Star Wars - Smile

Hi there guys!
I know it's not much, but I managed to make a Star Wars fanart duh. Another Skywalker family one, actually :'D ahah the purists are so gonna get me this time.

This idea randomly came in my mind and I thought I'd draw it. Super simple, super fast, no background...yay!
I think I kinda wanted to make it look like they're taking a photo or something. So Padmé is basically pointing at the camera to show Luke what he should smile at :'D
Anakin, instead, is kinda disappointed and doubtful about the way Leia is looking at him haha. I'm sorry for drawing her pouting that way, but since she's the one who basically got more of Anakin's character out of the twins, and considering that in the actual story she definitely had some bad stuff going on with Vader, I thought that expression would fit! x)

As for the color, I tried hard to make something really bright compared to the stuff I did lately, but I'm not sure this is the effect I wanted to get haha!

Well, okay, nothing more to say, I hope you like it a bit even if it's really simple!

Star Wars - A Skywalker's Life

Well, uh, the title says pretty much everything, but this strip has more of a personal meaning to me haha. x)
I've had it in my brain for several months now and it's sole purpose is basically venting, but still...

You know that feeling you have when you would like to concentrate on yourself, on solving your problems, and other people just keep on asking you to do stuff for them, mostly work or things that only increase your stress and you basically have no choice but doing all of that they ask you because that's important stuff and it therefore it should come before anything else? YES.

And that's basically how Anakin feels in Episode III (and there's a line in the Matthew Stover's novelization that actually says that Anakin would like to be just left alone for a hour or two x) ), and the poor guy just can't catch a break.

Of course I decided to go humor about that but I really do feel like Anakin most of the time!
Another reason why he's my favorite character, haha. He's so stressed x)

I hope you like the... uh, let's call it "coloring style" x) I decided to go fast and rough because I didn't see any point in coloring this strip the way I usually do, not being any kind of set atmosphere or backgrounds overall I'm not disliking it that much, at least, I think it fits the mood, what do you think?

Now I gotta race to bed because it's very late and tomorrow academy and trains with snow delays wait for me. .__.

Star Wars Magazine Cover!

Hey there guys!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I'm bringing you this cover I did for the magazine of the Italian Star Wars fanclub, Yavin4 ([link]), Living Force Magazine. Specifically, it will be published on the 37th issue, coming out in January 2013. It's only in Italian though.

To cut a long story short, this was a super cool thing for me, as I was interviewed by a member of the club during my first... convention in my town in November, so this issue is going to feature this cover, and my interview!!

After the crew saw my Star Wars/Disney drawings (which I made WAY before Disney bought Lucasfilm) they asked me to draw something along that line. So I went with a Donald/Anakin fighting a Mickey/Obi-Wan in Episode III, on the Mustafar platform!

I barely made it to the deadline though, which was on December 23rd, as I couldn't work on it before since I was filled with assignments and exams @__@

Now I can't really write stuff anymore as it's past 2 AM, I'm still working on commissions and I'm absolutely dying...

Ahsoka climbed Artoo just to be taller than Ani for once, but he doesn't look impressed at all!

I had this idea in my head for a while, actually... it doesn't really make sense but I thought it'd look funny

Again, I used a brush pen for inking and Copic markers for coloring. The background is added with Photoshop, and I'm so sorry I couldn't think of anything better aside that abstract mess of reds and yellows. Sigh.
I'm trying to work with mixed traditional and digital media, so this was one of my experiments, trying out new stuff and so on x')

I know it's really simple, but I hope you like it!
As for me, I'll be off now... tomorrow I gotta get up at 5 (HELL) and this week is gonna be very busy. Like, very busy. ;_;

Hahah I don't know, I was searching for a title and this song came to my mind ("Brothers Under The Sun", by Bryan Adams).
Because you know, Anakin and Ahsoka's sibling bond

Anyway! This didn't happen for a specific reason. I've just started using my first sketchbook, one of those little Moleskines... and I wanted it to start with something regarding Anakin and Ahsoka!

I know there are a lot of mistakes with her character, though...she's totally off model (haven't drawn her in quite a long time, sadly, and didn't have references) and she's definitely too tall. In my mind, Anakin was meant to be way more bent towards her, making their height difference correct, but I'm not used in drawing in such a little sketchbook as I always use A4 paper, and so... yeah, I kinda lost track of proportions and poses while I was working :/ oh well, there's still time to improve, I hope

Being in a sketchbook, this was drawn in pencil, inked with a brush pen (first time using one of those to ink, much fun!) and colored with Copic markers I have to practice a lot with those, but I think this looks a bit nicer in terms of colors when compared to this old sketch card I did last year: [link]

AND BTW
The Clone Wars is giving me MANY FEELS and I don't know how to handle them, seriously that show is freakin' awesome and they better keep on going this way because WHOA.

About Disney buying Lucasfilm: as long as TCW still keeps on being awesome and in making brave writing choices, then it's okay. I'm totally focused on TCW right now, as long as it stays save, I'm fine.
TCW apart, I'm just curious. Curious to see what will happen, and how this.. Episode VII is going to be. I'm one of those who can't get enough of Star Wars stuff, and guys, it's way too early to start judging or being negative or close minded about this. I say, let's wait and see

Finally I'm back with another Star Wars fanart... geez, I know it's nothing special and I'm embarrassed by the enormous amount of mistakes I see in this one (I suck at perspective and at drawing Jedi Starfighters, yep) but at least I could finish something.
I keep on stumbling on an art block after another! It's really frustrating. I can't seem to regain my inspiration... T_T so I'm trying to push myself and finish something, even if it's not my best, to just...do it, ya know.
Also, the background was super fast and the coloring too, but again...it's finished... ;_;

Anyway, I really like how Anakin came out in this at least
It's something in his expression!! I always have fun drawing him and Ahsoka together x)

Star Wars - Building A Podracer

Believe me guys, I can't believe it's finished!!
I've had this idea at least two weeks ago I think, but it proceeded veeery slowly... and whoa, for some reason, I like this thing. I know, it's nothing epic, nothing cool, it's just little Anakin working on his podracer with the other kids pushing him around a little like we see in Episode I (except for Kitster of course the dark skinned boy on the left and Anakin's best childhood friend! )

The thing is, I never thought I'd be able to make all this stuff fit into a single sheet of paper ;_; all the characters, and the podracer (it was meant to only be seen in part!) and the background... and I really had fun while doing it!
I really need to practice and do more of these "full" pics, with lots of characters and backgrounds and stuff, but it's not easy for one who doesn't have any patience duh!

