To all Minecraft players!

Do you known this situation where you want to build something big in survival mode, but don't know how many stacks of each resource you need to prepare?

I got it several times, that's why I created this tool!

Features
_ Converts any amount of items to the corresponding number of full stacks (64 items), including the remaining ones
_ Can do the opposite conversion: gives you the full number when you specifies stacks number and remaining items
_ Can use different stacks sizes seen in Minecraft (please tell me if I forgot some of them)

My adoptive Enderdragon seems to be afraid of storms and tornadoes, she teleported herself in my buildind, I didn't break any block!

Used Mods

Dragon Mounts - This mod allows you to raise the Enderdragon Egg you get in the End. According to how and where you raise it, you will have different Enderdragon species. Your dragon follows and protects you as a dog (in more powerful), and can used used a a flying mount.
Rei's Minimap - This mod adds the map you see in the top-right corner. It also allows you to see other players on servers which allows this feature, like mine.
Simple Ores and NetherRocks - These two brother mods add a total of 11 new ores in the game (5 in the Overlord, 6 in the Nether). The pickaxe you see is made with Argonite, a material similar to diamond, only found in the Nether.
Weather & Tornadoes - As its name suggests, this mod adds various weather effects, creating storms of different intensities, and the strongest can create tornadoes which can bring creatures in the sky and destroy buildings (configurable)!

Minecraft - Fort Boyard

_{OMG, I'm alive!!! XD}

For people who don't know, Fort Boyard is a fort located in France (in the Atlantic ocean near La Rochelle). At first created to be used as a defence point, then a prison, the fort is today used for the eponymous TV game, mainly in France but also adapted in several countries.
In this game, a team of 6 candidates have to succeed in physicals and intellectual tests to get 7 keys and some clues which will allow them to open the treasure room and get the max price.

Here is the WIP recreation of my own version of the Fort in Minecraft. This map has not the aim to reproduce accurately the esthetic of the original, but to be fully playable, with working cells, working duels, clues and password etc.

I don't know if I will publish it one day. Because it depends on several special requirements:
_ Minecraft 1.5.1
_ Bukkit server
_ AddEffect plugin

If you want pictures of the final version once I finish it, I will publish more!

Pour ceux qui ne connaîtraient pas encore après plus de 10 ans, le Fort Boyard est situé au sud de La Rochelle, en France. Au début créé pour servir de point de défense, puis de prison, il est aujourd'hui le théâtre du jeu TV éponyme.
Jeu dans lequel une équipe de 6 candidats doit réussir des épreuves physiques et intellectuelles pour récupérer 7 clés et des indices pour débloquer la salle du Trésor et libérer celui-ci.

Voici une image de la recréation dans Minecraft du Fort, à ma sauce. Cette construction n'a pas pour but d'être le plus fidèle à l'esthétique du Fort, mais d'être entièrement jouable : cellules chronométrées, systèmes d'animation par Redstone, duels, gestion du temps etc.

J'ignore si je la publierai un jour, car elle dépend de besoin spécifiques :

Minecraft - Utopia - 8

Part 1 of my Enchantment Room.
This structure became less useful with the 1.3.2 version because higher enchantments costs only 30 levels.

To have higher and more powerful enchantments, you need to put bookshelves around the enchantment table.
But, once it was done, I often wanted to get lower enchantments, which costs less XP, for some tools.
Problem: when you break a bookshelf, you only get the books. Result: loss of 6 wooden planks, and you need to recraft the bookshelf.
That's why I created this. Under the ground, there is a Redstone system, controlled by levers, which allows me to move bookshelves side, and so to control how many bookshelves add their power to the enchantment table.
At the center, my XP Chest (see below), on an obsidian bloc, used to fix the trapdoor. This trapdoor is the access to the lower level.

Used mod:

Exp Chest - This mod add an XP Chest, in where you can store your XP. I regret that in this version, XP is added by levels and no more by points, which open doors for cheating and getting a lot of XP easily

Fields Enchant Room (part 1) Enchant Room (part 2)

Première partie de ma Salle d'Enchantement.
Cette structure est devenue moins utile avec la version 1.3.2 car les plus gros enchantements ne coûtent plus que 30 niveaux.

