head around and having it kind of hop around on the table. He thought it was a little spooky when it's head would move 360 degrees though (understandably)

Anyway, it was the highlight of my Saturday at NYCC, and he was super nice and awesome. ]]>

I loved making this one, Balthier is one of my favorite ultra sassy characters from the Final Fantasy games.