Again, nothing particularly cool, but I hope you enjoy all these little kids the way I did while drawing them

Hey there guys, again, long time no see... have been busy and uninspired, sob...
I was still in the middle of this art block, then I finally got a hold of myself and decided to get something done... and this happened!

My dear Star Wars watchers!!! I know I haven't drawn SW related stuff in something like... WHAT, TWO MONTHS!! Not the I drew much stuff anyway, but never doubt my love for Star Wars :'D

SW - AOTC 10th Anniversary

Aaah, I hate how this came out!! It looked so much better in my mind...

To my defense I can say everything was done in 1 hour and a half or something, so it was veeery rushed because I wanted to post something for today ;_;

So, happy Star Wars Prequels Appreciation Day!!
And I can't believe ten years already passed since Episode II, gosh I was a little kid...what happened ;A;

Anyway yeah, I drew them dressed like they are in the very moment they meet again in Episode II, ten years passed since it came out, and ten years also passed after The Phantom Menace, so... x)

Hope you enjoy a little bit, even though it's definitely not one of my best works...uff, I wish I was able to put a little more effort in it but I'm very tired.
At least I kinda like Obi-Wan's face this time!!

I had much fun drawing Thor again anyway! dunno if I gave him justice, but still
Oh, and on a side note: I meant to portray his usual naive behavior, like he's not seeing the damage going on at all xD that's why he's greeting Anakin that way...

Star Wars Heroes

Lol no, they're obviously NOT the only heroes in Star Wars, we all know that...let's say they're just my favorites! (I didn't include Ahsoka just because these guys are all from the actual movies!)

I don't really like this one...I feel like I didn't put much effort in it. It's just a bunch of faces!!! Maybe now I'm "used" in doing backgrounds and in having stories behind my pics, so this one feels a bit...I dunno. Different...

I posted it up for several reasons, one, I'm not dead just really tired, and since I have commissions and other work I have to do I didn't feel like drawing for myself lately :< I have some ideas I wanna finish though, and they should be better of this collage of faces haha! XD
Second, I wanted to draw Qui-Gon and especially Luke, Leia and Han from the OT!! I never give those guys the love they deserve!!

This drawing at least helped me understand that I have a lot of practice to do before I get characters I'm not familiar with right, or at least get myself satisfied with how I draw them.

Luke, for example. It doesn't look a bit like him, it's just a blonde guy with a white shirt x°D gotta draw him more.

Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan, why can't I get you right?? In my eyes he always looks wrong when I draw him. Gotta draw him more.

Qui-Gon...well, he has pretty peculiar features so he was easier than the most of the new guys I drew.

Han. I worked so hard to get his likeness because I love him so much...but I dunno...what do you think?

Leia...she's a girl, so I knew I was going to have trouble with her x°D but she could've ended up much worse, so...

Padmé, well, she doesn't look like Natalie Portman at all (sigh) but I think it's my way of drawing her XD

And Anakin...I think my Anakin has never been Hayden x°D he's been just Anakin from the very first time I drew him...and I like that, yeah

I hope you like it just a bit ;A; at least I hope you find it fun to have a look at how I struggled to draw some new characters!! x')

And tomorrow...THE AVENGERS!!! Yeah, i can't wait to go to the cinemaaaa 8D

SW - Once I called you brother

was aaaall I ever wanteeeeeeeeeddddddd!!! *sings* *windows break*

Ok I'll stop it haha!! XD Couldn't come up with a more original/epic title, so I thought I'd just steal a line from Prince Of Egypt's super cool song "The Plagues" (also known as "Let My People Go")
Not to mention it fits, right? I mean....Ahsoka fighting against Dark Side Anakin... 8'D

Uhm yeah, so why this came out?
I happened to read a lot of Kick-Ass lately, and while I think they exaggerate a bit with crude violence and stuff, I couldn't help but fall in love with John Romita Jr.'s anatomies...they're freaking perfect and they feel SO...3D!!! Lol!

So I was just like "ME TOO, ME TOO " and to try out what I was learning, I sketched Ahsoka in that pose...then I liked her expression, and was like "Ok I totally need to add Dark Side Anakin fighting her and glancing at her with the same look *_*"

Think about it, if something like this actually happened, there would be SO MANY FEELINGS ASDHJADHIGJKBJIUHHGG

The drawing itself was a pain actually...I drew them on separate sheets because I couldn't make Ani fit into the page x°D Fail 1.
Then their poses looked unnatural, I need to practice in drawing lightsabers dynamic and credible fights. Fail 2
And eventually, Ahsoka looked so much more dynamic when you could see her left hand holding the other lightsaber and her left legs before I put Anakin in there to cover everything... Fail 3

Last but not least....Renny, why u don't use perspective grids and go by eye

In short words, I might happen to take this subject on again when I can learn to draw better fighting poses...

Another reason why I decided to spend a bit of time on this is that I exceptionally got to finish working a little earlier today...so I was happy and little less tired than usual ;__;

But anyway. I promise that once this comic stuff I'm doing is over once and for all (14 days more of work!!) I'm going to finish all the other things I have to do, first of all commissions, and then, if nothing comes into my tormented way, practice on drawing more characters, more backgrounds and all the things in general that should be put in a portfolio to make it look decent.

And a promise made on a drawing of Dark Side Anakin fighting Ahsoka inside the Jedi Temple has to be kept!!!! D8<

Oh, and guys, thank you so much as always for your comments and faves!! I'm doing...not totally fine lately so they totally help brighten mah days 8D thanksthanksthanks.

OH GOD MY BACK HURTS SO FREAKIN' MUCH ---no seriously what happened? Ugh!

But I do believe Anakin is just teasing Ahsoka a bit...there's no way they can walk in a decent way if they stay like that haha! X°D so in no time Ani will just take aaaalll the rain.

I had so much fun drawing this one...and it also helped a bit 'cause I'm not doing that well lately :/ well, Easter holidays have ended and...I truly needed them to last more. I still have so much work to do...and instead, tomorrow I gotta get up at 5 to go to school and I don't think I can do it ugh.

