Mixed media sculpture:
The upper body is made out of very light modeling clay, the cloth is hardened with super glue (if you ever do this, open the window and DON'T inhale the vapors). There's a metal tube inside the cloth holding the whole thing in the air. The chain is sustained by a metal wire and so is the piece of cloth that's floating.
The sculpture is about 50cm high.

my first sculpture, done in high-school
made out of porcelain with impurities (plaster)
it was the plaster that melted and gave the bizarre texture on the surface

it represents the initial creative scream, the coming to life of the artist (my first sculpture was my self-portrait as a child)

the story behind it is quite interesting - I started with the sculpture of a child in a different position, but that one exploded when I put it into the oven to dry out (bad ventilation) and then I created this one which is much more symbolic. even though the first had more details this one is far better in depicting my idea.

The wanderer is a strange creature. Molded by the gods in the shape and white purity of an angel, it never really accomplished the function it was meant for. Incapable of love, compassion or any form of empathy, it was eventually banished to the places of the demons. But even there, it could not fit and stood apart from everything, focused inward, flawed in every possible way, defying even the probability of its own existence. While angels and demons were created with intense and opposite characteristics, the wanderer appears to be doing nothing, except to exist, a constant reminder of pointlessness in a pointless Universe, an unanswered question in a world full of answers… In time, the white garments and wings had covered in dust and it was only then that its true function was revealed to the gods. The wanderer is the engine of entropy, the slow destroyer, gradually transforming every pattern of order back to original dust, a frightening proof of an implacable Universe.

Quantum physics in its current form implies that there is a certain randomness in nature... however there are newer theories that eliminate that randomness.
This is one extreme...
The other would be the uncertainty in our lives... the feelings, doubts, questions.

a moment... still,
life is transparent
and you could see
right through,
up to its end
and moments were connected,
perceived life as a whole,
its raw immensity
and no escape at all
you see your mother hold you
she tries in desperation
to calm this little scream
it's her moment of bliss
but you? you've realized
that no one could protect you
and no touch on your head
no soothing breast to feed you
no sweet words can be said
you're born and from that instant
decay's installed
you're dead...
your tiny spirit snaps
and people hear you screaming
a baby's scream
for them
but from within
you feel it
while everything goes sore
it rises and emerges
the most frightening roar

life is a continuous tension between one and the other
one can live by softening both or by testing the limits of the brain-fiber system
if one pushes the body to the extreme, the risk of loosing balance increases, leading to breakdown... or to a different (higher? distorted?) level of perception

- if you're too tense, you should rest
- if your muscles start to look like that, you should probably see a doctor
- if your head hurts, you should check when was the last time you slept... if you don't remember it means it was a long time ago
- if you have a great idea and you feel creative... then TO HELL WITH SLEEPING (this last part might change in a few years if I'm still around to change it)
