As soon as I saw the HOPE trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic Video game, I KNEW that I had to do this costume. I dragged out my Star Wars lore, books, and encyclopedia's and began to research. When the game came out I played, played, played.

Love this costume and character. One of the things that was very important was getting the pattern correct in the tunic. Upon closer inspection, one can see that the pattern is very specific, and her costume- leather. So and I began searching on how to make it happen.

Though we wanted to make the pattern ourselves, economically we knew that ordering custom tanned leather wouldn't be feasible in the small amounts that we would need.

Friends led us to Twisted World, an amazing company who has been in the Renaissance World under the name of Sons of Sandlar for generations. They had experience in leather patterning, and so we commissioned them to make the tunic and boots.

With the help of Ed W. - we 3D printed the buckles, and Saber parts, and then cast molds of them to make the pieces to go on the costume.

The saber was a plain dual end saber that I bought and modified.

Wig was cut, styled by me

The armor pieces were sculpted, molded and created by my loving other half.


One of the best things about this costume, other than how comfortable it is, is the response I get from it. At SDCC when I wore it at the Lucasfilm booth & SWTOR booth, I had the developers, designers and etc coming up to me and THANKING ME. My pride n joy, Arkham Asylum Poison Ivy. First of all this costume would NOT be what it is without the hard work and assistance of my VERY talented friends!

The assembling of the costume was done by me. I have to say while I am so proud of this costume, it was A LOT of work. A lot of painful work, lets just say I have burns on my legs from some of the vine applications!!

The bottom half is actually a dance stocking that is used for 'nude' scenes on stage. I modified it, painted it and then with help applied the vines to the suit. Because I had two days before Dragon*Con for this, we used hot glue. Hence, burns. I ended up having to put underarmor on and then duct tape my legs to protect my skin. Not fun.

The shirt was purchased and then dyed several times and then the logo added. I added the blue trim (hand sewed everything) and did the alterations so that the shirt was continually "open" like it is in the game.

The wig, now I am immensely proud of that. I took two wigs and lots of extensions and made the widows peak as well as the style. While I want to redo it eventually, I was very happy with the way it came out.

The panties I actually did because the sculpt didn't cover all my, erhm...areas. so I made an under layer of leaves to cover my bits.

Overall, I feel that I really did my best to be a screen accurate Arkham Asylum Poison Ivy.

I hope to eventually put her on again and do a location shoot!!

The panties I actually did because the sculpt didn't cover all my, erhm...areas. so I made an under layer of leaves to cover my bits.

Overall, I feel that I really did my best to be a screen accurate Arkham Asylum Poison Ivy.

I hope to eventually put her on again and do a location shoot!!

One of my amazing friends Raihn asked me to participate in a Belly Dance exposition at the Wolf Pack Elite Party. It was only later I realized I looked like a vampire belly dancer, lol!

We did a song to Punjab MC's mix to Night Rider, and somewhere there is a video, but honestly, I'm self conscious about belly dancing so I'm not sharing! That and half way through my top came undone, so I ended up keeping my shoulders back and NOT MOVING so as to not end up doing a Janet Jackson!!

I was sitting in the bagel shop adjacent to campus, a great place with nummy bagels, trying to write a poem for class. I was listening to classical music which kept getting overwhelmed by the reggae music they played. Look what happened. ]]>
These words fall from my pen like leaves from a tree, influenced by nature, environment and the slow strands of classical invention from my headphones mixed with the restaurants booming reggae.

Like a raging tide, it cannot be forced into submission, rather it shapes the beach, as it wants, so do the words take control. Each story is rejected by my muse, and so nothing shall be written today, rather just random pretty sentences strung together in a pleasing manner, and when read back, surprise, though like a Twinkie, sweet to the tongue, doesn’t contain much other than air and sugar.
