Jaq. I don't know his full name yet, since Murthian names are preeeetty long. D: But he's a character I made based off Silo from Retribution Falls, a pretty nice sci-fi/fantasy adventure book. I modified the Murthian race a bit to suit my own tastes, but other than that, he's a normal engineer with a slightly dark and sad past. BAWWW FEEL BAD FOR HIMMMM

I've never painted with Sai before. But a few of my friends do, and I downloaded it today to try it out. I can say that it is LOADS easier to draw and paint in Sai than photoshop ever has been, no matter how much I use it. Expect more of my digital drawings to be done in this new program - it rocks.

Also, a friend of mine has me sucked into the abyss of Hanna is Not a Boy's Name. So, expect a lot of that, too.

I've always wondered what Spy would look like without his mask on...

So, to humour my curiosity, I did a Jay-the-Savior interpretation of what I think Spy looks like under his balaclava. c: i figured no scars on his face since his mask is so open already with the eye and mouth cut-outs, and he would have a small amount of hair, but not much considering he's wearing a thin mask.

So, I'm sure most of the people that have heard of sailors getting lost at sea have heard of the Albatross that leads them back to shore. The Albatross is said to lead them to shore for the bird's need for food, and their pattern of flight.

This is a false statement.

The Albatross does not follow any flight pattern whatsoever. The bird flies in random patterns, following their scarce foodsource throughout their lives. They fly over 1.5 million miles in their lifetime.

Since the Albatross does not follow any pattern of flight, they do not lead sailors to shore. Instead, they are a sign of very bad luck, since they don't do what people thought they did. I incorperated such bad luck into this painting of a merman getting sucked under by a giant octopus - merpeople are the giant octopuss' foodsource. The Albatross is the source of the merman's death, since it is a sign of bad luck. I really wanted to do a piece of bad luck, and the albatross seemed like a good symbol to cause such things.
