This was an assignment for my drawing class. Basically it was a perspective drawing. So uh, I did more atmospheric perspective than anything else. It turned out alright, but the medium kicked my ass a few times. Wish I had better photos. It was shipped off for an art show before I could get detail shots. xD

A portrait thingy of Andrej Pejic for my watercolor class. He's so beautiful. I hope I could do him justice.

Not much to say except that it was the first time I ever really used the medium to make a full illustration. Everything before that was just little technique practice things. I'm still getting used to it, so it's a little wonky here and there. But I'm pretty happy with it, despite it's shortcomings. I'll do better next time.

I got a message from an anon on Tumblr requesting a sketch that said "Sherlock Lolita???" And that was all I had to go off of. Not sure of they wanted a lolita in Sherlockian style clothing or Benedict Cumberbatch in a skirt, so I drew Benedict Cumberbatch in a skirt.

Basic Proportions

Hurdurrrrr. I did something wrong. Anyway, here it is again. *u*

Uhhh, I thought it was time I made something for the community. So here's some basic female proportions for ya. 8D; It's one of those things you really ought to memorize as an artist. Try working on your proportions with gesture drawings for a loooong time. Form sorta comes naturally once you have your proportions down.

And I know these sorts of tutorials are REAAAALLLYYY popular, but you should study real anatomy on actual figures too. A chart can only teach you so much. So yeah, don't just take my chart as absolutefactplz and follow it to a t every time. There are so many different people and shapes out there, and so many different styles.

Okay, I'm going back to my hole in the ground to work on my multitude of commissions that are glaring me down. Haaaart.

Also, please ignore the fact that she looks like a holocaust victim. I rushed the drawing and didn't flesh her out properly.

Unfortunately, he's been there so long that his skin has totally gone crazy. The slightest exposure to direct sunlight makes him tanner than a fake-baked celebrity. :C He avoids it like the plague.

She and I discussed a lot of different marking options, but I ended up putting a lot of tropical beach motifs in it and lowering the massive amount of junk that I had put on it before. I dunno, too much stuff really sabotages a design.

I like her much better this way. She seems more elegant, but with a beach-lover flare. In fact, I love this design. I'm pleased of it, in the most modest way possible.

Anyway, I felt like drawing Makime, simply because I needed more finalized work for prints. I have no idea what Lolita style you would call this. I guess "Maki Style" is appropriate. Or maybe "blinding radiation kills your eyeballs" loli.
