Gotham Sirens - Batman

I bought a bunch of Ivy at a gardening shop, and cut each leaf off, then hand sewed them all on to a cover made to fit over my Stocking Bunny Suit. This took a ridiculous amount of time because I wanted the leaves to actually look like they had some rhyme & reason to them rather than just haphazardly slapping them on to cover as much square space as possible. I also wanted to sew them rather than glue them because it would be more secure and I didn't want to risk damaging the bunny suit underneath it.Okay so. There's this one episode of Batman: The animated series in which batman is out of town and only Robin's around. There's a bunch of weird plant monster's tearing the place up, so obviously it's gotta be Ivy's doing! He hunts her down and WHOA WHAT she's married to some dude living happily with him and his two kids! She's just like, seriously robin fuck off this is my life now I'm happy go away. He kinda does but still suspects her. Turns out she's created a plant that over the course of a week turns from her youngest son, to her eldest son, to her husband, to a giant plant monster that goes rampaging across Gotham. Robin puts a stop to all that blah blah blah, but at the end of the episode she escapes and is on a bus looking sadly at a picture of her family AND NO NO NOTHING IS WRONG THERE'S JUST SOMETHING IN MY EYE

Bunny Girl Haruko - FLCL

I absolutely adore FLCL it is one of my all time favorite series and every character in it means the world to me ;; Lionel is a sweet angel and made me the most beautiful bass in the world and I can't wait to make every version of Haruko to wear with it!!!

There is so much steel in this bodice it's ridiculous - 28 pieces of steel boning, and 6 steel stays. You could kill a man with this bunny suit. The ears are vinyl on vinyl satin stiched because I hate myself I guess??? This version of Haruko's bunny suit is different from the artbook in that it doesn't have the studded bullet belt or the two guns, and I have a bass!!

Strawhat Luffy - One Piece

based on the picture Oda drew!!! I love luffy so much I wanna be all the luffys ahhhhh I'M GONNA BE KING OF THE PIRATES COME ON NAKAMA LET'S GO

I made the top out of double knit jersey, self lined! The shorts are just a pair of shorts I had laying around I attached fur trim to. Shoes I ordered from J-list and added and extra strap for luffy's shoes, although it kept moving around so i have to do something about that in the future?? The hat was a neon yellow luffy hat I ordered, spray painted a less atrocious color, replaced the band on, and added leather straps so it wouldn't fly away!!! The donuts are real, and the flag I painted on some scrap fabric I had laying around! I painted the CRI☆MIN symbol on my inner tube using acrylic paint~

Sailor Star Lights - Sailor Moon

I'm soooo happy with how this group came out!! Giana and Amanda looked amazing, and it was great getting to work on the costumes together!! Seiya is one of my dream costumes and I'm really happy I finally mustered up the emotional fortitude to make him!! I did my make up as manly as possible then added eyelashes in an attempt to look more manly and dashing, which I hope worked.

The boots are bootcovers that are interfaced at the top to keep the points stiff, which was also done with the gusseted gloves. The shorts are lined in black spandex which the yellow is doubled over and sandwiched between, the bra is a bra top with pieces interfaced and hand sewn over it. The blue bra straps are satin elastic as is the stomach piece. The fuku is interfaced with cotton. The center pieces on the bra were made by our lovely Healer, Amanda!! The Gold headbands were made by myself and Amanda, and the ear pieces were a collaborative effort between all three of us!! I'm upset I'm not more manly and had a lot of boob issues (if they were completely in the bra they looked MASSIVE and that was bad, but then I had a ton of underboob......idk man fucking boobs) but this is a dream costume of mine with a dream group. I can't wait to wear Seiya again!!!!

Kimonostuck - Homestuck

This is actually my first real kimono, which was very exciting to me!! The facing is a really lovely gradient silk I found, then embroidered a bunch of kitty cats onto, then painted stripes with fabric paint, then embroidered all the flowers on to, the lining is a light purple cotton. The faux obi is made from brocade, and cotton sateen, which is also used on the collar of my kimono. The hair bow is made from extensions, hot glue and craft foam. The Kanzashi is fake flowers and the ends of a cheap paper fan dremmeled for the correct shape. The miniskirt is jersey with elastic lace straight stretch stitched on!

