Mud Golems

Golem;
There are many differing tales of how the Golem was brought to life and then controlled. One says he was an entity created out of clay that was brought to life by inserting into his mouth a shem (a capsule containing the name of God). The rabbi who created this Golem wrote the word emet, the Hebrew word for truth, on his forehead and to immobilize him he pulled out the shem. In another the shem was a small ball placed in the Golem's forehead.

Ive been suffering from terrible creative block Usually when I cant think of anything new to make I just look for cool stock I might want to use in the future... as it turns out... I guess Ive turned into a stock HORDER! Yikes! I have so many pieces of stock saved to my computer... so today I sorted them into model, background and extras folders and came up with a plan to get through them This was my first! So what Im doing is making myself use the very first model stock and the very first background stock and putting them together And its still going to take me forever

Poison Ivy

Last week I got Poison Ivy all over my hands... and I couldn't do anything!!!!! It was horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I basically sat on the couch for a whole week whining like a baby And thats were I got the idea to do a Poison Ivy piece Theres tons of cool poison ivy stock models here on DA (and this might have looked cooler if I used it) but I really wanted to try to make her myself.

I created this for the Yowser Gribble contest on

This is my image from a scene in the Yowster Gribble story that you can read here [link]

The branches twisted and turned transfroming before his very eyes, until eventually they had taken the shape of a small hand.
The hand bent over from the trunk and started to slide into the thin layer of soil in its pot, defying all physical logic as it disappeared deeper than humanely possible.
The hand went wrist deep then stopped abruptly, passing for a few seconds before starting to reappear. When the hand was visible to its fingertips, Daniel could see it was holding a
small square piece of card, extracted from the soil. He eyes widened further still as the hand tilted to turn towards him, opening its palm and seemingly offering him the card.
Daniel nervously leant forward, gently taking the card from the 'bonsai hand'. As he flipped the blank card over to see if there was anything on it, the branches twisted and turned again restoring itself back to its original form.
Daniel took a step back, suprised, startled but somewhat excited.
With his smile gone, he read the words on the card aloud.

"Yowser Come".
"I wonder what that means" he said.

Picked up a paintbrush this weekend and enjoyed some Low-Tech art creating I made this for my daughters room (she's 13) The main character is inspired by one of my daughters drawings. On the bottom of the image I wrote 1 Corinthians 13:4-8... The reason for this is because me and her haven't been getting along the best and I thought it fit perfectly
