Not much to tell about this one. It took me about an hour or so. As always, I'm in it for the fun. Nothing quite like turning up the music and building a whole new world, with it's own people, places, and sights. It's a great escape

The base planet texture (for both planets) came from here: [link] (NASA Visible Earth: Central Sahara). I really love the texture of that image; it works great, in my opinion, for simple planets. Other textures in this piece are some of my own cloud photos. This is my first time trying out these kind of stars. Not too sure what I think of them yet. Also almost forgot to mention, the font I used for the lower-right text can be found on dafont.com here: [link]

On the surface, this piece is definitely lacking many details, and instead is soft, maybe even kind of hazy. In its calmness, it reminded me of a dream. Which then lead me to think, if this piece represents a dream (to me) what would a nightmare look like? I wonder if maybe I'll be able to make a contrast piece to this one, only with the tables turned. I think it would be neat to try sometime.

Some may find this ridiculous these days, but I have chosen (c). I respect that many will disagree, and, although I find that a saddening fact, you are entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine. "Dreamscape" Artist's Description:

I was sitting here thinking about it, and I realized my motivation for creating this piece is actually pretty...stupid. I had made two new pieces, Marvel, and I Drop Gems, and I wanted to share them with my FB friends. But I've got this thing about even and odd numbers: I could not just upload two new pictures, I needed three. Seriously. So I made Dreamscape up in a hour or so and called it good. I'm so weird.

This piece is named Dreamscape after the 009 Sound System song/music of the same name. I was feeling very techno trance yesterday and was listening to all sorts of cool music of the like.

I haven't decided if I want to offer this as a wallpaper pack yet. I was thinking about it, but I don't know if it's good enough. I am kind of lazy, I don't often fix my mistakes. I really wish I had been able to create a better perspective, a little more reality. Still learning.

The guts of this piece are made up of a lot of brushing, some of my own cloud textures, some teeny tiny asteroids made in the free 3D program Bryce, and some handy dandy standard Photoshop filters. Oh, and adjustment layers. I am hopelessly addicted to adjustment layers...

I just like to use them to give me a boost, another way to learn some new techniques and get myself out of the box and hopefully give me some ideas. I'm a bit wary of uploading a piece that's so similar to another artist's work, especially an artist as amazingly talented as that one, but I can't help myself. My "I Drop Gems" is just a learning piece, but I still like the way it came out. "Romeo and Juliet wallpaper pack" Artist's Description:

A relatively quick painting. In this piece everything (save for a custom brush that started out as an Apophysis fractal) was created in Photoshop with the use of filters, basic brushes, and adjustment layers. This was a new technique for me. I think it holds promise and is worth pursuing

I was just playing around. (I know, what else is new) and I hadn't planned on making a wallpaper, but at some point I ended up thinking "Hey, this is kind of neat," and so a haphazard wallpaper pack was created

640 x 960 (vertical)
800 x 600
900 x 900 (square)
1024 x 768
1024 x 1024 (square)
1280 x 800
1366 x 768