I'm actually really thrilled with how this costume came out - I feel like it's one of the first really pretty costumes I've made in a while? It also took me much longer than most of my projects take me just from the sheer amount of embroidery!

Wow I have never been so upset making a costume in my life. This is one of those costumes that I know is well within my skill level, but emotionally very taxing on me???? I feel like no matter what my costume looks like I'm always going to be upset I didn't literally summon it with my planetary powers.

and can I just say Michiru and Haruka gave me the most unrealistic standards for a relationship EVER at a very young age, I'm basically still mad I wasn't a flawless world renown concert violinist with a hot live-in motorcyclist girlfriend at the age of 16????????? Who wouldn't want to be Michiru god damn. I've also been obsessed with deep sea creatures and the ocean ever since I was a little kid which is another reason Michiru is one of my fav moon ladies. And thank you so much lionel for coming on a cold ass beach adventure with me and making me this BEAUTIFUL FUCKING VIOLIN HOLY SHIT

The rolls on my sleeve, gloves and hips are made with patience and batting. The skirt, fuku, glove rolls and bows are all made of matte satin.

WOW I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT MINDFANG/DOLOROSA LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW. Poor dolorosa after loosing everything in her life that mattered to her and it mattered SO FUCKING MUCH meets this awful self centered 8ad 8itch who don't believe in shit and their bond was just SO BEAUTIFUL I feel like they found something to believe in, in each other????? I'm embarrassed talking about this don't look at me also good lord lauren is the most perfect dolorosa kill me now I can't live in this world any more

WEEPS I finally finished my mindfang!!! Originally I was goig to make it out of Vinyl but then I realized LOL OTAKON HEAT I WOULD LITERALLY DIE so I made it out of a nice thick cotton twill instead. I took a lot of liberties with the design because….to be honest I think the design is pretty ugly. So instead of a long shapeless coat I have a 5 1/2 circle skirt with a horsehair hem, tattered tool and organza in the back, a faux corset (it’s gommeted but I didn’t bone it whoops lazy), and a top with princess seams and an invisible zipper up the middle. I’m not wearing my gloves in these pictures but they’re made out of the same material as the armor! Except for the hat & the armor the cording is hand sewed on the top, corset and skirt (which I picked cause I thought it looked really piratey?? IDK) The shoes were $20 off of ebay then I painted them red with leather paint! Until I shoves my horns into my hat I was really proud of how nice they looked AND NOW THEY LOOK LIKE LUMPY PIECES OF GARBAGE OTL they got kinds banged up when I put them throguh the holes in the hat, but whatever she’s a pirate you don’t know what she’s been through battle damage man. My wig is my old Vriska wig wefted together with another super duper long black curly wig, since I wanted MORE VOLUME. Anyway, overall I’m pretty happy with it! I wish I had boned my corset in retrospect but besides that wee!!

So my friend Lada was making Juri for fanime and we'd talked before about me being her Shiori BUT fanime is after finals so I didn't think I'd have time to finish the costume, but Jessie let me borrow hers!! I literally could not have done this without Lada and Jessie, since it was jessie's costume and Lada got me the wig and styled it I am a baby thank you guys so much for taking care of me ;o;

ANYWAY I LOVE SHIORI SO MUCH IT HURTS but she's so terrible whyyyyyyy do I have all these feeeeeelingsssss. I feel like I've been Juri my entire life it was nice to cosplay Shiori and be the one not getting screwed over for once. Utena is seriously one of my all time favorite series and I can't wait to cosplay EVERY BITCH from it. Also lol taking beautiful yuri pictures with Lada as one of the only canon straight characters in Utena lololololl

Made by Jessie/AnimeAngel!! I wore this costume to fanime which is right before finals in shool so I didn't wanna push myself to make too many costumes, so Jessie was kind enough to let me borrow her uniform! I'm going to make my own though cause I wanna be Utenas with her. GONNA RUB SLEEVES

Wig was styled by Lada/Etaru!!! I picked out the wig then she bought it and styled it because SHE IS A DARLING ;o;

AHHHHH so happy to finally do Selina!!! She's one of my absolute favorite comic book gals, I've basically wanted to be her since I was a little girl. My costume is based on the Kotobukiya Bishojou statue! Made my body suit out of 4 way stretch vinyl, made my belt, my gloves, painted and sharpened nails to put on my gloves to look more cat like, made my hood which I topstiched and my boots, and bought a pair of goggles which I added model magic to to create the little cat ears! I'm so happy with how this entire costume turned out, and that I finally made catwoman! Now that I have the body suit I'm definitely going to do more versions of her~

I'm really proud of how this costume came out, even though it was super simple I was really happy to be luffy with my wonderful friends ヽ(；▽；)ノ getting to cosplay with my beautiful Nakama was the best!!! Amanda made me my treasure map armlet, and mariel let me borrow her straw hat!!

