Finally finished this darn thing!
Sorry about this being kinda big, but I didn't want to shrink it down to the point where half of the details are lost. :^/

Hmm, not too much to say that I haven't already said. Love these movies, love these girls, ect, etc, etc~
But remind me not to do a big night scene like this again. It took too long.

"Misty, are you done with these princesses pictures now?" ...No. No, I am not.

Their eyes are closed because I wanted these "Princesses" pictures to have a demure and dreamy look to them, and that by having their eyes closed I felt it would help lend to the mood.

All finished!
The shading for these ladies took longer than I anticipated. It was the opposite of how I expected it to go; I thought that shading the figures would go by lickety-split, and that the background would take forever. But, the opposite was true. But it's all done now, so it's all good~

Belle is my eldest sister, ~Dragonrose36's favorite princess~

For some reason I keep getting comments to the effect of, "Why are all their eyes closed?" Answer: Because I wanted these pieces to have a dreamy and demure look. Simple as that. I'm kind of perplexed that people seem to be bugged about this. <:^/

But I digress. Now we've got all of the "official" court up here~

There, finally done.

These are mine and my sisters' second favorite princesses. Jasmine is my second favorite, Tiana is ~ratscout's second favorite, and Ariel is *zimeta08's second favorite.
Rapunzel, however, is my brother ~shivan-dragon's favorite Disney princess (only real men admit who their favorite princess is). And, Jasmine is my good friend ~GrimReapette's favorite princess~ Also my sister's boyfriend, ~goldwater's favorite princess is Jasmine (only real men admit who their favorite princess is).

I think you'll have to download to see this one properly. It's kinda big, so I'm pretty sure DA will dumb it down. >:^/

Oh, I dunno... I think this took something like 10-12 hours to do? Maybe someday I'll time myself.

Someday

Aaah, finally finished! So good to be though with it. And, I am very pleased to report that I am very happy with this piece--everything turned out pretty much just how I wanted it.

I don't think I ever explained why I decided to make this piece. WELL, a while ago, at the #Disney-club we had a poll asking which princess (of the "official" court) was your favorite. My sisters and I were horrified to find that our personal favorites came in dead last.
I had to do something to make up for this lack of love.
Snow White is ~ratscout's favorite, Aurora is my favorite, and Cinderella is *zimeta08's favorite.

WIP2 "Notice"

Still picking away at this one! Finals + sudden intense illness = little work done.
But, I've got the background just about done (finally). A few areas could use more finessing, but this is pretty much it for the background.

Things might look a little weird right now because I've yet to shade in the ladies. I do all my lighting effects in the coloring/shading stages. (Which I plan to do in a Livestream. If my internet stops being a butt.)

Nyahah, and yes, the little baboon is included in this one. My sister, *zimeta08 insisted upon it. And, I think she was right about it~ I admit I love the silliness he brings in.

Things might look a little odd right now because I've yet to add in the wind effects with various things floating in the air.

Finally got the chance to start working on this one.
Still a lot of work to be done, but here's what I've got so far~ Which is just the flat colors, colored lines, and scribbles of what I want for the background.

Picking away at this one~ I've got the girls' flats all in, and their lines all colored.
Now what I'm really cutting my teeth on is the background. Which... isn't taking as long as I thought it would. :^0 I might have that second WIP up sooner than for the other two princesses pictures.

A WIP for my new Disney princesses work.

For this one, I asked my bro if I could borrow his super-nice (rather expensive) pen. I asked for his nice pen for this one, because this piece is really for him (Rapunzel is his favorite--only real men admit which Disney princess is their favorite). My bro does a lot of nice stuff for us (manages our technology issues...), so it's about time I do something nice for him.
You know, I hate to say it, but... the expensive pen really is better than what I usually use. I make due with what I have, and it works, buuuuut.... yeah. Sometimes the more expensive tool really does make that much of a difference.

Oh, and just like for "Someday", I based this off of those preliminary mugs I drew:

WIP "Someday"

I don't think I've ever uploaded a work in progress (WIP) before, so I thought I'd throw this up here just for fun~

In the actual picture, Aurora is in the center, Snow White is on the left, and Cinderella is on the right. I just put Snow White in the center for this WIP for compositional purposes. (...Composition for a WIP/teaser thing. There's something wrong with this.)

Anyway, their facial expressions should look familiar, as these final drawings are based off of the reference mugs I did earlier:

I haven't been working on this one too much, though. I've got the basic colors down and did the colored lines and the scribblings of what I want for a background.
I'm just taking my time with it~ Also I want to work on at least part of this in a Livestream. (Not sure when I'll do that, though.)

Our Forgotten Favorites

I bet you thought I was done with these. I'm not~

"But Misty, three of these ladies aren't really princesses." Yeah, but I'm the queen of rationalization. So there.
I consider Sally (The Nightmare Before Christmas) a "princess" because if Jack is the Pumpkin King, what does that make her?
Same for Jane--if Tarzan is King of the jungle, what does that make her~?
And Meg, I think I remember some variation of the myth where she was like a princess or something? I may be mistaken. But, in any case, she marries a demigod, so she's entitled to be a "princess" (more so than Mulan, in my opinion).
And Kida is obviously a princess, so no rationalization needed there.

Of these four, Kida is my favorite. Hands down, bar none. She is just a powerful character, in every meaning of the word. I adore her. She even gave Pocahontas a run for her money for my favorite in terms of design.
My sister, *zimeta08, likes Jane best for our "forgotten" favorites. (Jane is a very close second for me.) And Kida is also my little sister ~ratscout's "forgotten" favorite.

EDIT: I addressed this before on a previous Princesses pieces, but I've already gotten this question a few times on this one, so: for my "princesses" pieces, I wanted them to have a dreamy and demure look, and I felt that by having their eyes closed that would lend to the mood.
I honestly do not understand why people seem to be put-off by having their eyes closed.

Our Other Favorites

Hmmn? A sequel for a sequel? Sure looks that way! :^D Hey, I have to complete the series. Not doing so would be a cop out.
Mugshots for my own reference purposes.

I didn't want to call this one our "last" favorites or "third" favorites. Because they aren't. For me, I can never really settle on a third favorite princess. The list goes: Aurora, Jasmine. And then, depending on my mood, it can be any of the other princesses for third. It's just the way my fickle mind works. And, in truth, there is not one Disney princess (or just lady in general) that I don't like; I love them all.
(Belle is my eldest sister ~Dragonrose36's favorite princess, though!)

Pocahontas, however, is my favorite princess in terms of structure. Hands down, bar none. Pocahontas is drop dead gorgeous. Every second she's on the screen, my eyes stay pinned on her.
