I have recently created my first Princess Diana repaint and this time I'm very pleased and excited to share my second Princess Diana repaint. Her wedding has got to be one of the most iconic moments in Royal history and it is for that reason that I created this doll - again out of a Franklin Mint Princess Diana doll.

This celebrity doll repaint was inspired by Vivien Leigh's much acclaimed portrayal as Scarlett O'hara from the now timeless classic, "Gone With The Wind", particularly as she looked in her famous portrait in the film wearing a magnificent blue dress.

I used a 16-inch Scarlett O'hara doll here produced by Robert Tonner Doll company. I completely removed factory facial painting and hand painted it to more faithfully replicate Vivien Leigh as Scarlett from that particular scene I had to pay careful attention to have the doll's expression reflect the same expression as Scarlett from the portrait.

The doll's hair has been completely restyled.

Being a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy film, I anticipated with much excitement Tonner Company's release of their LOTR line of dolls based from the films.

This sculpt in my opinion is absolutely spot on, but sadly the factory paint failed to bring out Cate Blanchett's strongly distinct features. Scale and proportion were major issues, particularly the eyes and lips.

Since her makeup was very minimal, it was a little tricky as well.

My utlimate favorite male superhero. I really applaud the workmanship that Hot Toys put into this miniature replica of Christopher Reeve. This custom paint job only involves partial repaint to enhance the features and make minor adjustments. I thought the original version's eyes were slightly looking up so I corrected that. Also added 3D shading to his facial features. Lastly, I gave his spit curl some minor adjustment.

You may recall that I have created a repaint of Orlando as Will Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean. This latest one, however, is of Orlando Bloom, the actor, and not as a movie character.

I used a 17-inch Will Turner produced by Robert Tonner Doll company. As is usually the case with mass produced dolls depicting celebrities, the sculpt is spot on but the doll suffers in the facial paint department, which is as crucial a process in capturing likeness.

So, the first order of business was to completely remove factory facial painting. I then hand painted it to bring the likeness of actor Orlando Bloom to life, paying careful attention to lifelike facial expression.

The hair underwent extensive and meticulous restyling. First, I cut the hair to a shorter length. Then I heat permed the hair to give it the needed wave. Finally, I layered the hair by running the scissors along the length of the hair. This also reduces the hair's volume and thickness down to proper scale. Last, I hand painted delicate lines of hair along the hairline for more accuracy and realism. Sideburns were more accurately hand repainted as well.

Being a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy film, I anticipated with much excitement Tonner Company's release of their LOTR line of dolls based from the films.

This sculpt in my opinion is absolutely spot on, but sadly the factory paint failed to bring out Cate Blanchett's strong features. Scale and proportion were major issues, particularly the eyes and lips.

Since her makeup was very minimal, it was a little tricky as well.

This celebrity doll repaint was inspired by Vivien Leigh's much acclaimed portrayal as Scarlett O'hara from the now timeless classic, "Gone With The Wind", particularly as she looked in her famous portrait in the film wearing a magnificent blue dress.

I used a 16-inch Scarlett O'hara doll here produced by Robert Tonner Doll company. I completely removed factory facial painting and hand painted it to more faithfully replicate Vivien Leigh as Scarlett from that particular scene I had to pay careful attention to have the doll's expression reflect the same expression as Scarlett from the portrait.

The doll's hair has been completely restyled.

As a huge fan of Farrah, I just had to take the doll and transform it into a faithful replica of the Charlie's Angels star.

As Farrah's hair was so iconic, extensive hair styling was the first order of business. Next was the delicate task of painting in her facial features. Since the sculpt depicts a big full smile, hand painting and shading each tooth was a painstaking process that had to be the exact scale and proportion.

Lindsay Wagner has been my all-time idol since I was 14 years old. I remember being captivated by her beauty when I first saw her on tv in 1976 playing the Bionic Woman Jaime Sommers. Back then I was just barely learning how to draw faces - and upon seeing Lindsay's exquisite features, she became a constant subject of my portraiture endeavors. And seeing her in person for the first time in 2006 and presenting her with a portrait I had done of her was a truly surreal moment of my life.

Anyway, here's my little tribute to her in doll form. I used a 16-inch Mrs. Coulter doll from the Golden Compass Series produced by Tonner & Co. I thought the sculpt was just perfect for Lindsay's 3-d portrait.

I completely removed original factory paint and started with a blank canvas to replicate Ms. Wagner's features. Also, I had to partially reroot the doll's hair to give it fullness and to create a middle part. Then I cut and heat styled her hair just as Ms. Wagner looked in her 70s tv series.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the classic favorite "Breakfast at Tiffany's. As a special tribute, I am pleased to create a custom face up of Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly.

Full facial repaint and shading as well as extensive hair style make over to replicate the features of Ms. Hepburn as Holly as she appeared in the movie.

The inset photo on the bottom portion shows the mass produced version of the doll as it was originally released.

Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area and an even greater challenge of recreating a real person's likeness. Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

The new installment in the Twilight saga continues with a special wedding scene that I chose to recreate in this new custom doll.

Full facial repaint and shading as well as extensive hair style make over to replicate the features of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen particularly as he appeared in the wedding scene.

The inset photo on the bottom portion shows the mass produced version of the Edward as it was originally released.