OKAY! I'm one day late and this is TOTALLY silly, but I had Luke and Leia's expressions of awe so damn stuck inside my head that I had to let them out already...bear with me D8

Mechanical arms are good if you want to impress kids by crushing Easter eggs only by hitting them with a finger...LOL why am I so freakin' stupid :'D

At least after my previous pics in which Ani is having fatherhood troubles, here he's redeeming a bit x°D
Uh, and this time I like how Padmé came out for once she can relax because nothing dangerous is happening...I wonder how much will it last C:<

Mine, huh, wasn't exactly the happiest since I had to work all the day on my comic which must be finished by the end of April, but I always love Easter period! <3

Also, after all this work (12 colored pages in 4 days so far!! @_@) I had so much fun drawing this pic -even though you can see it's faster then usual, even in coloring- that I consider this my little reward haha!

SW - Homework

Yeah, another one of the series "Anakin sucks as a dad"

Okay...ehm...sorry about this, it was another stupid idea featuring the Skywalker family...and when these things come into my mind, I...have to draw them! D8

Soooo, as Padmé says, Anakin was supposed to help Luke and Leia doing their homework, but he misses the Clone Wars too much and so he's playing Republic Heroes on PSP...you can see the game's box beside him, yep it's the cheap version adding that thing was an idea that came while I was drawing and I know it looks dumb and it's a shameless breaking of the 4th wall XD but...I thought it looked funny... C:

Before starting to play though, Anakin did use the kids' pencils to draw his own stuff and projects like droids and so on....the yellow pencil is the shortest and most used because nobody is ever gonna change my mind about the fact that yellow must be something like his favorite color haha!! His podracer was yellow, he chose the yellow speeder when he chased Zam Wesell in Episode II, and finally he specifically wanted his Jedi Starfighter to be yellow (as a tribute to the podracer and because it was more outstanding, but still!) 8'D
I SHOULD STOP BEING SUCH A NERD

Anyway yeah, Padmé is not amused, Luke is putting all himself to get things right and Leia...I don't know, is she bored because she doesn't want to do the homework, or she just finds them too easy? xP

I hope you guys like this one...maybe I pushed it a bit too far with pencils, PSPs and existing SW games...but at least I had fun drawing
Lately I have to work so damn much... 8C

Haha, I haven't listened to this bit of that song not even once while I was drawing!! XD I only got the idea while I was listening to it some weeks ago...
Well, from what I've seen in fanvideos and such our fandom likes to play with the idea that Padmé and Anakin are reunited after death :> so I did a pic about that... even though Padmé was not a Jedi, so I'm not sure about the whole matter...but it's so nice to think about that so yeah!

Also, since Anakin returned to his old self when he died, I of course replaced the mechanical hand with his real one! X) The scar shouldn't be there as well, but I left a little hint anyway because I feel like...it's so part of his character lol.

And, huh, I think I like how Anakin's expression came out. It's pretty close to what I had in my mind and that's good
On the background...random Endor forest x°D anyway this was a pretty fast thing...as always...sigh!

And once again SW makes me draw romantic stuff involving Padmé and Anakin while I usually hate drawing this kind of things.... °_° I guess SW is SW, after all :'D and Anakin and Padmé are Anakin and Padmé! AND NOTHING HURTSSSS

On a side note, let's not talk about Hayden Christensen replacing Sebastian Shaw in ROTJ...I myself am really (like, REALLY) fond to the 1997 version (the one with Sebastian and the sad music, ya know) but since I'm also a NT fan I also think that the "new" Anakin helps in terms of continuity (besides, I think Sebastian looked a bit too old for a 46 years old guy- but yes, it's also true that Hayden looks too young x°D). So I solve the problem by having both versions anyway. So if you don't like the new one, keep calm and watch the old. I wouldn't like to do useless rantings about this subject or we risk to start another freakin' OT vs NT debate... =_=

... and on a personal note, I'm still listening to Hunchback of Notre-Dame freakin' OST. Lovelovelovelove! 8>

Hahaha, cheesy title and cheesy angsty scene with cheesy background for the win! AND BLOOD haha! x°D Just to make everything OH SO DRAMATIC -ugh... now I shall draw something hilarious for my next pic lol!

I had this image of Anakin dragging wounded Obi-Wan in my head, so I actually put it down on paper, also because I never seem to be able to get this kind of pose right. After some tries, I think it looks...okay. Uh, still gotta practice a lot, but...

You can imagine they're on Tatooine or something (deserts are easy to draw! XD) and the battle didn't go very well for once...but Ani is not giving up on his Master. Another pic of the series "Ani taking care of everyone" haha!!
Actually, I wanted to put a speech bubble with Anakin saying "Don't give up, okay?" or something along this line, but it would have sounded SO DAMN CHEESY!! x°D So I just left it that way.
Oh, and this is like my second time drawing Obi-Wan. I tried to get a bit of his likeness, but I'm not sure I succeeded. Will do better next time anyway, I hope

I used the watercolors technique again I'm just hopeless, I like it only because it makes everything messier!!! XD ...so it's easier to cover up mistakes......oh, whatever. I've been working all the freakin' day and got only one of the pages of my comic done. It was a damn long page. Then I worked on commissions. Now it's almost 3 AM and I had to do something without thinking too much :<

And OMG I've listened to Hunchback of Notre-Dame's OST all the freakin' day. °_° And I can't seem to stop. Aaah, I know the whole movie and the songs and the OSTs by heart, but still...

Lol okay, this was like, the quickest thing ever XD I was meant to do another drawing (which shall be made soon...°_°) but then inspiration stroke and here I am.

Finally I did get that lazy ass of mine up from mah chair and got my damn watercolors I wanted to use them in a while, but eventually I would just color directly on the computer xD
They were used for middle tones, to give the drawing the overall shadows, then I threw in some colors with PS because it looked better

Okaaayy!! I admit it, this is not something I entirely made up

I was watching the old Clone Wars cartoon series some nights ago, and in Chapter...22 I believe, there was this scene in which Padmé sees Anakin's scar for the first time, and they both look sooo sad! A bit too sad if you ask me °_° but oh well, it was to enhance the dramatic moment! xP

So I practically re-did a screenshot to make it look, hopefully, something like Disney movies' style! xD Me loves Disney movies, yeah! And that cartoon would be the coolest thing ever if it was in Disney style. I'm not really a fan of the original drawing style...it's just...I don't like it! Dx

Anyway I had fun with this one...I mean, it's nothing exceptional, but doing the cleanup and the cell shading (which I haven't done in a long time) was a good practice. I certainly came out of my comfort zone for once. Colored sketches are always the best! XD I was thinking of coloring the sketch again, but then I wanted to clean it up to try and making it actually look like a screenshot...not sure I succeeded though.

