Those little Buttons make your mesh invisible.
The upper one is for editor visibility (it will still be rendered)
The lower one is for render visibility (will still be visible in editor)

Red means invisible, Green means visible and grey default.
Default means, the object adapts visibility from the parent object. (If there is no parent, default means "on")

Started with a dark blue background and a grey spot in the middle. After that I filered the thing about fifty times.
A lot of glowing edges, motion blur, lens correction, neon glow and highpass.
I use the fade-last-effect function a lot. And never forget playing around with different blending types.

A few years old already.