Pour avoir de meilleurs enchantements, vous devez poser des bibliothèques autour de la table d'enchantement.
Mais, une fois ceci fait, j'ai souvent voulu obtenir des enchantements plus faibles, qui coûtaient moins d'XP, pour certains outils.
Problème : quand on casse une bibliothèque, on ne récupère que les livres. Résultat : perte de bois et nécessité de recrafter la bibliothèque.
C'est pourquoi j'ai créé ceci. Sous le sol, un système de Redstone (géré par leviers) me permets de contrôler combien de bibliothèques je veux placer autour de la table.
Au centre, mon coffre d'XP (voir dessous), sur un bloc d'obsidienne, utilisé pour fixer la trappe. Trappe qui permet l'accès à l'étage en-dessous.

Mod utilisé :

Exp Chest - Ce mod ajoute un Coffre d'XP, dans lequel vous pouvez stocker votre expérience. Je regrette que dans cette version, l'expérience soit calculée avec les niveaux et plus avec les points, ce qui ouvre des portes pour tricher en obtenant facilement des hauts niveaux (testé avec l'EnderDragon : 417 niveaux au lieu de 113 !)

Minecraft - Custom fonts in (almost) all languages

Avez-vous remarqué que si vous passez Minecraft en français, vous perdez la police du jeu et des packs de textures ? La raison est que le fichier qui stocke les textes dans certaines langues contient des caractères non supportés par le jeu, qui bascule alors vers une police "de secours", moche mais qui peut tout afficher.

Chose aberrante, alors que le français utilise un alphabet censé être géré par le jeu, Minecraft s'obstine à utiliser la police de secours ! La faute à un fichier de traduction créé ~~avec Word~~ un peu trop vite et qui contient des caractères "interdits".

Voici donc, et pour vous joueurs français de Minecraft, le fichier de langue corrigé qui vous permettra d'utiliser la vraie police de Minecraft !
Attention ce fichier est tiré de la version indiquée plus haut, sa compatibilité avec d'autres versions n'est pas assurée !
Je maintiendrai ce fichier à jour avec les sorties officielles de Minecraft uniquement, inutile de demander pour les snapshots.

Procédure d'installation

Téléchargez le fichier, ouvrez l'archive et enregistrez le fichier "fr-FR.lang" sur votre disque
Ouvrez le dossier de Minecraft. Vous le trouverez selon votre système d'exploitation :
_ Windows XP : Cocuments and SettingsNom-de-la-sessionApplication Data.minecraftbin
_ Windows Vista / 7 / 8 : C:UsersNom-de-la-sessionAppDataRoaming.minecraftbin
_ Mac OS / Linux : Si quelqu'un pouvait me donner le chemin d'accès, merci d'avance
Faites une copie de sauvegarde du fichier "minecraft.jar" (on ne sait jamais).
Ouvrez "minecraft.jar" avec WinRAR, 7zip ou votre logiciel habituel de gestion d'archives
Important - Supprimez le dossier "META-INF". Minecraft ne fonctionnera pas si vous modifiez le fichier sans supprimer ce dossier !
Ouvrez le dossier "lang", et placez-y le fichier téléchargé. Remplacez l'original si demandé.
Fermez toutes les fenêtres
Lancez Minecraft et appréciez les boutons et panneaux plus lisibles !

En cas de problème, n'hésitez pas à me contacter !

Minecraft uses a particular font to show texts in menu and on signs.
Some textures packs also include their own font which replace Minecraft's one when you're using them.

This works well when you use Minecraft in English language.

But, when you change the game language to your own, according to the selected language, the custom font is not used and replaced by a classic, ~~ugly~~ standard font.

The reason is simple: The Minecraft font is stored in a png file, which store the characters used by the game. So, if in your language texts, a character appears which doesn't figure in this list, Minecraft switch to the "emergency" font.

I don't like this font because it makes signs very unreadable, especially with custom texture packs.

And it's here that the problem appear: on some languages (like French, above) which use Latin alphabet, so standard characters, Minecraft still switches to the emergency font!

This tutorial will try to help you to fix that
Warning: the success is not guaranteed.
Please do not download the file, it contains only the French language...

This tutorial will not work if:
_ Your language use another alphabet than Latin (like Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic...). Minecraft only support Latin characters.
_ Your language contains special Unicode characters (lie Greek characters, as ß, you can find in Dutch for example).

You will need:
_ A software to manage ZIP archives. If you don't have one, try 7-zip (free) or WinRAR (paying)
_ A text editor. Windows Notepad can do the work, but text will be condensed. [Notepad++] is recommended.