XD I think she looks way better like that the funny thing is that I was thinking "I hope she doesn't look like Katara " because last time I drew her this way people said she looked a bit like Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender...then I thought..."OMG but this scene I'm drawing looks familiar...where the hell did I see that?" and THEN I remembered. It was the scene on the Season 2 finale of ATLA in which Katara touches Zuko's scar. Lol epic fail. Subconscious is a powerful thing.

As soon as I've heard this song I thought it fits Anakin just PERFECTLY!!! Well...actually, if fits Darth Vader the most, but if I drew him I couldn't have drawn his expression...haha!

And beside, in this drawing Ani is already Vader, so yeah u__u
It's inspired by the scene right after he has killed the Separatists leaders, and he's watching Mustafar... I wanted to give a feeling of abandonment, or something like that xD that's why I drew him leaned on the column, like he's just tired of everything.

The song pretty much sums up what he's thinking, and I hope his expression conveys those feelings pretty well
Oh, and maybe it isn't clearly visible, but yeah, he has yellow eyes, to further show that he's totally Dark Side now :>

And for once I think I did a good background!
The whole thing is nothing pretentious, but it was a good practice.

Star Wars - Anakin's Nelvaan Quest

OK I KNOW IT'S HORRIBLE.

With this being said, I can proceed with the description. XD
Even though there's not much to say, I just watched Clone Wars Chapter 25 one or two months ago and finally decided to do a little something related to the famous Anakin's Nelvaan Quest... truth to be said, I'm not really a fan of that series, I mean the stories look cool, but I don't enjoy the drawing style so I have a hard time watching it >_< but I was curious as hell to watch this episode, so I did

The scene that impressed me the most (together with the one of Anakin's vision of his future) was when his mechanical arm exploded, it was very....Fullmetal Alchemist-like!!! X°D Haha! So I decided I'd give it a go, even though my take at the arm bursting in thousands of pieces was a TOTAL FAIL, from every single point of view.

Oh well, it was my first time drawing this kind of thing and sooner or later I just had to try!! x) Maybe next time it'll come out better, and I'll also have a bit more time on my hands to make it look a bit nicer.

If nothing else, at least if you want you can enjoy a bit of fanservice lol. I think that Padmé at least would enjoy this drawing, haha! *gets shot*

Oh, and yeah, I know that in Clone Wars his arm is supposed to be different, but I used the ROTS one because I like it better :'D and it because it had more contrast, thanks to the black parts, while the other one is completely golden...

Ghghgh, tomorrow is another hell day in which I have to wake up at 5.20....balls.

SW - To The Stars

This is a CLASSIC!!! Haha!! X°D

Anakin and Ahsoka looking at the stars...this VERY ORIGINAL idea suddenly came into my mind and I had to draw it!

I have to say it was more difficult than I had thought; I had several troubles in making them look like they were actually laying on the grass, with getting the right perspective, anatomy and such, but in the end I guess it turned out...kinda right?

NOW IT'S TIME FOR THE DEEP MEANINGS

At the beginning it was supposed to be a more light hearted pic, but then I just thought that Anakin isn't the kind of guy who'd just relax for a damn moment in his life and stop thinking about depressing things... haha no, I'm quite exaggerating now, but we who have read our beloved Matthew Stover's novelization of Revenge Of The Sith know very well that the thing that impresses Anakin the most is the fact that even stars burn out.

So my take at the stargazing subject from his POV, was that this is just another reminder of the moment in which he saw this dead star and realized that all things die (which as you know, is his main concern...). So the reason he has that worried/sad expression, as well as the tense position, relates to this.
I wanted him to look like he's not feeling comfortable at all, or he's already ready to get up at any moment...while Ahsoka is just enjoying the moment!! :> I like how her smile came out.

Also, I realized I hadn't drawn them since that fanart I uploaded at the beginning of February, which means MORE THAN A MONTH!!! Aaagh, it's time I come back to some brotherly pics with them. I HAVE IDEAS!! :'D

I'm sorry it's really nothing special...actually it's just a ten minutes "remake" in my style of the pic on Anakin's card in Star Wars' Top Trumps game 8'D
In the original card, it was a screenshot of the moment at the beginning of ROTS, right before Anakin and Obi-Wan enter the elevator of the ship to go save the Chancellor.

The bg wasn't supposed to be there at the beginning so it totally looks unfinished haha! I'm so lazy...but anyway I kinda liked how Ani turned out and it was my first time drawing him actually using a close reference, so it's different from what I usually do and I thought it would be nice to turn it into a thank you pic ;A;

And sometimes I wonder why I just can't color decently, I don't know, this thing was meant to have a warm and nice feeling, but it came out too yellowish/orange-ish...oh well, at least it kinda looks like a comic panel, I think. Quite rough, but still.

Haha, actually, there's more to this pic...and if you know me, you also know what's coming- exactly!! HELL LONG DESCRIPTION/RANT AHEAD. Read to your own risk (or maybe don't read it at all).

Ok, so, since I came back into the Star Wars fandom I've talked with quite a lot people who claim to hate the New Trilogy, that "it sucks", that "the characters are bad" and so on. While I completely disagree with that, because both trilogies have their flaws and their own good things, and it's pretty much senseless to compare them since they are just so different (and if you really hate the NT you can just ignore it! The Classic can stand on their own after all) I have to admit that sometimes, during this kind of conversations, I have had these INSANE THOUGHTS like "Oh God, enough with this Classic Trilogy!!". Then, every time I realized what I was thinking, regained reason and I was like "What the hell am I thinking?? I LOVE the Classic Trilogy so much D:" and so I felt like clarifying something by drawing this thing...

Point is, I just hate it so much when people came to me just to insult the New Trilogy and say that I shouldn't like it. WTF? Everyone has the right to like what they like. In my case, the NT, Episode III in particular, has a very personal meaning to me. People can say it's the worst movie ever, and I will still LOVE every.single.second of it. And find the good in it.

