Since "Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles" was canceled, I've been crossing my fingers for a comicbook, continuing the adventures of Sarah, John, and Cameron. Since it doesn't look like my wish will be granted any time soon, I thought I'd do my own tribute piece.

This version is still in the rough stages - I'm trying to rough in the paint in layers, instead of smoothly brushing on flat color. I feel it makes it a bit more life-like and less static.

I made some time to color Page 1 of my fan comic. Check out the linework here.

I'm not convinced I'm quite happy with it, though I do like the purples and greens. The captured Jedi is suppose to be blue-skinned, so I did my best to illuminate him with green light.

Let me know what you think! And if anyone else would like to give it a coloring job, please go at it!!

I'm collaborating on a "Star Wars: Invasion" fan comic project. Here's the first page...It'll probably be around 35 pages, and am considering looking for help coloring it. If you're interested, feel free to sling some color on the linework, and link to it in the "comments" section!

Here's the page's description, from the script:

Int: Yuuzhan Vong detention cell. Not so much a room asa hole. A filthy cavity in the floor of a larger room. At the bottom, wearing ragged spacers undergarments and looking like something chewed him up and shat him out (which is entirely possible), meditates Seyyerin Itoklo, Jedi Knight. We see mostly a silhouette at first until a hatch opens above him to illuminate the putrid detail of his situation with a greenish haze. Sey looks up, face impossibly passive given his condition.

VONG GUARD (offscreen)

Sorry for jumping around all over the place! I just seem to spit them out at random, as inspiration strikes. I'm not even convinced this is GOING to be page 15...but we'll see.

I'm debating if I need to include more foreground elements in the asteroid field.

Here's the page's description, from the script:

PAGE 15

Ext: The remains of Kalarba. Several huge chunks of obliterated planet, mixed in with debris from the battle, and maybe a piece of two of Hosk, noticeable for a sort of mechanical shell over one face. The larger chunks each have multiple crazy-ass Vong slug-looking things attached to them, and theres a fair amount of Vong ship activity - patrols, transports, etc. - going on amidst them all. The big warships have moved on, though.

TITLE: KALARBAN YUUZHAN VONG SHIPWOMB

We move in on one particular slug, eventually seeing growths of coral protruding from their sides - tiny in comparison to the slug, but still about the size of a respectable apartment building. These are the slave barracks; the actual mining work is done inside the slug, and should look suitably revolting. The push-in continues until we find ourselves in a large cavity inside the slug. As Sey narrates, we see first a view of the slugs digestive area, largely devoid of Vong or slaves, then the mining area, where dozens of Kalarban slaves are at work separating the indigestible bits from the raw matter picture an assembly line set up inside your stomach, with a big pile of chewed-up crap in one area and multiple assembly-line-like setups in another, with slaves everywhere; digging through the pile, lining the assembly lines, being beaten by Vong guards, etc.

As for myself, I'm content to help out where I can.

With the Vong looking for slaves, and Hosk coming down in the distance, I decided I could best help these people by hiding amongst them.

While they've got biots doing the heavy lifting, Kalarban technology doesn't seem to agree with them.

FINAL PAGE

Int: Mining Camp Headquarters. Probably pretty similar to the bridge of the Vong ship in Invasion, but with more of an office feel than a bridge feel. Akka Sheng is sitting at her desk. No idea what the Vong equivalent of a desk would be have fun. A guard approaches.

TITLE: NOW

GUARD

He hands Sheng a handful of notes the narration weve been reading. Sheng looks them over briefly.

SHENG

NARRATION
Rescuing slaves is the kind of thing a Jedi Knight is born to do.
It may even be possible that I won't have to kill anyone.

She tosses them aside. We pull back to see an Etti skeleton, covered from top to bottom with strange Vong metals and jewelry (see: Elegos AKla), propped up in one corner - the remains of Seyyerin Itoklo.

SHENG

Vassar Post is a male Woostoid, and Knight Banneret for the Red Knights of Life on Kalarba, during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. Although Woostoids are traditionally a tech-savvy species, Post's parents moved to sparsely-developed Kalarba to get away from the overly-automated culture on Hosk, and raised him as something of a radical...making him a perfect anti-droid Vong ally. Armed with pummelstaves and projectile weapons, Post and his Red Knights of Life were a formidable foe against the Jedi.

Here's another illustration I did from the New Jedi Order, depicting Jedi Master Eelysa before she was killed on Corellia. In "Star by Star" Eelysa's Jedi students sense her fall victim to the Yuuzhan Vong's voxyn.

I based Eelysa's outfit from "Revenge of the Sith" concept art.

The Last Stand of Lusa, a Chironian Jedi Knight that trained alongside the Solo siblings. She died in "Star by Star," when a pack of voxyn attacked her in a field.

I've not read the "Young Jedi Knight" series, so her likeness may not be exact...