1. Open the Minecraft directory. you will find it here (some folders may be hidden):
_ On XP: Cocuments and SettingsSession-nameApplication Data.minecraftbin
_ On Vista/7/8 : C:UsersSession-nameAppDataRoaming.minecraftbin
_ If someone could tell to me the path for Mac and Linux, thank you. I don't know this one

2. Copy the file "minecraft.bin" (in the "bin" folder) somewhere to create a backup. Then, with 7zip (or the equivalent you use), open it.

3. Important - If present, remove the folder "META-INF". Minecraft will not works if you modify files without removing this folder.

4. Open the "lang" folder. Inside it, find the file corresponding to your language. Then extract it to a temporary folder.

5. Open the language file with Notepad++, or your favorite text editor.

6. This file contains all strings used by Minecraft to show the game in your language. You will have to replace several characters to make the file compatible with the custom fonts. Use for that the "Search" and "Replace all" features of the text editor, and replace the characters in the following list:

a. Apostrophe. Some keyboards, some languages, some programs uses special apostrophes in their texts, like this one: ’. This character is not supported by Minecraft. Replace all special apostrophes by the default one: '

b. Indivisible space. What's this? It's a special character which appears like a space but is treated like a letter. It's used often with punctuation (.:-;,) in some languages. To make an indivisible space (on Windows), press Alt, type the code 255 on the numeric pad, then release Alt. You can also copy this one between brackets: " ". Replace them by classic spaces: " ".

c. Digraph. In some languages, in some cases, 2 letters are linked and create only one character. œ and æ and is an example. Replace all digraphs by their equivalent in separated letters.

d. Suspension points. Some softwares (Word for example) automatically replaces ... by an equivalent in one character: …. This version is not supported by Minecraft. Replace it with the basic version: ...

7. Save the file, and reinsert it at its location. Replace the existing one.

8. Close opened windows, then launch Minecraft. 3 cases can occur:

a. Minecraft starts, the font is now correctly showed. Congratulations, you did it! This tutorial is finished, now enjoy your new interface!

b. Minecraft starts, but still use the wrong font. Check the following points:
_ You may have not removed all special characters. Check the previous steps of this tutorial.
_ Your language contains other special characters that I don't know. If you have enough courage, check all strings manually.
_ Your language is not compatible with the Minecraft font.
_ Your didn't edit the file you use in the game, or you put the new one in a wrong location.

c. Minecraft doesn't start / Crashes / Shows a black screen. Check the following points:
_ You didn't remove the "META-INF" folder inside the archive.
_ A problem corrupted the game file. Restore the backup you made. If the problem persists, try to do a "force update" with the launcher.

My fields. A little more worked than in my previous world.

During a long time my problem was the center of the fields: too dark, it allowed monsters to spawn and destroy my plants. Fixed by placing Glowstone under the water. The light level is sufficient to prevent monster spawning.
I did this because I cannot expand anymore the fields size...

Rest Room Fields Enchantment Room (part 1)

Mes champs. Un peu plus travaillés que dans mon précédent monde.

Durant un long moment mon problème était le centre des champs : trop sombres, il permettait l'apparition des monstres qui saccageaient alors mes plantations. Problème résolu en plaçant de la Luminite sous l'eau. La niveau de luminosité reste suffisant pour empêcher l'apparition des monstres.
J'ai fait comme ça parce que je ne peux pas agrandir davantage les champs...

Mo'Creatures - This mod adds a huge variety of creatures and monsters to the game. The creatures can be tamable, passive, neutral, aggressive, biome-based, and can appear during day or night. The work is very good and I highly recommend it to add a little more life to Minecraft.

Museum (Part 2) Rest Room Fields

Mo'Creatures - Ce mod ajoute une énorme variété de créatures et monstres au jeu. Les créatures peuvent être tantôt adoptées, passives, neutres, agressives, basée sur le biome, voire montées. Le travail est excellent et je recommande fortement ce mod à ceux qui veulent ajouter plus de vie à Minecraft.

Juste le 1^er étage de mon usée... Car j'ai trouvé trop de donjons

Ici j'expose un exemplaire de chaque objet que je trouve dans les donjons, ainsi que les drops rares que j'obtiens des monstres.