Costume is just a cotton twill vest, self lined. Made button holes, it was very scary but it turned out okay!! bought red pants, took them in and attached fur~

When Night Falls - Batwoman

Trying to look like a bad ass is hard god damn Kate

WOW was this costume ever an undertaking!! You can't tell here (you'll be able to in other pictures!) but my cape is 12 yards of fabric!!! It has 5 points and 4 arches, and drags on the ground slightly, since I wanted to stay as close to the New design as possible! My mask is Leather, made by ravenwood masks borrowed from my darling Cassi! my gloves are pleather on the top and spandex on the bottom, which I sewed seams into to look more like her gloves. My belt/pouches are all made out of pleather as are the base of my gauntlets, while the belt buckle and blades on my arms are made from styrene. My boots started out black and I painted them with leather paint, my leggings and top I made myself. This is definitely one of the hardest costumes I've made in a while, I'm super generally pretty happy with how it turned out considering it was my first time doing something like this. I'd like to remake the gloves in the future but besides that everything worked out really well!!

All the pain and strife of making this costume was totally worth it because DANG DO I LOVE BATWOMAN Kate Kane is a total mess but I adore her and find her very inspiring. Despite her being kind of an emotional wreck most of the time she always pulls her shit together to help people and fight bullshit cults and SHE SOLIDERS ON

I had such a fun time shooting this with all my wonderful friends!! ;u; we basically just got to hang out in candy costumes and eat ice cream and buy candy??? sooooo it was a perfect day pretty much. Thank you so much Steph for letting me borrow your wig, and Judy for the wonderful shoot!!! ❤ ❤

Amazing wig & lolli made/styled by Steph/Kisa cosplay!! The rest of the costume was made by me! The thigh highs were striped jersey with a band of elastic at the top to keep it secure, The skirt was a knife pleat skirt made from matte satin, and the red band was made from jersey. The yellow shirt was also jersey, with raglan sleeves, heat n bonded symbol. The scarf was made out of fleece with felled seams, the arm warmers were also made from jersey.

Plug Suit Mari - Neon Genesis Evangelion

Eva is without question of my absolute favorite things but have a lot of mixed feelings about 3.0 as of right now (it may change when I see 4.0, who knows), and quite frankly hate Mari??? Besides being good fodder for lesbian porn with Asuka she hasn't really shown me that she matters at all in any way and I just?????????? MA IIR??I????? I basically made this costume because my boyfriend absolutely loves Mari (???????????????????????????????????????????????) and I wanted to be plug suit babes with Skye and Mariel. I struggle a lot with costumes that aren't garments you can make in a "proper" way? Which is a major part of the reason I had put off trying to make a plug suit for so long. I can't say I'm very pleased with my results but considering it was my first plug suit I don't think it was terrible. Honestly until I had to start sharpieing and gluing the details on I was pretty happy with the body suit?? Which Ju$tin helped me pattern. Despite not really caring for mari I'm glad she was the first plug suit that I made, because to be perfectly honest if this had been an Asuka costume I would have been beside myself upset with how it turned out. I learned a lot from the experience which hopefully I'll be able to put towards future Asuka costumes!!!!!!

Regardless of how stressed I was by actually making the costume I had a wonderful time wearing it with my sweet plug suit honey bunnies!!! I'm also completely in love with this photo, thank you so much Anna!!!

