Alum Bay at Sunset

This is the view from mine and *TouchedD's lovely holiday cottage this weekend! We were staying at Alum Bay on the Isle of Wight, which overlooked The Needles (rock formation) there in the distance. The sunsets were beautiful.

I found dis birdy whilst stalking some flowers in the garden. It was sleeping standing up just like that in the middle of the step So I took some pictures and it woke up and started posing Then it flew away

Taken a little while ago actually, I just was never sure about this shot. I had to grab it quickly as I was on private land that had a really weird warning on the gate about how there were some dogs and armed guards or something? So anyway...I'm biting the bullet and uploading it Feedback appreciated as always!

It's not quite...autumn! But we're getting there. I will go back to this place everyday for the perfect autumn shot!

As *DpressedSoul pointed out - the stats don't add up I'm using my Dad's A230 at the moment rather than my A200 because it has some horrible speckles on the lens. And my Dad being a man, has not set the time/date right on his camera

It's that time of year! Instead of getting dark around two pm it's started holding on till about four Which means I get to rush out after work with my camera. I love this spot -a lot of my Photography is centralised around this tree!!

It's always the way - a day off occurs and I'm still up early wanting to get some shots with the camera! I took this outside in the back garden this morning because the frost looked beautiful. It didn't feel beautiful since I was in Pyjamas and a dressing gown but what can you do? Get dressed? Noooo
