movement that i used is Art Noveau and i inspired a lot from Alphonse Mucha's artworks.. -he's genius!-

the goddess is holding a shoe like holding a baby means she really dear the shoe as a new precious thing for her, and she's been wondering what would she do to make the shoe looked more beautiful, as parents did when they saw their kid for the first time when they were born (kids).

i believe it's not only me who thought that soldiers are idiots... if they were so smart, why should they fought in a place like vietnam? aren't they stupid?

"i will finish what i have started" the soldiers are punished to write that words. why? well, afghanistan war was not over at 2003 but at the time, US commenced an attack to Iraq.

Batik Vans Finale

contemporary Batik in Vans Product
well, I always have this thought that everything shouldn't be remain as it is if we want to reach younger generation. Batik should not be always old, if some say Batik is young, then prove it, if someone said that Batik belongs only to Indonesia, prove it by develop it, don't just scream on people and accuse them for stealing before we really understand our history and culture.

I believe that the proof that Batik belongs to Indonesia is that we can utilize and develop it. Some may remain sacred, but some, can be contemporary.

maju terus Indonesia! don't just scream, prove it! don't just moan, do it! don't just speak, understand it!

Vans in Batik

My first design project in semester 4 and here's the product for the packaging project which is the main project, but I want to share with you guys about my idea of Batik in Vans.

Unfortunately, I couldn't manage to get Indonesian Batik which is THE BEST in the world.... well well, in Malaysia, Indonesian Batik is very expensive and very rare, i don't understand why Malay could claim Batik as its own culture if i even couldn't get the right one for my shoes.... well well.... (no offense but it's all only my own opinion)

Actually, the aim of this project is to appreciate Batik as an ancient culture of South East Asia, as for me i want to show people that Indonesian Batik is the best.... darn i couldn't get it....
