Cinderella Makeup Eyes

I've been putting this one off for too long! I was really nervous about doing the carriage. Those swirly wheels... oh my god! I must have done them at least half a dozen times! But I finally did it! Yay! So we've got the Fairy Godmother turning the pumpkin into the carriage and on the other side is the castle. I had to draw out that castle a million times trying to get it right! Hopefully it's recognizable.

I'm having HUGE artist block. I can't come up with anything! I'm really not happy with this look, but I haven't posted anything in a while and I figured a few might enjoy it. A few nights ago I tried to do a Wreck it Ralph design and... lets just say it was one of the worst things I've ever created. Oh god, so bad! As requested, I've designed a look inspired by BOTH Cheshire cats. I have the traditional pink and purple and underneath I have the blue. There are stripes in there, but you cant see them because of my lashes. Boo!

I wanted to incorporate the smile into the look. Originally I was going to do just white, but I found the yellow stood out WAY more! I've done two versions of this look. One without the funky details and one with.

Those teeth were a PAIN! The liquid eyeliner kept catching all of the lashes and... buh. Took way too long! haha!

WHICH DO YOU PREFERRRR? I couldn't decide which I liked better!

I'm sure a lot of you were expecting this... considering how obsessed I am with Lord of the Rings, of course I'm going to do a Hobbit one!

On the left is the back of Smaug on his pile of gold and jewels. Bilbo too, but he's invisible! haha! Then on the right is the scene where Bilbo and the dwarves outsmart the trolls. There's the fire, the 3 trolls and Bilbo dangling in the trolls grasp.

Everyone has been asking me to do a dragon look. I finally did it, but not really what everyone was asking for! Though if you're looking to use this for something, just simply change the colours to what you need and BAM! Instant dragon look! Well, not exactly instant.

I didn't filter this with photoshop or anything. It's just a different white balance on my camera. I used the same one for my Ice Queen look. Man does it ever change the look! When I first started photographing this, it wasn't looking very good. Then I changed it to this and it fit the look much better!

A Christmas Carol - Eyes

This is my favourite Christmas story! Actually the Muppets Christmas Carol is the best! But I've also read the awesome book!

On the left is the Cratchit house with Scrooge looking in the window. (Terribly sorry he looks terrifying haha!) Then on the right are the 3 spirits. The future spirit has a tombstone in front.

It's that time of year again!
Ok, it's slightly early, but still!

So I decided to do another Halloween scene. This one has a tree, a big moon with bats flying across it and 3 kids dressed as a ghost, a witch and a cat. Then on the other side is a spooky house with two pumpkins and a cat sitting on a fence.

No, I didn't photoshop my new wig. I just used a different white balance! Hence why everything has a blue hue to it! I didn't even adjust the saturation, contrast or anything on it either! I my camera! It gives me the correct colours I'm looking for... when it's being nice!

I drew this design out and planned for it to be really fun and easy. I was completely wrong! The blue on the forehead is supposed to be water ripples when the sun hits it. I tried for hours and hours and finally got my boyfriend to give me a hand. Still not perfect, but definitely better than what I was doing. Who knew water was so hard? So a big thank you to Kenny for giving me a hand with this!

Oh! I got a new wig when I went to Fan Expo! It's my first blue wig! Yay!

I was playing around with makeup and this came out of it. To me, it kind of looks like a comet. Its a strange sort of shape for eyeshadow, especially for my eyes. I have a lot of sharp angles, so a round shape was actually really hard to get!

The red on my eyes is actually very shimmery, like the gold, but for some reason my camera made it look really matte? It's the same red I used on my lips, just mixed differently.

How I did my lips:
I put down a black eyeliner first. Added Sugarpill's Asylum red eyeshadow. Added a red tinted lipgloss and mixed my lips together. This made a really dark burgundy colour, seen on the edges. I added more red without mixing and then added Sugarpill's gold eyeshadow in the middle.

So many sparkles! I started with just black and blue... then the sparkles attacked me! I wish they would show better in the photo. The little "fireworks" are extremely sparkly. Ridiculously hard to get them off though. The sparkles just migrate to the hairline.