Yeah, mostly when people insult the NT I feel like they're attacking Episode III, so I feel insulted as well...xD sigh! Ok it's stupid, but that movie means a lot to me...

Don't get me wrong: of course it's good to share opinions and talk, but some people with whom I talked (not here on dA yet though) are just really disrespectful of others and keep insulting like their opinion was God's word or something ._.'

My point is: only because you dislike the NT, or don't see the good in it, be it Episode I, II or III (like Obi-Wan couldn't see the good in Vader anymore, unlike Luke : D Oh ok I'll shut up now) doesn't mean that there isn't any, or that other people can't like those movies for their own tastes or simply for personal reasons, like having watched them in a particular period of their life (like happened to me) or just because they have different thoughts from yours... for example, let's take the most hated: in Episode I there may be a lot of bad things/script/whatever you want, but personally I love Qui-Gon's character, and how insecure Obi-Wan seems as a young padawan, and the final duel with Darth Maul. So what? For these reasons, I like Episode I (since I was 7 lol) and I can't really change that.

I really can understand where people who hate the NT come from though (and I never claimed one trilogy is better than the other) ; I know the feeling of waiting for something so much, hoping it will be cool and awesome and then feel disappointed, because it happened to me with other stuff. (as for SW, I watched the New before the Classic so...xD) But that doesn't mean they have to insult people who like all the six movies or make them feel like they are inferior or something...haha! XD Personal taste is personal taste lol.

Anyway, there are also people that love the Classic Trilogy more but still respect the New, and those are the guys with which is good talking and sharing opinions. But I guess this works with everything and every subject, not only SW. Nobody likes to talk with those know-it-all that only want to be right and feel superior to others. ._.

Sorry again for the long talk! I just wanted to make things clear on my side 'cause I had this on my stomach and I don't wanna fight over something I love so much...I just think everyone should talk respecting each other's opinions!

Yay, another Anakin fanart xD sigh, lately I only draw him... =_= and some Donald (I'm so going to post something Disney related very soon °W°) which is the worst thing ever for my wannabe portfolio, but oh well.

Ok, so today came here and she asked if I could draw her some Anakin with an insolent expression...but that made me think about that scene where he meets Grievous in Episode III, hence the title of the drawing, and the background (loosely based on a screenshot of that scene). Except for these two things, everything else has nothing to do with the actual scene at all, since Ani didn't have the lightsaber there and his hands were bounded...and he wasn't scratched of course but scratches always make guys with insolent look better, I guess...

It's very simple but I hope you enjoy. I really need to come up with something more epic but lately I don't have any ideas at all... T_T

SW - A Frustrated Mess

In the introduction of the "You Can Draw Star Wars" book it's said: "If you don't have patience then you'll end up a frustrated mess-like Anakin Skywalker. And you know what happened to him!"
Sometimes I think of this phrase and start believing that I might go Dark Side soon as well, because I don't have freakin' patience @___@

But anyway I decided to just use the quote for the title of my umpteenth super boring and banal drawing of Anakin dueling someone among lava and flames. That someone now is probably Obi-Wan (also notice that Ani has yellow eyes so he's gone Dark Side already), but I had planned the drawing to feature only Anakin, so it was almost impossible to add a decent looking Obi-Wan to the already existing thing. So I just left the lightsaber there. And you know that I don't have patience and I just wanted to get something done, because sometimes I need to just finish something @_@

Also I'm not sure about the colors, I had to work with my laptop and now that I'm uploading it from my PC they look so different, I hate this kind of things =_= I hope they look fine on yours.

I hope you enjoy even though it's pretty boring...I promise to come up with something more original next time...doh, now my inner voice is saying "Don't make promises you can't fulfill, Renny : D" >_>

Mh...I haven't much to say about this one, I just wanted to draw some kind of background just for once...
And...nothing much, just Anakin walking away from Padmé's apartment (which I actually used as reference to draw the bg).

For the rest, I think you can give it any interpretation you want though the main theme is still Anakin and angst (and Padmé) lol! I need to draw something more cheerful, but lately I'm always tired or in kinda bad mood so it comes out natural to draw more depressing things! x'D

SW - Heaven's Light, Hellfire

Ok, this was an out of program!
I was planning to draw some Anakin and some Mustafar (which I'll do, no worries), then I started my Media Player playlist, Heaven's Light from Hunchback of Notre-Dame came first, and this image suddenly popped in my mind.

Well...Anakin and Padmé don't have much to do with the song anyway, but the concept is always the same...she's heading towards the light, and even though he can see it, and it reflects on him (blue highlight on his right arm and right part of his face, if you notice :'D), he just can't reach it...and he somehow knows that.

There was a huge fighting between me and this drawing...I had Anakin's expression pretty clear in my mind, I sketched it down, but there was something wrong, so I erased and then, I spent like a WHOLE DAMN BLOODY HOUR trying to re-get what I needed. Then, when I was at the point of saying "What the hell, I'm destroying this drawing now and not thinking about it anymore" I felt like I couldn't just turn my back on it, tried again and after a few more takes Ani's expression came out just right. Then I looked at the whole thing and thought it was...okay.

You can see the background is very rushed. That's because I was meant to spend waaaay less time on the sketch, and now it's very late and I need to get some sleep, so I rushed it because I wanted to get it down by tonight (because I just know that tomorrow, or better, today now, I won't be able to come back on it).

SW - Here We Go Again

Phew!
Looks like I'm on a Star Wars roll lately XD

Anyway nothing special, sketch colored in a hour or so, loosely based on the very last scene of The Clone Wars 4x16, where Ahsoka helps Anakin to get up.
That's why Anakin looks a bit beaten up (in the episode he hadn't had a very good time, remember? XD), gawd, that's already twice in a row if we count my Ani vs Mace drawing I posted before...

Anyway, the title of course means something like "Ok, this is done. Now let's move towards the next battle..."

Made up a veeeery simple background with some rocks and a sun lol. Just because it would have felt even cheaper without it.

The thing is, I'm working on a HUGE project I have to finish before the end of March, and I kinda hate working on it, so whenever I have time and inspiration I just draw everything I love to remember me WHY I love drawing. :<

P.S. : About "The Clone Wars". I've had a look on Wookieepedia about the next episodes, and you're not telling me that the season finale is only about Dooku and Ventress, right? RIGHT?? Star Wars - Anakin vs Mace

Ok, now that I got your attention...*cough*

This was so much FUN to do. I know I'm a bastard, but yeah, I had fun. xD

Ok so, that's what happened...

