It's just as hot a topic now as it was when I drew this piece, though I doubt we'll ever see a game like this simply because it's not viable for developers. RE4 and FFVII are probably my all time favorite vids, so this was fun to do this would be "off panel" moment of them. I think I took some heavy duty artistic liberties with porportions with this one. This was actually about the PSP. The idea being that the player would makie sounds and the game interprete these as weapons. Make a machine gun sound, your character fired a machine gun, make a missile swooshing sound and a missle would fire, etc...

This game was kinda like Dance Dance Revolution, except with the player talking into a mic peripheral of some kind, trying to be humorous.

Interesting idea, but asking a computer to know if a joke is funny or not would be more revolutionary than the game itself.

This game idea was (as you may have guessed) all about mowing lawns. The player would start off with one of them crappy push mowers, earn money, buy new more powerful mowers, hire a busty assistant, until....until....um...well I have no idea how this game would end really. But the grass physics...oh those grass physics would be worth the price of admission alone. ]]>

This game was essentailly about a guy that went around in a fisticuff manner, solving crime, fighting aliens, and saving the world. One knuckle sandwich at a time.

A game like this seems somewhat well, generic by now, but potentially untapped by current hardware. Though after seeing what capcom is doing with DevilMayCry4, it gave me new hope for what could lie in the future for beat'em ups. Where's the next gen Double Dragon, or Streets of Rage. Why is it with more powerful hardware it has become nearly impossible to find one title that could help bring this genre back to it's former glory. FPS are fun an cool, but why the hell are there so many of them (Don't worry just a hypothetical question).

AH well, had fun doing this illo though. Made me yearn for the fighters of yesterday (even though this is a old illo ). ]]>

Personally, in the debate over who'd win in a fight, a pirate or ninja, I'd go for ninja. Ninjas have more training before they see real action, whereas pirates seem to learn "in the feild", which is why they're often depicted with a missing limb a lot of the time. At least thats my theory. ]]>