Lord of the Rings Eyes

I've finally done it! I've finally created my favourite movie, Lord of the Rings. I've been putting it off for so long because I wanted it to be perfect... and I'm quite pleased with it! Though it seems whenever I'm proud of it, you guys don't care much for it. But you know what? I'm so freaking proud of this one that even if no one likes it, it's made me happy!

One small problem I have with it... is apparently Gandalf is riding a donkey in mine. Haha! Definitely doesn't look like a horse.

Today I was helping a friend do graduation photos for Grade 8 Grads. Hence the "Normal" makeup! Schools around here don't have air conditioning... it was 36 today (96.8 for you silly Americans) with humidity making it feel like 42. In a gym with 400+ gross sweaty people. I was literally melting! But my makeup stayed the entire time. Thank you Lime Crime for making the best primer I've ever used. Holy crap!

Oh and this is why I've been wearing wigs for the past couple photos! My hair has faded so much! It's so sad!

Does anyone need sunglasses? Pretty sure I'm the palest thing here! The day was extremely dull and rainy, so I had to use my natural light bulb, that apparently likes to make me look like a vampire. The red doesn't help!

I know I have a few more Green Day looks to do, but I just got my Lime Criime unilines and I had to use them! Ah! They're fantastic! The brush is so tiny I don't even need to use my spotter brush!

So this is the scene where they're in the bayou and they dance. It has Tiana and Prince Naveen dancing on the lily pad, Ray giving a bit of mood lighting with the other fireflies and the scary voodoo shadows creeping up on them.

Normally I'm all about the bright crazy colours, but I actually really like the softness of the rainbow in this. I used Lime Crimes pastel colours from their Palette D'Antoinette, plus a blue from BH. I also did a softer line from the eye. Instead of a harsh point, I feathered it out.

For this, I've actually got 2 slightly different designs. This is the second version I did, which incorporates more of the cover into the design. I also added dark shadows under my eye to "appear" as if I'm deathly tired. It didn't take much makeup for that! haha! I also added the 8 ball which so many of you suggested!

This was difficult to photograph! I took 230 photos of this just to get it to look right. It still didn't. The sparkles up by the brow are a heck of a light shinier and there are hundreds of sparkles on my lid. But it just looks like I'm wearing shimmery eyeshadow. Gaahhh. I'm also going to have blue eyebrows for the next couple days! haha!

I couldn't add all of the detail (since there was just SO much) so I settled with the main explosion. Also, this is obviously not supposed to be a wearable look. I've never tried the lace pattern before and let me tell you, it was quite a challenge! Pretty sure I redid this at least 10 times! I used a piece of lace and it was difficult to find the right pattern and to get it to show properly!

This is done in celebration of Lime Crimes new Marie Antoinette palette! I wanted to create a look using all of the new colours. It has gorgeous soft pastels in it! <3

I entered this yesterday and an hour later this popped up: [link] So I commented on it laughing that I had posted a look exactly like this just an hour before. I wasn't accusing her of stealing my work or anything, I just found it funny. She replies with "I see... well good luck." Then about an hour later she deletes my comment. This seems a little fishy to me. I'm not going to report it, mainly because it's a common design to do, but I just find it really strange that almost an exact copy shows up an hour later.

The difference in texture is mine is eyeshadows, which allows it to be worn without smudging. Her's is lipstick, which would smudge. Haha!

Here's my second design of the series! This is to match the graffiti on the album!

As a lot of you know, I'm quite obsessed with Green Day. So I'm taking a quick break from scenes to do something *I* actually really want to do! Requests will be on hold until I get these out. Don't worry, it won't take me long!

I'm going to be doing a makeup look inspired by each of the albums. I'll be uploading them in a random order, just which ever album I feel like doing at the time.

If you don't like Green Day, just zone out for the next couple designs. I promise I'll be back doing them in no time!

For those Green Day fans... I'm stuck on Insomniac. The imagery is too complicated for makeup and there are so many colours. Any suggestions?