WOW I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT MINDFANG/DOLOROSA LIKE YOU DON'T KNOW. Poor dolorosa after loosing everything in her life that mattered to her and it mattered SO FUCKING MUCH meets this awful self centered 8ad 8itch who don't believe in shit and their bond was just SO BEAUTIFUL I feel like they found something to believe in, in each other????? I'm embarrassed talking about this don't look at me also good lord lauren is the most perfect dolorosa kill me now I can't live in this world any more

WEEPS I finally finished my mindfang!!! Originally I was going to make it out of Vinyl but then I realized LOL OTAKON HEAT I WOULD LITERALLY DIE so I made it out of a nice thick cotton twill instead. I took a lot of liberties with the design because….to be honest I think the design is pretty ugly. So instead of a long shapeless coat I have a 5 1/2 circle skirt with a horsehair hem, tattered tool and organza in the back, a faux corset (it’s grommeted but I didn’t bone it whoops lazy), and a top with princess seams and an invisible zipper up the middle. I’m not wearing my gloves in these pictures but they’re made out of the same material as the armor! Except for the hat & the armor the cording is hand sewed on the top, corset and skirt (which I picked cause I thought it looked really piratey?? IDK) The shoes were $20 off of ebay then I painted them red with leather paint! Until I shoves my horns into my hat I was really proud of how nice they looked AND NOW THEY LOOK LIKE LUMPY PIECES OF GARBAGE OTL they got kinds banged up when I put them through the holes in the hat, but whatever she’s a pirate you don’t know what she’s been through battle damage man. My wig is my old Vriska wig wefted together with another super duper long black curly wig, since I wanted MORE VOLUME. Anyway, overall I’m pretty happy with it! I wish I had boned my corset in retrospect but besides that wee!!

Jelly Girls - No More Heroes

(((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) eeeeeei these costumes were so much fun to wear with my lovely ladies Kara and Giana!!!!

Wow I made a lot of bows!! had a red pair of heels from my other costumes, made socks out of wet look spandex, made and attached bows. Made underwear out of spandex & hand sewed on the lace, took a bra, cut it to the right shape and covered it by hand in spandex, then hand sewed on lace. Made hair bows and sewed on little combs, interfaced some red spandex and hand sewed on lace for my head piece. The cape was the hardest part I think! I had to kind of drape it on myself - it's this really weird non-stretch fabric that kinda looks like wet look (which is why I used it) and lined it in organza, then hand sewed on the black lace all around! There was a lot of hand sewing of lace that went into this costume, basically.

I'm a big no more heroes fan, and I want to make Holly Summers SO BAD but I'm still trying to figure out DAT LEG so in the mean time ironic magical girls 8D

Gosh I adore this photo!! totally worth jumping in the water for~ eva is without question of my absolute favorite things but have a lot of mixed feelings about 3.0 as of right now (it may change when I see 4.0, who knows), and quite frankly hate Mari??? Besides being good fodder for lesbian porn with Asuka she hasn't really shown me that she matters at all in any way and I just?????????? MA IIR??I?????

I basically made this costume because my boyfriend absolutely loves Mari (???????????????????????????????????????????????) and I wanted to be plug suit babes with Skye and Mariel. I struggle a lot with costumes that aren't garments you can make in a "proper" way? Which is a major part of the reason I had put off trying to make a plug suit for so long. I can't say I'm very pleased with my results but considering it was my first plug suit I don't think it was terrible. Honestly until I had to start sharpieing and gluing the details on I was pretty happy with the body suit?? Which Ju$tin helped me pattern. Despite not really caring for mari I'm glad she was the first plug suit that I made, because to be perfectly honest if this had been an Asuka costume I would have been beside myself upset with how it turned out. I learned a lot from the experience which hopefully I'll be able to put towards future Asuka costumes!!!!!! If you remember Disney's Little Mermaid maybe you also remember Ursala when she got hot to seduce the prince? :3 I've always loved Disney villains more than Disney princesses, and Vanessa is one of my favorites design wise!!! Plus Amanda had a perfect Ariel costume she'd never gotten to shoot so I figured we could have a mermaid date and wear these together!!!

My costume is an A line skirt and a boned bodice. The wig is from fantasy sheep recurled using the hot water method.

