My little brother got married yesterday (September 26th, 2010). The wedding song was Shiver, so I felt it was appropriate to name this picture of the bride after it, or at least some of the lyrics.

She was resplendent. Glorious. Very much in her comfort zone - she looked beautiful.

I did not get the opportunity to be the photographer for this event, and while that made me sad, I was fortunate enough to take a few shots after the ceremony, and I even forced them to re-enact their first kiss as man and wife.

I wish them nothing but the best. The most amazing part of the whole thing? I didn't cry! ]]> ..at your face when you're not awake.

This is my contest submission for *DraculeaRiccy's Seven Deadly Sins contest.

I chose Gluttony.

Derived from the Latin gluttire, meaning to gulp down or swallow, gluttony (Latin, gula) is the over-indulgence and over-consumption of anything to the point of waste.

This would also qualify for the lesser known Acedia </i>(Latin, acedia)</i>, apathetic listlessness; depression without joy. It is similar to melancholy, although acedia describes the behaviour, while melancholy suggests the emotion producing it.