Let's continue with something which people who followed my previous series already know: the Resources Room.
Rectangular instead of squared this time. Here, I stock all my resources (blocks, gems, tools, crafts etc.)
From the left near the camera and in the time direction:
_ Twilight Forest: all block and items coming from the Twilight Forest, a dimension added by the mod with the same name
_ Treasures: all rare items found in dungeons, and rare drops from monsters (1 of each only)
_ Tools, Weapons: as the name says, all my tools and weapons. And armors.
_ Blocks: these chests are very big chests (585 slots!) and contain all blocs.
_ Ores, Gems, Gem blocks: all valuable gems I found in this world
_ Food, Vegetables: all what I can eat or cultivate
_ In the back, in the golden display case, my Craft Guide
_ Crafts: all items I make, and which doesn't fit in other categories
_ Lightning: all what I use for the light of my base and paths: Glowstone and fences
_ Millénaire: a (now empty since I removed the mod) chest containing all items of the mod Millénaire
_ Mo'Creatures: a chest containing all items of the mod Mo'Creatures
_ Artworks: all wools and dyes...

Used mods:

Twilight Forest - Nothing to see with the film/book! This mod a a new dimension, with different kind of forests in a permanent twilight. And a lot of other things...
MultiPage Chest - This mod adds a very big chest which can contains 585 stacks. A standard large chest have only 54 slots...
CraftGuide - This mod adds a special book in the game. This book shows all recipes of the game, including furnace recipes and recipes from other mods. A search function allows to search a specifically recipe. Useful for people who cannot memorize all recipes (like me XD)
Mo'Creatures - This mod add a huge number of creatures in the game, which add life to Minecraft. A lot of them are tamable and I recommend it.

Continuons avec quelque chose que ceux qui ont suivi ma série précédente connaissent déjà : la Salle des Ressources.
Rectangulaire au lieu de carrée cette fois. Ici je stocke toutes mes ressources (blocs, gemmes, outils, crafts etc.)
De la gauche au pied de la caméra et dans le sens horaire :

_ Éclairage : tout ce que j'utilise pour l'éclairage de ma base et de mes routes : Luminite et barrières
_ Millénaire : un coffre contenant les objets provenant du mod Millénaire (maintenant vide, je n'utilise plus le mod)
_ Mo'Creatures: un coffre contenant les objets provenant du mod Mo'Creatures
_ Artworks: toutes les laines et teintures...

Mods utilisés :

Twilight Forest - Rien à voir avec le livre/film ! Ce mod ajoute une nouvelle dimension, avec plusieurs types de forêts. Et bien d'autres choses encore...
MultiPage Chest - Ce mod ajout un énorme coffre pouvant contenir jusqu'à 585 piles. Un coffre large standard renferme 54 slots...
CraftGuide - Ce mod ajoute un livre spécial dans le jeu. Ce livre permet de consulter tous les crafts possibles dans le jeu, y compris ceux des fourneaux et ceux des autres mods. Une fonction de recherche permet de filtrer la liste. Très utile pour ceux qui comme moi ont tendance à oublier comment on fait ceci ou cela XD
Mo'Creatures - Très célèbre, ce mod ajoute un paquet de nouvelles créatures, ajoutant de la vie à Minecraft. Beaucoup sont adoptables. Je le recommande vivement.

Let's go for another tour
With the 1.2.5 update, I started a new world a long time ago, named Utopia*.
Now I can show it to you :3

This base is a lot bigger than the previous one (about 100 blocks by side, the old was 40x40 blocks).

The texture pack I use is Mixcraft, a pack based on the same source than another I publish(ed) here.
You will need MCPatcher or Optifine to use this pack!

Cette base est bien plus grande que l'ancienne (à peu près 100 blocs de côté, contre 40 la première fois).

Le pack de textures que j'utilise est Mixcraft, un pack basé sur la même source que celui que je publie(ait) ici.
Vous aurez besoin de MCPatcher ou d'Optifine pour utiliser ce pack !

This theme customize the buttons toolbar, by giving a Metro style to the buttons. Works well with Windows 8

I made them from the font Segoe UI Symbol, also used by Windows 8, and according to what I saw from the last Windows 8 builds.

You can associate this theme with my Ribbon theme for the tabbar.

My review of Windows 8 Consumer Preview

Some days ago, I chose to give a chance to Windows 8. The changes can be disconcerting but once you are used to them, it's fine.
I didn't choose yet which theme to use, so it's the default "Nature" theme, because the current season is spring (at least in the northern hemisphere).

You can notice my program Ribbon Notepad works on it. The big update 1.3 is scheduled.

Below is my impressions of the system:

What I like

I've a dual-monitor system. Finally Windows adds natively a best management, with different wallpapers and a taskbar for each screen! This will avoid me to buy a shareware for this ^^

ISO files can be mounted into virtual drives without installing some invader like DaemonTools or Alcohol!

