This is done so the majority of D&D players will recognize the interface and be familiar with it and reduce the amount of tutorials and documentation I need to write. Additionally, it's homage to one of the greatest RPG series of all time; they clearly got D&D.

Tons of disclaimers I don't have time to write (like Rituals should be multiple books of 128 pages max, not 1 single book for all rituals, no easy way to add custom skills / feats, missing detail screens, missing icons for powers, etc.), but I had to get a draft up.