Yesterday me and my friend were watching "Jumper", or better, she was watching it for the first time and trying to enjoy it while hateful me was just trolling about how the characters are so clichè, how it's so boring that they only go around trying to save the girl, and how OMG like 60/70% of the movie is Samuel L. Jackson beating up Hayden Christensen! X°D Like....whoa, if we were in Star Wars Episode III, and they weren't Roland and David but Mace and Anakin, Mace would just be SO HAPPY to finally throw at Anakin all of his repressed hatred! XD Like...THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME hence the phrase Mace is saying in the drawing.

And since I just couldn't get this scene out of my mind, I just came up with this stupid drawing.
Needless to say, their expressions came out a bit too serious for a silly strip xD so if you want you can consider this like a serious fighting between them lol!
I know I would have loved to see a dramatic epic fighting between them in Episode III (like in the PS2 game!! GHGHGH I WANNA PLAY IT NOW BUT MY PS2 IS LIKE BROKEN I THINK).

Moreover, this for once may make the purists happy, since they usually love to hate Anakin.

BUT ANYWAY KEEP THIS IN MIND...
Anakin is totally my favorite character (together with Donald Duck, yep) so don't bother writing comments about how he's a "bad character" or how "the prequels sucked because", 'cause it's just pointless and useless. :> Thank you!

And I hope you just enjoy the drawing as always, super quick coloring over the sketch. I had never drawn a scene like this, so once again, it was actually fun.

Star Wars - Stay Away...

Yep...spoiler from The Clone Wars, season 4, episode 16.

I totally loved this scene. You know I'm totally a sucker for their Master/Apprentice bond so I really wanted to have a go with this, even though it's merely a (not so good) redraw in my style of the actual scene, with the difference that I put Anakin's face towards the camera because I totally wanted to draw him.

Anyway working so close with a reference was kinda good to practice with my issues with perspective of anatomy and such, I would find Ahsoka's pose extremely difficult normally, but this time it came out right looking, what do you think?
And I also kinda like Ahsoka's expression, even though it's based off of the original scene.

As much as I wanted to clean it up and try to make it look like a cartoon's screenshot, I eventually gave up to my urge to throw some colors into the sketch, so again no lineart. ._.
I could still do it later though, if I don't find anything else to do.

Random title is random! *sees Anakin Unleashed figure on her desk and writes title*

Here you have another Anakin, phew I'm a boring person... and in my mind everything looked so cool, but then I ended up not liking the sketch, but scanned and threw some colors on it anyway (in something like 40 minutes maybe!)

I also added some cool looking messy fire effects just to distract you from the mistakes that I see in this drawing haha! But now that it's colored it does look a bit better than the first sketch, even though Anakin's expression was different in my mind... I dunno.

Anyway still taking inspiration from Glen Keane. There was this Tarzan sketch I really liked and it gave inspiration for Anakin's pose.

Also sorry for this nonsense blablabla but it's twenty past midnight, I'm tired and I have to wake up in less than 5 hours.......... DDDDDDDDDDDDD:

Buahahah. Random stupid thing that just popped in my mind two days ago... I was probably feeling tired, so drew Anakin like that, and everything else came just naturally!! XD

Padmé in the background looks kinda creepy, in my opinion! XD Well... for some reason the blue of her dress is SO DARK and I couldn't fix it, had problem with those damn CMYK and RGB again... .__. why can't I make it wooooorrrrkkkkkkk!!! I really hate the coloring on this one! If you look closely you can still see her figure a bit, anyway ;_;

It looks like this is my first submission of the new year, and yeah, it's quite depressing...
Actually, it's describing a bit how I feel lately drawings like this help me give a little vent to my emotions haha!
The new year didn't begin very nicely for me, I won't go into details or anything also because some would be probably considering me kinda weird... I'll just say, the title I gave this deviation is a "nice" reminder not only for Anakin, but for me as well...

Speaking about the piece itself, I drew it with a 4B in my sketchbook, that's why it looks so messy and that's how I wanted for it to be!
The overall look refers to the description that Matthew Stover gives about Anakin's heart in the novel adaptation of Revenge Of The Sith:
There was a thermonuclear furnace where his heart should be, and it was burning through the firewalls of his Jedi training.
He held the Force in the clench of a white-hot fist.
He was half Sith already, and he didn't even know it.

The "dragon" thing on the line I mentioned at the beginning refers to Anakin's fear; in the book it is the symbol of the fear in his heart and he can sense it very much...
I hope that with this drawing I have succeeded in representing Anakin's struggle against his fear, and how it is burdening him...

...if you haven't read the book though, I strongly recommend you do, it's really awesome and very well written. Really gives more insight into the characters and the story in Episode III.

Because the first one I did [link] was so fun that I HAD to do another one! Plus I haven't drawn Anakin and Ahsoka in quite a long time :/ (anyway, as always, they're in a bro/sis attitude huhuhuhu 8D)

I added the logo just for fun haha! XD There was quite a lot of blank (or better, greenish) space...but I'm not sure it looks good, what do you think? Should I take it off?

This is my first sketch card!!

I had SO MUCH FUN drawing it!! I had never drawn Anakin in "Sith version", with the awesome yellow eyes, so this time I happily did!! Not to mention I finally got to do some more Copic practice, haven't picked up those in a while...

Anyway, I really do hope you enjoy this little drawing as much as I did while drawing it!

PS: I forgot, but...as you can imagine, the scanner ruined the colors as usuaaaal! >_>

EDIT: changed the colors of Anakin's room. I really didn't like the previous bluish tone. I think a brownish scheme fits better the insides of the Jedi Temple hope you like it better too!

IT'S FRIDAY, FRIDAY!!! (everyone who knows that terrible song sing along with meeee!! XD)

Mh, okay, so, it looks like in tonight's ep Anakin and Ahsoka are back, and I wanted to express my incredulity with this stupid drawing. In my mind it was so much better, but that's how I realize how noob I am...I can't really get things down the way I imagine, but ANYWAY! I'm in a bad mood because of this lately, so don't consider my whining.