Windows Defender now integrates features of Security Essentials. In other words, Windows 8 comes with an integrated antivirus and antimalwares solution. Good point for neophytes who are lost with protection softwares. Of course you can install other software, Defender will be deactivated.

The Ribbon Explorer (I love ribbon softwares). Although it takes more place, commands are quicker accessible than older Windows with their menus. The Quick Access bar is very interesting for customizing your own shortcuts.

The "Win+X" menu (right click on the bottom left corner of the screen). It already has all shortcut I manually added in the Computer context menu in Windows 7.

The boot speed. Even with my SSD, I can see the difference with Windows 7. My best record with the Hybrid boot is 6 seconds to access the logon screen!

The new account system and settings synchronization. I'm not a multi-machines user, but I think it's a good thing to add only one account for all Microsoft products and services. However it could be a problem for people who don't have a permanent Internet connection.

Windows 8 doesn't let programs associate themselves to your files without asking you what to do. I spent so many time restoring associations that I can only approve this choice.

The new Task Manager. It really needed an improvement. I especially like the new "Start" section, to manage programs launched at login.

The Start screen showed at logon. It's a personnal choice: My Desktop contains only few icons, and the 1^st thing I did on older Windows was to open the Start menu. 1 click less.

Homegroups are still compatible with Windows 7 machines. Very good, I can still use my parent's printer!

The system weight. Be lighter than Windows 7? Mission completed with success.

File History, the new files backup system, seems more efficient than the old process, which bring me a lot of problems...

Windows 8 includes a PDF viewer. Cool and practical, especially when I will get an answer to the following question: how do you change the zoom level???

What I don't like

The separated search system. WTF is that? On Windows 7, typing in the Start menu searches in applications, documents and Control Panel settings at the same time! Why Microsoft didn't keep that in Windows 8?! Searching a document or a setting from the Metro interface multiply clicks by 3!!! Because the document search is not even in real-time, you must press Enter to start it!

Context menus are totally absent in the Metro search results. You want to know where a particular file is? Go away, or find it manually via an Explorer window.

The Aero style (I don't speak about Metro). Okay, squares are funny, but there is an exaggeration here, isn't it? I don't love Minecraft so much to add squares and cubes absolutely everywhere.

One feature I used on Windows 7 was the creation of system images, to quickly restore the full system in case of big problem. This is a real maze to find this in Windows 8!

How to close a Metro app? Place your cursor on the top left corner of the screen. A Metro app thumbnail will appear. Move your cursor along the left side to show all opened apps. Right click one of them and choose "Close". Seriously Microsoft, didn't are you able to find a more complicated way?

How to add other files and directories in the File History list? You cannot! Expect create libraries which include them. I hope it will be improved in the final version...

The Metro Internet Explorer (navigation in fullscreen) is completely disabled when you define another browser as default browser. Microsoft will never be fair-play with the concurrence -_-°

About the Metro interface

I didn't speak about the Metro interface itself, which is however the main Windows 8 new feature.
The reason is simple: I'm one of these who want an option to revert to the Windows 7 Start menu, at least on PC clients. However, I recreated all shortcuts I want in the Start screen, using it as a "fullscreen start menu", and I don't need Vistart or equivalents.
I can't say I like Metro, but I can't say I dislike it. I do my way with, or without.

Note about some extensions

2 things on my preview doesn't come from Windows 8:
Ribbon Notepad, my software (the window on the left screen). I spoke about it several times ago, check here for more info.

QTTabBar, an Explorer extension (second tabbar in the Explorer window, with 3 opened tabs). QTTabBar adds tabs navigation and a lot of other stuff. Works well on Windows XP/Vista/7/8. More info here.

Minecraft - Seasons pack

My friends and me use a seasons plugin on our private Minecraft server.
To add a little more realism to the plugin, I edited 2 files used by Minecraft to determine grass and leaves color (according to the biomes temperature and humidity).

Works with all versions and (almost) all texture packs!

Seasons list

Summer: Not included - It's the standard colors.
Autumn: Included. Leaves and grass become brown. Each biome has its own hue.
Winter: Included. Vegetation become "frozen". All biomes have the same hue.
Spring: Included. Same than Summer but with lighter colors.

