A rather different subject from what I usually do: anthropomorphic animals, in this case the 'Katar' being this species of humanoid giant cats. Was pretty fun to do something different, and a more sci-fi themed 'comic-book' styled illustration.

Very nice details on this kit, minimal clean up and clean molding, although I dont know if its still in the market, as I picked it up 5 years ago or so. Hope you like it!

On a related note, the desert marpat is really a poor abstract suggestion at best. I still cant paint in the pixel pattern on this scale yet. Probably will try multicam at some point on a SF style figure, but for now heres the stock figure from the internet if anyone is interested:

Touched up the paintjob on the face and bits of the figure since the first time it was completed some time back.

1:35 White metal figure is made by a Korean company, Infinity Shape, which has since gone bust I believe sadly. I really loved this figure, and was hoping to pick up one more. While im not too sure about accuracy of the equipment in terms of the vest and stuff, the detail on this little guy is really crisp and amazing. ]]>

Going back to my milart roots~! A sketch of a Special Ops Operator...*sigh* i loooove my Oakley assault boots, but damn if the quality isnt shit. Comfy as hell, but the soles are worn pretty much flat after only a year, and the damn thing has the traction of a squid on wet surfaces when it rains.

Although maybe i should move away from the brown/dessert stuff...and apparently my wardrobe consists of much tan/khaki/brown/olive stuff, as has commented. D: ]]>

Wasnt quite sure what kinda category this would fall under, sooo...oh well. Just bought this guy recently from the local Minotaur here in Melb...the newer Medicom Old Snake 'Ready', and I must say this one is heaps better than the first one they made. Better sculptor, with more accurate depiction of the face and sharper detailing on the body.

Bad habits die hard, so I felt compelled to repaint most of the figure on this case, especially since the suit was very much too blue, and far from the actual grey sneaking suit.
Face was repainted and reshaded as well to define the dark and light areas a little more.

Used a mixture of Vallejo acrylics, Citadel Metal acrylics, and your standard artist's oil paints to redo this one. Helpful hint: Washing with oils gives a much smoother and softer shading effect then with acrylics or inks in my opinion.