The joke is also kinda unfunny, but I've been having this image in my mind since the third episode of the infamous Krell trilogy! xD Anakin and Ahsoka don't even think they're going to appear again in the series in which they basically should be the main characters, when suddenly, they appear again, and Anakin was already ready to think about retirement.

Don't tell me the main characters are supposed to be the clones :/ I have the bad habit of disliking a show if I can't see my favorite characters anyway (that applies even when those characters are co-protagonists or something anyway), and I consider Anakin and Ahsoka as the central characters of TCW. That's why I'm totally upset by the fact that they TOTALLY disappeared for six weeks. SIX WEEKS!! What the hell? D: And there was even a hiatus somewhere between the droids episodes, for which I have already expressed my disappointment...

Luckily I had Supernatural. But this week SPN is on hiatus and I HOPE the good, old TCW adventures are coming back. I miss them so much.

Please, don't spoiler me though, I get to watch it only tomorrow's evening 'cause I live in Italy

And btw, I didn't invent Anakin's room. It is based from a sketch which you can find in the book "Anakin Skywalker: A Jedi's Journal" which came out around 2002, with Episode II. Actually, that was how it is supposed to look when Anakin was 9-10, I don't know how the rooms system works in the Jedi Order but I like to think he's always in the same room, or a similar one, and that the furniture and the objects are kinda the same! x)

Too bad I had to make up the colors, and I don't like them a bit. Maybe I'll try to fix them...I dunno...

Ok guys, ok...don't hate me!!!

That's what a SW-tard like me gets when she's reading all Harry Potter books again... (just finished the 5th! :'D)

Of course this is based on the fact that in the books is often said that Slytherin is the house of all the bad guys, so well, since Ani is destined to become a VERY bad guy, I thought he would be thrown into Slytherin just because of that! x°D and Ahsoka is just reminding him that, while Obi-Wan tries not to laugh... and they're Gryffindor's of course! XD
Anakin is not very happy of being a Slytherin though so he's just looking at his uniform with RAGE lol!

This is also my (weird) way to celebrate The Clone Wars Season 4 airing this evening!!! I'll have to wait some extra hours to get it with subs, and I'm looking forward to it!

Ok now, have patience with me and my weird crossovers! Also the bg sucks because I'm a lazy ass...I don't know, I just wanted to draw this stupid thing. Hope you like it just a bit.

Now I'll go get some sleep (it's 2.12 in the morning dammit) and then I'll get back on doing some commissions!

Yay for original titles!!

Anyway, finally I've finished this one...well, actually, it'd need some touches (a LOT of touches) but I don't want to work on it again, at least not now @__@
I've been working on this for some days while doing some commissions, and today I just finished coloring the characters...I thought it would come out better though!
That's because I gotta practice a lot moar, especially on backgrounds.
I also didn't have many references for this one (which should be some kind of hangar, haha, total fail! XD)

For the rest, nothing new under the sun, Anakin and Ahsoka sharing another bro/sis moment, and yes it's supposed to be cute...probably it's too cute for my usual standards x°D

Well actually I had loads of fun drawing this...especially Mace Windu's expression

talked about Windu's presence somewhere out of the pic, so this came into my mind 8D

It's stupid I know...but notice how our Fearless Hero is pushing his apprentice towards the battle...x°D Poor Ahsoka!
Anyway I wanted Anakin's expression to be the one of someone who totally expected for something like this to happen sooner or later (which is Mace going insane...) but still scared of course XD while Ahsoka is completely speechless...
and for Mace my dear FFFUUU face was a good inspiration <3 haha!!

Yay!! Another SW fanart xD
The Anakin and Ahsoka spam continues lol!

Here there's something which came into my mind thinking about something I read on Wookiepedia (if I remember correctly) or somewhere else around the net, which is the fact that Anakin often tells Ahsoka not to use the reverse grip 'cause it's a dangerous fighting style!

Now I'm pretty sure Anakin never told her this in the Clone Wars series, but thinking about it, it's really funny xD also because Ahsoka doesn't seem to listen to him at all...and it also shows how Anakin always worries about his little sis...erm, his Padawan! XD

So I thought about a really simple scene in which Ahsoka is training in a room of the Jedi Temple (the one in which Padawans train...) with Anakin, so he tells her that "there's something wrong"...xD

Oh, and the "little one" comes from season 1, episode 19, when a lots of clones die because of some kind of trap and Ahsoka feels guilty because she was leading the mission, and Anakin tells her "Take heart, little one. That's the reality of command."
OK I'LL STOP BEING SUCH A NERD NOW!!

Coming to the fanart itself, I wanted to try painting a background, I drew it on paper and then colored it with PS...but I have lots of trouble in rendering materials, like the basement of the column and the floor...sigh!

Yaaaay, another pointless Star Wars fanart! I'm pretty sure people will hate this one - yes, I'm aware of what lots of fans think of Episode I and little Anakin haha!
But hey, I discovered I like drawing him and this pose fits him...yeah it all started from me wanting to draw him in that pose and then I added young Obi-Wan
I usually have a lot of trouble drawing people with crossed legs that way, but this time I felt inspired! xD

The meaning is simple, Obi is turned towards the light, while Anakin is already in the darkness...

Man, I don't know what I'm doing here while I should study maths...well drawing Star Wars is better indeed! Even though I'm drawing SO MUCH SW!!! I want to draw Supernatural too, but I always end up drawing SW, damn, I don't want to forget how to draw Dean and Sam! XD

Oh, and I also sleep much. Way too much. I'm trying to go to bed earlier at night, but in the afternoon I ALWAYS fall asleep for hours, which is no good. Ghghg, my brain hurts!

Naah, I'm joking, eventually he managed to save himself and everyone else...but only at the end of Episode VI! xD

Anyway this refers to how he managed to become a great Jedi with a lot of potential and to get Padme (all things he had been wanting to do since he was a child! XD) so he could have been happy if it was not for his personality which led him to search for more and more...but hey, his "I'm-never-satisfied" attitude is one of the reason why I like him so much, even though in the end of Ep III it led him to the disaster, it also was what led him to never give up no matter how desperate the situation was and to improve himself through the fear and everythiiiiinnngg!

