I Can't Stand the Moon

My first experience with wolfman.
It's challenging and took much time to transform a normal guy into this famous monster.
Besides drawing some fangs, putting ripped shirt, looking at a lot of images of hairy men to learn the pattern of hair before using fur brushes, I also watched movie The Wolfman [link] for inspiration.

Cat on a Haunted Roof

In my country Thailand, we have been told that dead people will be woken up if black jump over their coffin.
There used to be a coffin lying for 5 years in the first floor of the two-story building that I was living inside.
The body in the coffin was the owner of the building who died from a car accident.
I still don't know the reason why his family kept him there too long.
I guess they waited for auspicious time and proper cemetery or something.
The worse thing is that I had to live alone in the building all the time.
Though I love cats, but believe me I had NEVER let any black come near the building until the coffin was removed!

The origin is just an idea to cope with many deviants who kept asking me for points since I won 5,000 points from Plan Gone Wrong Contest last year. Mobile in Heaven

As I've been told, old cats will go find their secret places to lay themselves down when their last day has come and will never come back. They will just disappear without a trace or saying goodbye no matter how strong the bond between you and them are. My dearest cat Mobile did the same thing to me. He has gone for 2 months now. I've been missing him so much. So, I did this artwork to dedicate to him. I hope he rests in peace and looking at me from heaven above.

A Party For Fluke

Originally, this was a personal work I made as a remembrance of my friend's sad-eyed english cocker dog. But to submit it in my own gallery, I decided to change the dog to make the whole work looks a bit more delightful. After searching for a dog image throughout DA stock and Google, I finally chose Fluke, an adorable bulldog [descendant of England's BULLDOG OF THE YEAR] from www.bigbonebulldog.com, a website of a bulldog farm in Thailand for anyone who's looking for good bulldogs to be family's pet. And yes, among all breeds of dog, I like bulldogs most because they look funny, friendly and they can play skateboard like this too ! [link] [link] WOW!

I had a clear concept and name in my mind before start working on my entry for the previous Fotolia contest. [link] This time is harder because the contest rule is clearer that only stock images from Fotolia / StockProject [and my own images which I don't have] can be used. I had to look all over the images there first to get an idea. And everything of this work started from the crane.

Not everybody can have a volleyball to talk to when being alone among the ocean. Whatever you have, just remember the precious Tom Hanks quote that says " I gotta keep breathing because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring? "

This is the first experience I deal with a work involving with water. I thought it might be difficult, but I finally had fun with the wave and splash. The atmosphere, the distance of objects and the lighting are much harder and are something so much to learn and cope with. But what I found it's the most important part is the mixing between cat head and cat body which come from two different cats with different size & gesture. The whole work will totally go wrong if the cat doesn't look right. Plenty of time and effort were spent for this work which is the hardest piece I have ever faced with.

Firstly, I intended to make this piece as a fast job before my next digital drawing. But it finally took me much longer than I thought. The hardest part was to adjust angle of the horn to make it look right on forehead of the white horse. However, I hope you guys like it. All comments and critiques are very welcome.

Screaming Lord Byron

Airavata is a mythological white elephant who carries the Hindu god Indra. It is also called 'Ardha-Matanga', meaning "elephant of the clouds"; 'Naga-malla', meaning "the fighting elephant"; and 'Arkasodara', meaning "brother of the sun". Airavata has four tusks and seven trunks and is spotless white. ( from Wikipedia )
In Thailand, Airavata is called Erawan (which has 3 heads). We have a giant statue of Erawan near Bangkok. (Type Erawan on Google to see how big and amazing the statue is.) I saw the statue and thought to myself "How interesting would it be if I put him back to mythological life by manipulating him with a heavenly background?" And here is the outcome.

I was informed later that this is a mouse not a rat. To see the difference between rat and mouse, I searched for their images on google and what I found for mouse images are only computer's mouses and Micky mouse...LOL..
