Aria Cheylon who was weary from war, looked up from afar
to the sky in the east and beheld her first Christmas star;

Longing for Earth she finished her battle, the war had been won
so she took to her saddle. As she dashed away home, relieved to be done;
A feeling of emptiness loomed in her heart that she couldn't out run;
When all of a sudden, she realized what was the matter;
It was Christmas Eve and there was no Christmas clatter;

She was stranded on this planet without Christmas or care,
or even the hopes that St. Nicholas would visit her there:
As she nestled down snug, all tight in her bed wrap;
Kija's pet woggle was dancing near the floor mat.

Already disheveled from sleep her demeanor was scattered ;
The animal awoke her and her look was not something that flattered.

She straightened her hair when suddenly an idea arose;
she looked at her crystal glowing and threw on her clothes.
Away to a sandy spot on the cave floor she did fly;
Shoving her crystal pendant in the sand she held her head high;
Its light flahsed through the room like the sun in the sky.
As the sand swirled and glowed the crystal did toil;
Aria's mind imagined something that would glisten like foil.

To her enjoyment there came from the light's band;
a shining Christmas tree sculpture all made out of sand;
It's shape may have been crude but it didn't need a stand.
All it needed was some imagination and a little helping hand.

As she looked and admired her glistening sand tree with care;
Kija arrived only to look at it with a curious stare.
As he examined the tree he just couldn't understand;
What is this thing and why would it be her Christmas demand?
Aria just laughed and with a story she did tell;
The true meaning of Christmas as it began with a baby who did well.

As Aria told him the true meaning of Christmas, he acted a bit coy ;
but as she finished his heart soon swelled up with joy.
He dashed from the cave only to gaze up in the air;
and indeed he saw that the Christmas star was most fair.

As he gazed upon this star his heart filled with great light;
so much to the point that his feet would take flight.
He ran to tell of Christmas and this magnificent sight;
and the baby that started it all long long ago on a cold winter's night.

I ended up sitting next to a little boy who was really into spiderman, so we had an art jam session right there in the terminal. Drawing with kids is fun becuase they are really creative people. I had never drawn Venom before and being that I was in the terminal waiting for my flight, I didn't have reference. I was really surprised I got his head shape right. So here it is and I hope it gets you as pumped for the release of the movie on DVD as it did for me ]]>

This was created completely in photoshop with no help from a 3D rendering program.

so here is how I did it.... I took my logo put a thin black stroke on it did some bevel emboses of the certain color parts of the logo, and merged this layer with a blank layer. I transformed it with the perspective I wanted. I then duplicated the layer moved it slightly.... duplicated that layer moved it slightly.... so on until I had about 10 of these.... at this point I merged them all and started duplicating the merged layers, I just continued to light them all up and build and merge until I had something that looked like a huge stack of paper logos stacked on top of one another. then I merged all of these layers and ended up with one 3D logo looking layer made out of paper sheets. At this point I have a 3d image it just needs to be smoothed out, so I ran it through some filters, a couple little touchups here and there and tada! I havea 3d logo SO really its just hundreds of stacked layers, they create the shadows themselves because of the stroke. I hope that clears some stuff up as to how I did it, because its really simple, and it takes like maybe 5 minutes?