Ah, ehr, sorry anyway, I don't know if this drawing makes any sense at all, that's what I get when I spend hours saying stupid things about Star Wars with my friend Cass...x3

But anyway, little Anakin is a bit of a smart ass so I think it's totally in his character to even blame himself for not making things going exactly how he wanted! After all he has always demanded a lot from himself...

Hey people!!

Nothing serious/good, I just wanted to draw Anakin and Ahsoka! I was watching the Clone Wars movie with and I felt the urge to draw my favorite Master and Padawan (or brother and sister, as I like to see them.... : D)!

It was meant to be a cool thing with a cool background, but I ended up with a shitty coloring and some stupid special effect xD also I hate the way I drew Ahsoka, it doesn't look like her a bit, I think I forgot how to draw her...so I gotta practice moar...while I love Anakin's expressions!

Anyway I noticed it looks like some sort of comic page, so if you have suggestions on what they're saying, you're invited to share!! but they must be EPIC u___u

Yep, Anakin again...I've had this drawing in my A3 sketchbook for something like a month, I think...and I finally finished it coloring it with Copic markers! Not the best coloring, but I haven't used markers in a while...but I love how the hair and his expression came out!

Phew, I'm having quite a hard time here...school and other things...I'm so tired... that's why I don't upload much! ><

FOR THE ONES INTERESTED TO THE REASON BEHIND THE LAST SKETCH:
well ok, this thing kinda happened to me with a teacher of mine xD this guy has a very bad attitude towards me, just like Mace Windu does with Anakin, so I often release my hate for him by drawing silly strips with Ani and Mace! (this one is actually longer, I just put the first drawing) So yeah, I was entering the class carrying all these things you see Ani carrying as well, and even though the huge paper sheet was already been taken by a classmate of mine who helped me, I saluted the teacher with a "Good day prof!" and the guy just stared at me and didn't respond! I did this silly strip during the lesson and later me and my classmate LAUGHED A LOT ABOUT IT.
In your face, prof : D when the finals are over, I'll make sure to give you a copy of all the silly strips I drew about you and you saying I will not succeed in my life (Yeah he did say that, adding that I don't have talent at all)

Personally I see it more as a big brother/little sis' relationship *W*

I already know some people will say that Clone Wars sucks, Ahsoka shouldn't exist, it's not canon etc etc...but guys, who cares about canons and such!! I just find it great to see more and more of Ani's character development, and I love to see him as a Master! At least he can really teach something good to another young Jedi, like thinking with your own head, you know what I mean!

Aaaand...I know, Ani's outfit is the Season 3 one, while Ahsoka still has her old one...well, it's because I like Ani a lot in that outfit, and Ahsoka in her old one! XD It feels more familiar to me, and this was my very first time drawing her, so I just drawn her the way I felt more comfortable.

The background just sucks because as always I don't have enough patience (I should follow Anakin's advice to Ahsoka - be patient!!! XD) but at least there is one!
So have mercy please : < I really do know it's no good and the droids are very...cheesy...

Last but not least, I should be studying history because I have a test tomorrow (but it's already almost midnight, so who cares! xD) or doing some work for the comic contests I'm doing at the moment...but oh well, I had this thing stuck in my mind for more than a week, and to me, IT'S A LONG TIME BECAUSE FOR ONCE I LOVE THIS DRAWING AND I'M SO GOING TO PRINT A POSTER FOR MY ROOM!!

I'm sorry I didn't do any justice to R2...I just suck at this mecha things...>< the only mecha things I can really draw are light sabers!! When I was 14 I could draw Anakin, Obi-Wan and Vader's light sabers very well, with all the details, without having any reference °W° I need to re-get that ability...

Star Wars - Anakin and Padme

Anakin and Padmé, because I love them!

I usually have no interests for couples and such, but with those two is different!!

Maybe because I kinda like the fact that Ani screwed everything up...I don't like it in a sadistic way of course!! XD ...

-Star Wars Rant Ahead-

...it's a matter of storytelling, ya know...usually the main characters do always everything right, and they're awesome and everything..Ani, instead, couldn't see what he had...and he loses everything eventually...he was really his fault, which makes him an extremely "human" character, ya know what I mean?

Well, even though, let's admit it...if the Jedi trusted him more, maybe he wouldn't turn to Palpatine so easily T_T
At least that's what I think, I mean, even if Palpatine was lying all the time, at least he pretended to trust Ani...and since nobody else did (except for Padmé...I don't really count Obi-Wan since he's like the perfect Jedi and when he has to let go someone, hell yeah HE DOES) his confusion was understandable...

Anyway Padmé was really the one that trusted him 'til the very end...even after their meeting in Mustafar...while everyone else thought he was lost forever...
and the thing is, there was no useless drama (like you see in things like Twilight...), there was just sadness...because man, Padmé truly loved him

OH GOD I JUST DID A SUPER BORING STAR WARS RANT NOBODY WILL READ. SORRY ABOUT THAT.

But if you like SW I would love to talk about it! Especially Episode III!

I really, really, really love Anakin's character. I do. (I still hate the fact that he killed all those people when he went Dark Side of course).

Star Wars B-Day Present OWO

Just like last year, I drew myself a little birthday present 8D

I had the sketch ready by yesterday but due to studying I couldn't finish it in time ;_;

So yeah, 19-years-old me and Anakin, in episode II of course 8D
I think I never put on dA a fanart featuring myself, but I just had to do it this time haha!!

There's a personal, crazy meaning behind this u_u I've been looking up to this guy since I was 13, I don't know, it's just that I have much (sometimes I think too much) in common with Anakin's personality, that made him one of my favorite characters ever!!! So it feels strange to be his age in Episode II °W° especially if I remember little Renny watching it on tv and thinking that Anakin is sooo cool and I want to be like him somedaaaaay 8D (aka a Jedi knight!! HAHAH!! XD)
but since I'm not a Jedi knight (...well, apparently >8D) I have a pencil in my hand instead of a light saber
Anyway this was a PERFECT occasion to finally draw Anakin, thing I've been longing to do for a very long time now!

...and in case you were wondering, the Clone Wars series is like the incarnation of all my dreams 8D I want to be in Ahsoka's place!!! D8 I've been dreaming about being Ani's apprentice for like forever haha!! I really need to watch all the episodes of Clone Wars whenever I get the time...now I must go back to study for my exam simulation of tomorrow ;_; ghghghgh...IwannabeaJediknight.