How to install
_ Open the downloaded archive
_ Open "%AppData%\.minecraft\texturepacks"*
_ Create 3 copies of the texture pack you want to "seasonize" (ZIP file) and rename them
_ In each copy, inject "foliagecolor.png" and "grasscolor.png" from a season into the folder "misc" in the texture pack archive. Replace existing files if needed.
_ Launch Minecraft and select your season in the texture packs list
_ Enjoy!
_{If you don't find the folder, launch Minecraft, go to "Texture Packs" and click "Open texture pack folder"}

Mes amis et moi utilisons un plug-in de saisons sur notre serveur privé Minecraft.
Pour ajouter un petit peu de réalisme aux saisons, j'ai édité 2 fichiers utilisés par Minecraft pour déterminer la couleur de l'herbe et des feuilles (par rapport à la température et à l'humidité du biome).

Liste des saisons

Été : Non inclus - ce sont les couleurs standards.
Automne : Inclus. L'herbe et les feuilles deviennent brunes. Chaque biome a sa propre teinte.
Hiver : Inclus. La végétation devient "gelée". Tous les biomes ont la même teinte.
Printemps : Inclus. Pareil que l'été mais avec des couleurs plus claires.

Instructions d'installation
_ Ouvrez l'archive téléchargée
_ Créez 3 copies du pack de textures que vous voulez "saisonniser" (fichier zip) et renommez-les
_ Dans chaque copie, injectez "foliagecolor.png" et "grasscolor.png" d'une saison dans le dossier "misc" du pack de textures. Remplacez les fichiers existants si besoin.
_ Lancez Minecraft et sélectionnez une saison dans la liste des packs de textures
_ Appréciez !

F-Extract

I created this little tool initially to answer to a personal need. But maybe you will find it useful too ^^

Often, when I download archives and extract their content, I get a lot of folders, sub-folders, sub-sub-folders etc. and huge useless trees.

Problem: to make the content of a folder "go up", I have to:
Open the folder
Select all files
Cut or copy them
Go back to the parent folder
Paste files
Delete the old folder

Or I've to open a second Explorer window.
Not very convenient.

It's why I created F-Extract, which automates the process. This program add an entry in the context menu of folders: "Extract content".
By clicking this option, you launch the program for the selected folder(s).

You can also use the portable version of F-Extract, which works by drag-n-drop of folders on its window.
The archive contains both installer (in EXE format) and portable version (in RAR format).

Features
_ Allows to make a folder content go up without opening it.
_ If moving the files requires administrator rights, F-Extract will ask for them automatically. However it won't show an UAC alert.
_ Keep Shift during the operation to not delete the old folder and keep it empty.
_ If some files/folders have the same name, F-Extract will not move them to preserve file replacement or data loss.

Configuration needed
_ Windows XP / Visa / 7 / 8 (x86 or x64)
_ .Net Framework 4 or higher
_ Available in English or French (for Vista or higher, XP users will have English interface)

Je partage ici un mini-programme que j'avais conçu à l'origine pour répondre à un besoin personnel. Mais peut-être le trouverez-vous utile aussi ^^

Souvent, il m'arrive d'empiler les dossiers, sous-dossiers, sous-sous-dossiers et de former des arbres monstres qui le plus souvent ne servent à rien, en particulier après téléchargement d'archives.

Problème : pour faire "remonter" le contenu d'un dossier dans son dossier parent, on est obligé de :
Ouvrir le dossier en question
Sélectionner tous les éléments
Les couper ou les copier
Revenir au dossier parent
Coller les éléments
Supprimer le vieux dossier vide

Ou alors on doit ouvrir une deuxième fenêtre de l'explorateur.
Pas des plus commodes à mon goût.

C'est pourquoi j'ai créé F-Extract, qui automatise ce processus. Ce programme ajoute une entrée dans le menu contextuel des dossiers : "Extraire le contenu"
En cliquant sur cette option, vous lancez le programme sur le ou les dossiers sélectionnés.

Vous pouvez aussi utiliser la version portable du logiciel qui fonctionne par un cliquer-déposer des dossiers sur son interface.
L'archive à télécharger contient l'installeur (format EXE) et la version portable (format RAR)

Fonctionnalités
_ Permet de remonter en un clic le contenu d'un dossier sans l'ouvrir.
_ Si le déplacement des fichiers nécessite des droits d'administrateur, F-Extract les demandera automatiquement. Autrement il fonctionnera sans afficher d'alerte UAC.
_ Maintenez MAJ pendant l'opération pour ne pas supprimer le dossier sélectionné (et ainsi le conserver vide).
_ Si plusieurs fichiers ont le même nom, F-Extract ne les déplacera pas, afin d'éviter l'écrasement de fichier ou la perte de données.

