You can't imagine my surprise when while shopping, I picked up some random piece of worthless crap and came across a cockroach. It was an immensely beautiful little thing... not only had its ancestors survived millions of years of evolution virtually unchanged (not to mention atom bombs), it in itself was extremely alert and in tune with its surroundings. But the most beautiful thing about it was the fact that one little roach thrived in what would be considered a desolate hell-hole by other creatures. That little insect, with an extra brain in its ass, really knows how to live. It made me realize that you can find beauty anywhere. Any creature you look at is beautiful in its own respect, and you don't really have to look hard to see it.. you just have to look.
I wonder what that roach considers beautiful...

Anyways, I tried a new inking style and am very, childishly proud of the result.. Hope you like it too

This is my first real attempt at using photoshop to create anything other than lineart. It was done entirely with mouse (Ow.) Needless to say, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. There is a LOT wrong with it, but I guess I can't expect to get decent results when trying something entirely knew. The ears were better, but after I finished 'em, photoshop decided it didn't want to save. It didn't crash really, just stopped saving and opening documents. I officially hate doing digital pics entirely in mouse.

Overall I'm rather pleased but there are certain things that I don't like *coughchestandears*... I think the reason the fur looks so crappy because doing long strokes with my sticky old mouse is impossible to do smoothly. But luckily my bro is awesome and is going to let me borrow his tablet (I'm so excited). I think I like Jasmine's expression and the depth of her eyes most. What do you all think?
