As I first started to paint the other picture

I was first torn apart to illustrate either a typical allday-scene or something epic. So I headed for both.

Oh, and I have actually something more to say about this picture than the usual stuff.

The author gave me a good guideline with the song "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down for that picture, and it worked well together with the song "Fragile" by Sting, both for the power summoning a storm and for the sensuality of the act of working a spell.
If I imagine a sorcerer casting a spell I imagine it -oh by all mights I don´t know how I can explain this - as an act of setting free an immense amount of power, something raw, angry, primal. I imagine it also at the same time as a very sensual act also, and depends on the spell something painful too.
Let´s say it short, I see parallels between doing a spell and bed activities. (STOP laughing.)

Anyway, as for the painting technique - I used this time mostly standard PS brushes, I was heading for a more traditional feeling. It took me around 60 hours to complete.