Configuration requise
_ Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 (x86 ou x64)
_ .Net Framework 4 ou supérieur
_ Disponible en Français et Anglais (Vista et supérieur, les utilisateurs d'XP n'auront que l'Anglais)

15-puzzle - Elly's Edition

Some people give drawings for their friend's birthday.
I don't know to draw. But I know to program!

This is a gift for , I hope you will like it! Happy birthday (1 day too late, I know)

It's a 15-puzzle game (and also my first game created with Visual Studio). _{I don't even know if you like this kind of games, I hope I'm not wrong.}

Use the red button to proceed to the game steps:
1) Shuffles the tiles. The number of moves is defined by the corresponding option at the middle right of the window.
2) Start the game! Shows the picture (you can see it before if you want) and starts the stopwatch. After that the red button is used to pause the game.

Right click the tiles to change the picture and enable/disable tiles borders.

Currently I filled the pictures folder with the pictures you given, but if you want to change, just copy the images you want in the folder and start the game!

I think I said all. Have fun!

The best: Sonic Advance Breakout - Result of almost one year of work, this game is without question the most developed game I've ever made!
The worst: MyLabs - I'm not proud of this game. Ugly, very bad difficulty evolution... But I was a beginner ^^°
The easiest: 1 hour of "work" - How I did this? Just by running an app for 1 hour and using my PC as usual. How difficult!

My fav ID: Shutdown Delayer - Not really an ID, I now, but I had to keep only one of my softwares, it would be it (just before Ribbon Notepad). From all my programs, it's the one I use the most.

La plus facile: 1 heure de "travail" - Comment je l'ai fait ? Juste en faisant tourner un outil pendant 1 heure en utilisant mon ordi comme d'habitude. Que c'était difficilie !
La plus : Roi de piques - On peut voir ici le succès de Shadow :3
Mon ID favori : Shutdown Delayer - Pas vraiment un ID, je sais, mais si je ne devais conserver qu'un seul de mes logiciels, ce serait celui-ci (juste avant Ribbon Notepad). De tous mes programmes, c'est celui que j'utilise le plus.

I discovered the Portal games several months ago, and they are two of my favorites games!
So I wanted to make a theme based on Aperture Science, the company which created GlaDOS and the Enrichment Center...
I'm not a graphic artist, nor a theme designer, so my theme will use Aero visual style, but the installer can modify more things than the theme files managed by Windows 7.

It includes:
Wallpaper
Aero color
Cursors
Desktop icons (Computer, Network, User, Recycle Bin)
Screensaver
Sounds¹
User Folders and Libraries icons²
~~Start menu orb~~ - Broken, you will get black screen if you install this.
Logon screen background

This theme do not modify any system file! All customizations are made by modifying fully reversible settings.

When you show the add-on page in Firefox 4 or higher, the navigation bar (and the personal bar if you show it) disappear.

For me, it's sometimes unpleasant because I often want to go to a new URL or search and I don't want to close and re-open the tab each time.

So, there is a tip to keep navigation bar when you surf on the add-on page: actually, this page has an internal address, like the famous "about:config".

So type "chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/extensions.xul" (without "") in the adresse bar and press Enter. Enjoy!

You can also add the address to you personal bar and use it as a Add-on button

Compatible with Firefox 4 and higher.

Lorsque vous affichez la page des extensions sous Firefox 4 ou plus, la barre de navigation (et la barre personnelle si vous l'affichez) disparaissent.

Pour moi, c'est assez gênant car je veux souvent aller vers un autre site ou recherche, et je n'ai pas envie de fermer et rouvrir l'onglet à chaque fois.

Voici donc une astuce pour conserver la barre de navigation lorsque vous "surfez" dans les extensions : cette page possède en fait une adresse interne, tout comme le célèbre "about:config".

Il vous suffit donc de taper "chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/extensions.xul" (sans "") dans la barre d'adresse et de valider avec Entrée. Enjoy!

FlipCorner, as its name suggests, allows you to quickly execute a Flip 3D, moving the cursor to one of the screen corners.

Flip 3D is an effect of Windows Vista ans Windows 7 to switch between the Desktop and opened applications.

You can choose which corners will activate the Flip, the size of the activation area, and the delay during which you will have to keep the cursor in the area. You can also start FlipCorner with Windows, or temporary disable it via the notification area.
Default settings are displayed in preview.

The Sonic Advance Breakout site is currently in reconstruction, so I post here.

Let me show you the portable edition of Sonic Advance Breakout!

