This is by far my favorite gown I've ever made (and also the dress-porn-iest). The base layer is a fine linen that was on crazy good sale, while the top is silk chiffon (unfortunately, not on sale, though some bits were scraps from previous projects). I also found a half yard remnant of this beauuutiful beaded lace, which I cut out and used as appliques for the front, back, and sleeves. All in all, I was very happy with how it all turned out, and it's incredibly comfortable and breathable, which is really nice for warm weather events.

And yes, I know Galadriel has golden hair, so if it makes you feel better, just think of this as a Celebrian costume ; )