Girl's Night Out - Panty and Stocking

I had SUCH A BLAST wearing this with Natalie and shooting with James!! They're both perfect people and just having an excuse to chill with them for a couple hours was wonderful. Natalie is super flawless as Stocking, so I hope I was up to her standards, she looked amazing!!!! Can't wait to wear these with her again!!! *(*´∀｀*)☆

After a lot of labor and feathers I'm super happy with how this dress turned out! I really wanted to make it three separate tiers of skirt like in the anime, and I DID which took a lot more fabric than I originally thought and I almost felt like I was making a Madoka Skirt haha. Once I made the dress which was a basic princess seam bodice with boning and interfacing the bottom two tier of skirt were made detachable, and I glued 3 different kinds of feathers to the skirts and dress in layers using modge podge! My shoes are just heels that I leather painted and glossed white, the boa was a lucky find - I really wanted to get an off white boa since the dress itself was supposed to be white! My wig is my regular Panty wig that I hand sewed Velcro to, then glued a Styrofoam ball to and wrapped the hair around, keeping it in place with bobby pins, that way I wouldn't need to buy a new panty wig!!

I got home at 9:30 with my friends when we were about to have a sewing party at my house, I saw the update and shrieked “I’M GOING TO MAKE THIS RIGHT NOW”. My lovely friend Gianna who’s a photographer jokingly said “if you finish it tonight i’ll shoot you in the morning!” and then shit got real.

I worked on the dress from 10:00pm to 5:30am, plus one extra daylight savings hour, so the costume took me 8 1/2 hours to make, I didn’t actually make it that quickly!! The dress is a princess seam bodice, which I serged and didn’t line to save time, and two circle skirts with horse hair hems and two layers of black gathered organza between them to give the skirt more lift. I happened to have green fabric for the bow tie, green fabric for the leggings, horse hair, black organza, and black cotton sateen laying around, which I used for the costume. I had a bunch of buttons which I spray painted gold, and a black belt from my Mom Lalonde costume, and the belt buckel was simply made with craft foam. I previously cosplayed Porrim so I already had her horns, piercings, make up and wig!! And that’s how this costume got made so fast!!!

So my friend Lada was making Juri for fanime and we'd talked before about me being her Shiori BUT fanime is after finals so I didn't think I'd have time to finish the costume, but Jessie let me borrow hers!! I literally could not have done this without Lada and Jessie, since it was jessie's costume and Lada got me the wig and styled it I am a baby thank you guys so much for taking care of me ;o;

ANYWAY I LOVE SHIORI SO MUCH IT HURTS but she's so terrible whyyyyyyy do I have all these feeeeeelingsssss. I feel like I've been Juri my entire life it was nice to cosplay Shiori and be the one not getting screwed over for once. Utena is seriously one of my all time favorite series and I can't wait to cosplay EVERY BITCH from it. Also lol taking beautiful yuri pictures with Lada as one of the only canon straight characters in Utena lololololl

Made by Jessie/AnimeAngel!! I wore this costume to fanime which is right before finals in shool so I didn't wanna push myself to make too many costumes, so Jessie was kind enough to let me borrow her uniform! I'm going to make my own though cause I wanna be Utenas with her. GONNA RUB SLEEVES

Wig was styled by Lada/Etaru!!! I picked out the wig then she bought it and styled it because SHE IS A DARLING ;o;

Eva swim suits!!!! based on these adorable figures! I had such a blast wearing these with my darlings Skye & Mariel!! I just wish it had been warmer out (;*△*; )

This was.....really not fun to make fucking swimsuits man. The bulk of the costume is made out of spandex, and the ta and orange bits are pleather, which was all hand sewed on the swim suit while it was on me because of the stretch material! And thank you so much Jason for saving the day!!! My head gear and little orange things got crushed on the way to California and Jason super hero'd me some new ones AND THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL

AHHHHH!!! I shot Catherine again with my friend Lauren (who is the Katherine I originally made my costume to go with!!) at AnimeNEXT2012 and our lovely photographer Tess is finally able to process pictures I'm so excited to see this costume again!!!! This shoot was so much fun because we actually just went to a bar and got drinks and took pictures and it was perfecttttttt

I had been working on Catherine since NYCC2011 which is when I was originally going to wear her, but that didn't end up happening so I post poned her until katsu. I was really gung ho about making this costume when I first started, spent AGES looking for the perfect lace (which I found! it has hearts on it!) and getting off white fabric for my skirt and top, and white fabric for the bra, and lace, and just put a lot of time into it. Added some model magic to my heel to make it thicker, and painted the shoes white and tan (they were originally blue), got sheer white stockings & seam ripped off the original lace and replaced it with the heart lace, and FUCK THAT WIG. I struggled with it a lot but in the end I'm really happy with how it turned out. I got a little WAH MY WIG IS THE WRONG COLOR but then realized they kind of draw her hair different colors depending on the image.

