Although, these aren't just to celebrate Easter - I cannot wait for the show to come back on this weekend! I've just finished rewatching the first two seasons in preperation for the new episodes. I am SO excited But, now I can't stop humming the theme song..

I have been pretty busy lately so I haven't had much time to play with my nails But, here's a simple design I made last night using Rio's nail art pens and holographic foil.

Thought it might be a fun idea to stick my hand into the snow to take the photo... Until I did it, haha.

Anyway, I will get back on track with new designs this week. But for now, here are some nails to suit the weather xx ]]>

I have been pretty busy lately so I haven't had much time to play with my nails But, here's a simple design I made last night using Rio's nail art pens and holographic foil.

Thought it might be a fun idea to stick my hand into the snow to take the photo... Until I did it, haha.

Like everyone else, I have loved this film ever since I first watched it - and now it's being re-released in 3D next Friday! I cannot wait to go to the cinema to see it. I had to make these nails to celebrate

These were very rushed so not as good as they could have been if I'd have taken a bit more care, but still, you get the idea - and, Shiny Shiny Also, an excuse not to do the Xmas washing up - I can't get them wet!

There's a little Gizmo on my thumb and a big close up evil Gremlin eye on the ring finger. I did use a balloon to give that nail a rubbery texture but then painted over it so that wasn't really necessary, haha. Also, I accidentally glued a balloon to myself in the process, but that's another story... Haha.

A lot of people commented that the old set's plain nails looked too big and rectangular and I totally agree, so for these ones I kept it simple and added a pokéball as another little accent.

I'll be posting some new designs very soon but thought I'd put this up to show how sometimes I mix and match/add to old sets to make something new xx ]]>

The tutorial is very easy to follow and should leave you with a perfect little Silent to show off on your nails. Here we go…

What you’ll need:

4 shades of nail polish (black, brown, white and cream)
a thin paintbrush or toothpick
a nail file


1 – Paint a pale, cream colour on your thumbnail and wait for it to dry (a nail filed into a rounded edge will work best for this part).

2 – Use a darker, brown shade to paint two curved slices at the tip of your nail, creating the face shape. Here the brush that comes with the polish will work okay.

3 – The same brown polish is used to paint two circles where the eyes should go. Again, you can use the polish’s brush, or you might choose to use a thinner brush of your own, a large ‘dotting tool’ or a toothpick - in order to be more precise.

4 – Once the brown circles are dry, blob two smaller, black circles inside them (nearer to the top works well) to give the eyes more detail.

5 – Paint four vertical lines where the mouth should be with the same brown polish as before. It is probably best to use a thin paintbrush or a toothpick for this step as it is quite delicate.

6 – Moving on to the ring finger, use a white polish to paint your whole nail and wait for it to dry.

7 – The only other polish you’ll need for this nail is black, and the first step is to paint a small triangle in the centre of the tip of your nail to create the knot of a tie.

8 – Paint a line straight down your nail from the middle of the triangle to finish the tie.

9 – Starting from the middle of the tie, paint upwards towards the corner of your nail to add one side of the suit.

10 – Do the same with the other side to finish your nail – now it should look like a little suit and tie!

Your thumb and ring finger should now match up to create the full villain! I painted the rest of my nails black but any colour would look cute. Or, you could use a thin brush or a toothpick to paint the sinister tally markings on your free nails, it’s up to you! Also, a clear top coat will make the nails look great and keep the design a bit safer from chipping (but wait for all parts to be completely dry before applying it).

This is the first tutorial I have ever made so I really hope that it was fun and helpful, and that everyone gives it a try.

Your thumb and ring finger should now match up to create the full villain! I painted the rest of my nails black but any colour would look cute. Or, you could use a thin brush or a toothpick to paint the sinister tally markings on your free nails, it’s up to you! Also, a clear top coat will make the nails look great and keep the design a bit safer from chipping (but wait for all parts to be completely dry before applying it).

This is the first tutorial I have ever made so I really hope that it was fun and helpful, and that everyone gives it a try.

I also added some yellow fuzz to my other nails for some extra fun.

These only took about 20 minutes to finish (after the clay dried) so not too bad for something on a whim I might use the yellow fuzz to make some Big Bird nails, but I've got about three sets on the go at the moment so I'll shelve that idea for a bit ]]>

Made these last night and am so pleased with them, the Evil Dead films are some of my favourites!

The Book of the Dead (or the necronomicon) thumb nail is made from clay (I think I might turn it into a necklace once I've worn them) and the rest are just normal false nails (painted with a mix of varnishes and acrylics).

The deadite (supposed to be Cheryl but I'm no good at faces) middle nail is probably the most detailed nail I've ever tried, but was only through total luck that it turned out sooort-of alright).

The index finger is a 'boomstick', the ring finger is a chainsaw and the little finger is just a wood-y design (I was thinking the rape-y tree - or just that the first two films are set in the woods/wood cabin).

I did attempt a severed hand but it turned out rubbish.
