The frog and Victoria3 models were exported from Poser6 to Wavefront OBJ files.
The UV maps (colors) for the frogs were painted in Photoshop using these Poison Dart Frog

An idea I got from the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. They have a "Wild Reef" exhibit that's really, uh, wild!!

Well, I kinda used a bunch of stuff for this one.
Made with Poser, PoseRay and POV-Ray. Photoshop for the stingray and swimsuit patterns.
I also used POV-Ray IBL (Image Based Lighting) code [link] along with a main light to get a defined shadow. Thanks, Max, wow that's a lot of lights!! And I was only using the level 6 set

I also used Jon Buller's wonderful Penrose macros for the bottom of the pool, which you can get on the POV-Ray newgroups here ==> [link]
The random colours on the tiles are generated using this trick ==> [link] (works best if the image is all somewhat similar colours)

I have a little photo on top of my toilet that's kinda like this. I cut it out of a Vogue magazine ad a while back. Anyway, I always thought it was a funny little pic, so I decided to make my own. This was also inspired by 's shoe models/renders.
Legs and shoes from Poser, the toilet was modelled in Blender, the rest, in POV-Ray.

An idea I got at the zoo, watching the seals in their aquarium. I found it interesting the way they looked, half in and half out of the water.
This is Glamourous Jessi floating in a waterlogged superellipsoid. I know, the black and white checkered ground is so cliche but I thought it made a nice pattern in the water.

Blue Poison Pin-Up

I wanted to do a Pin-Up, but with an unusual side to it.

The Technical Stuff:
The texture is based on a blue Poison Dart frog, painted by me in Photoshop. I also did a boobie morph in Blender to get them more cone shaped. This was used in conjunction with some other breast morphs for Aiko.
I used 's PIBL (POV-Ray image based lighting).... verrrrrry cool stuff, thanks again Max.
Poser ==> PoseRay ==> POV-Ray ==> A little post work in Photoshop.

A Chinese dish modelled in Blender. Rendered in POV-Ray. You can map different materials for an object in POV-Ray using a grayscale image. This is what I did to get the gold material into the pattern. The pattern is from a book I picked up today called Chinese Patterns by Pepin Press - great book.

According to amphibian expert William Duellman, there are about 220 species of poison frogs. Most species are not toxic to animals and humans. More than 100 toxins have been identified in the skin secretions of poison dart frogs, especially Dendrobates and Phyllobates. Members of the genus Dendrobates (of which there are at least 44 known species) are also known as "poison dart" or "poison arrow" frogs. However, only frogs of the genus Phyllobates produce the extremely potent neurotoxin, batrachotoxin, and its derivatives. Even a very small amount of the batrachotoxin found in the skins of the Golden Poison Dart Frog and at least two other species of Phyllobates frogs - on the order of just 40 micrograms - can be fatal. For the Golden Poison Dart Frog, merely touching the frog's back with the tip of the tongue could be enough to transfer a lethal dose of poison (which is most readily absorbed via mucous membranes).

The Okapi is a dweller of the Central African rainforest. But this breed evolved a bit differently after moving Northward. They are very playful, and dumb as toast.

This is another variation, showing the process, somewhat. It's a 3D evolution from the cube I started with to the final form... Yeah, I know, I took the 3D Evolution idea too literally. The top 6 images were modeled in TopMod. Then I modified it in Blender before doing the bottom render. All renders are done with POV-Ray.

Sort of a ripoff on Louis Vuitton and maybe a little Chanel. Anyway, this box was made with designer accessories in mind. The fringe was an afterthought.
