I drew some Links, I just wanted to see if I can draw them in my style, or whatever is my style, but still make them look consistent and like themselves.

I always have trouble with consistency, I just don't know how could I train it so that my work would look like it's done by me.

I cheated a bit, and fashioned his outfit after the "Waltz with Vaati" picture. At one point I wanted to make a sheet of his design since I was so happy to hear that people were interested in cosplaying him and I was curious how would his design even work in real life. Instead, I made him part of this series.

It's just silly fan ideas I'm playing that I just made up while uploading, but why not! I made Zelda a northern warrior princess with a sword resembling the wind waker, along with her standard light bow and arrows. Therefore she's sort of like northern light, standing against the darkness alone. Vaati is the wind and the shadow, whatever his intention might be, but what kind of hero will become of Link, who wanders into the scene at some point?

My part for #zelda-exchange. One of the prompts was interpretation of Sheikah tragedy. For those who don't know, sheikah is a race in Zelda series and not much is told about it except that they were servants of Royal Family and they were wiped off completely at some point in Hyrule history. I posted one sheikah doodle earlier this month but wasn't happy with it and wanted to make something more finished. I watched some video about actual japanese ninja house with all kinds of traps and secret rooms and it inspired me, as well as the shadow temple in OoT, which is also called House of the Dead.

The Legend of Zelda 25 years

This is a bit early after all, but I wanted to clear my desk so I can focus on schoolwork again.

The Legend of Zelda series has its 25th anniversary this month, on February 21st. Being my most favorite game series and long time fandom, I felt like trying out a large group picture for once. I used to draw more group pictures (from zelda and smash bros and mario mostly) when I was teen and they were kind of bad, so, I guess this would be something I would've wanted to be able to draw :3

I've counted the characters/things couple of times in this picture, and I hope it's still 25! My goal was to draw something from each part of the series, except that first two games are not so clearly presented here.
Dark Link is the one in the upper corner if anyone wonders.

Funny enough, I almost slacked off on Triforce and made ~muhvu edit it for me, which makes me all like... [link]

I wanted to try making a tribute to my favourite game. I'm in terrible Zelda mode right now, I want to play OoT or MM so badly ;; Normally I don't really like compositions like this, but it was just a matter of whether I can do it well or not. I'm rather satisfied, I guess it was worth sacrificing sleep and tears for.

Watercolors on A3 paper, took me about 3 days 8D

Many thanks to ~muhvu as well since he was kind enough to play with my crashing photoshop and stupid scanner.

Also as ~Mariolord07 first pointed out, it appears I posted this on Ocarina of Time's 12th anniversary! This is just too perfect. It was released exactly 12 years ago, November 23rd in US. Cheers, OoT!

Recently I started replaying TP and it's very much enjoyable.
Zelda is pretty and Midna is hot so I just have to draw them every now and then <:

edit/ The problem with this work was by default that I chose quite difficult color scenes to begin with, I feel rather silly for not noticing it before I'd already painted the characters ;__; so yeah, I repainted background two times, I had hard time picking colors that would bring any kind of harmony for this.

This is my card/b-day pictah for ~dodongo-fin, she gave me some options for what she'd like, and Wind Waker was one of those. I know she likes Makar a lot, and well, she asked for something cute though, but I hope this'll do.

Haven't used markers in a while, but it turned out okay.

Decided it's fine this way so I most likely don't bother to change it...
ToonLink is holding sword with wrong hand, but that probably was because of the composition, or then I just was too absorbed, I tend to forget which one's right and which one's left anyway :'D

...I had to draw pwetty Link to feed my lately_really_retarded zelda fangirlyness. But....he looks hunchbacked and my intention was to make proper bg with some other creatures or other details and as shown in the pic I did none of that :'D
(Actually this was supposed to be boss battle pic yet again, with volvagia or that big piranhaplant from tp. Addsshhhff. )

Ngh I really got bored with the bg and I have an itch that this will look like one shitty black hole on darker screens.

Anyway turned out as nice photoshop experiment, yet I have this echoing voice in my head telling I could work with this so much more. I have bad tendecy to leave sketchiness in everything, usually not even in good way ;; but I like this style, I want to improve my digital coloring.

Ummnumnum ...In smaller pic he looks like little monkey so..

I have to admit this would've propably been either horrible traditional pic or then definately too plain digital pic unless Muchu would've not colored most of the pic. I basically just did the inking and sketching and base colors, but he went through all the trouble to make decent shadows and color adjusting. I owe him...
And I drew him unicorns in exchange. SOUND LIKE DEAL NO?

Anything lost woods is always cool, and lost woods scenes on TP were nice too. But you know, those creepy wooden zombies made me crap my pants HOLY MOTHERSHIT WHATTT they were scary and I ended up running away until I made huge discovery and realized they just keep coming on and on.
First I drew them without reference and they turned out looking like nothing they should and I had to take peek on ref pic to make them bit less retarded looking. Color had great part in designing them either retarded or really, really retarded.

Dogs are so easy to draw and midna is so furry=I'm cheap.

Before some zeldatards start attacking me about design differences, let me explain...I wanted to draw especially something OoT related since it's gazillion times better than TP, thus Link's design is mostly OoT based BUT the scenery however is all TP bossbattle. Whyy? Because well, props to TP, last bossbattle was awesome and well, I prefer Ganondorf with beard and funky hair-do. His clothes again are more like WW since I didn't bother to seek reference for TP Ganon haha.

I was intending to put Zelda on Ganons or Links back but was too lazy to.
Ha and in your face, no Midna, but NAVI!