The top was a pain in the ass, and it's boned in the places boning shows through on her figure (back seams, and front seams). I sort of phoned in the boob cups since at that point I'd been struggling with the stupid thing for half a day (and working on the costume since NYCC) and I was just DONE, but in the end I don't think it looked too bad. The Bra was a super mega push up bra that I covered in pure white spandex and hand sewed lace onto~ I also replaced the straps on the bra with appropriate lace.

Anyway, FUCK THIS COSTUME.

AHHHHH so happy to finally do Selina!!! She's one of my absolute favorite comic book gals, I've basically wanted to be her since I was a little girl.

My costume is based on the Kotobukiya Bishojou statue! Made my body suit out of 4 way stretch vinyl, made my belt, my gloves, painted and sharpened nails to put on my gloves to look more cat like, made my hood which I topstiched and my boots, and bought a pair of goggles which I added model magic to to create the little cat ears! I'm so happy with how this entire costume turned out, and that I finally made catwoman! Now that I have the body suit I'm definitely going to do more versions of her~

Friends Forever - Homestuck

Wow this is probably one of the most emotional pictures I've ever been a part of. I have a lot of alpha kid feelings in general, but some of my best friends and I cosplay them together so they really mean a lot to me. We did the shoot right before our Jane left for Japan for a year so we were all really full of feelings. I'm so happy to have this picture to remember the past year by <33 thank you so much guys for being so wonderful and Tania for being a princess and taking such fabulous photos of us!

I literally could not have gotten into this dress or had such beautiful photos taken of me without the help of double Nicoles - thank you guys so so much!! ;3; you guys are angels. This dress is 6 yards of lace, 3 yards of chiffon, and 5 yards of black satin, 3 yards of satin bias tape. I'm not 100% happy with how it turned out, but for it being my first time doing a backless gown I don't think it came out too bad!! It took me about 3 1/2 hours to get dressed in the end even with help sobbsss. Thank you so much Carroll for taking such gorgeous pictures of me, and our group!! You are 5ever the bes ;o;

Catwoman - DC Comics

AHHHHH so happy to finally do Selina!!! She's one of my absolute favorite comic book gals, I've basically wanted to be her since I was a little girl. My costume is based on the Kotobukiya Bishojou statue! Made my body suit out of 4 way stretch vinyl, made my belt, my gloves, painted and sharpened nails to put on my gloves to look more cat like, made my hood which I topstiched and my boots, and bought a pair of goggles which I added model magic to to create the little cat ears! I'm so happy with how this entire costume turned out, and that I finally made catwoman! Now that I have the body suit I'm definitely going to do more versions of her~

Silk Specture - Watchmen

If you know me at all you know that I live and breathe Watchmen like a complete maniac, so I'm really really happy I was able to make/wear another Watchmen costume!!!! I love Laurie, despite how annoying she is lmao.

The under shirt is made from wet look spandex and lined in lack spandex, the yellow slip is chiffon with bridal buttons up the back. The belt is satin covered in chiffon, the earrings are made out of styrene and the necklace is made out of sculpy!!

Working with chiffon is sort of a nightmare.

Scarlet Witch - Avengers

My first Scarlet Witch costume!! (●´∀｀●) I've wanted to cosplay Wanda for a really long time, I'm so glad I finally had an opportunity to!! Magneto is my absolute favorite X-Men character but since I can't cosplay Magneto well I did Wanda instead!! Plus I'm a big fan of her and Quicksilver in ultimates holllaaaahhhhh

My costume is based on the Bishojou Shunya version, but with the Mark Brooks Cape because wtf is even happening in the figure??? it's just like 700 feet of vinyl I don't understand how to make that it doesn't even look like fabric any more it just looks like magic. My boots are boot covers, I made the gloves myself, and the leggings and pink top. The Bunny suit is 4 layers of fabric with a vinyl facing and 38 piece of boning and 4 steel stays. The cape is 5 yards of red velvet~