How to use it?
Very simple!
The file of the archive is an extractor. Launch it and select the folder in which copy the game files. You will get 2 folders (App and Data) and 1 application (Sonic Advance Breakout).
Launch the application to start the game. Do not modify the folders content, and do not delete them, they contain essentials files to make the game work!

Why a portable edition?
The standard edition of Sonic Advance Breakout is installable. This means that you have to execute an installer, with administrator's rights, which will create files, shortcuts and links on your system to make the game work on it.
Also, your game is linked to the computer, and if you use another machine, you will not have Sonic Advance Breakout, unless you install it too.

The portable edition doesn't need to be installed. You can launch it immediately, and, if you put the files on a USB key, your game will stay on the key and you will be able to play whatever the machine you're using! More, the portable edition no leave trace on the system.

So is the installable edition useless?
Wrong, wrong, wrong. The portable edition is a complement, not a replacement for the installable version. The second have functions that the one have not. There are little differences between the 2 editions:
The portable edition take more time to start. The difference is only in seconds but I think it's useful for you to know.
The installable edition configures Windows to open levels files directly from Windows Explorer. Not the portable. If you want to load levels with the portable SAB, you will have to open them from the software
The Level Editor cannot be open without the main game. This condition is necessary to allow the program to clean the system after closing SAB.
The update system was deactivated. You will still be notified about new versions, but you will have to download them manually. The portable edition have the same version number than the standard version.
All other parts are identical

I've already installed SAB. Can I use the portable edition on the same computer?
Yes.
Your game and progressions with the installed edition will not be deleted. However the portable edition will not use the progression you have with the installed one. They are different.

C'est très simple !

Faux, faux et faux. L'édition portable est un complément, et non un remplacement de l'édition installable. La seconde a des fonctions que n'a pas la première. Il y a des différences entre les 2 éditions :
L'édition portable est plus longue à démarrer. La différence se chiffre en secondes mais je pense qu'il est utile que vous le sachiez.
L'édition installable configure Windows pour ouvrir les niveaux directement à partir de l'Explorateur. Pas la portable. Si vous voulez charger un niveau avec SAB portable, vous devrez le faire à partir du logiciel.
L'Éditeur de niveaux ne peut pas être ouvert sans le jeu principal. Cette condition est nécessaire pour éviter la pollution du système par les données du jeu.
Le système de mise à jour a été désactivé. Vous serez toujours avertis de la sortie des nouvelles versions, mais vous aurez à les télécharger manuellement. L'édition portable utilise les même n° de version que l'édition standard.
Tout le reste ne change pas

J'ai déjà installé SAB. Puis-je utiliser l'édition portable sur le même ordinateur ?
Oui.
Votre partie avec l'édition installée ne sera pas perdue. Toutefois ce n'est pas celle-ci que vous utiliserez avec la version portable. Elles sont différentes.

Shutdown Delayer allows you to plan a computer shutdown, restart, sleep, or other actions after an interval of time.

S-Disabler is a little tool which can deactivate temporarily the screensaver, the monitor extinction and the computer sleep.
Very useful if you want to keep an eye on a long operation without staying all the time in front of the computer.

S-Disabler can also turn off and on the Aero interface. Disabling Aero frees some system resources for big operation such as video creation or games.

S-Disabler exploits the last features of Windows 7: Aero effects and JumpLists. The program has Aero effects and its own JumpList, thanks to it you can activate/deactivate the software functions in one clic.
For Vista users, S-Disabler also has an icon in the notification area, which provides the same shortcuts. You can reduce the program in this area too.

Don't panic for closing without restoring settings: the program will warn you in this case, and will restore automatically your display settings when you close it.

Important: S-Disabler can deactivate and reactivate Aero, but it will not activate it if Windows didn't enabled it (because your machine is not enough powerful, some programs are incompatible etc.)

How to exploit all available space in Firefox 4 on Windows XP (stupid title limitation ¬¬)

Once will not hurt, this deviation is recommended to... XP users
Especially Firefox 4 users on Windows XP. But it should work on Vista and 7 too (not tested).

Did you notice that the almost whole browser titlebar is empty? How lost space! Especially on netbooks!

To fix that, I'm my own way, created from existing (but not perfect) solutions... Follow the guide!

What you modified following this tutorial:
_ Initial extension puts tabs on title bar, but when the window is maximized, tabs were off-screen. Our modifications disabled the extension on maximized window, because Firefox beta 8 and higher do the same natively
_ Removed empty spaces between Firefox button and tabs, and between tabs and window buttons (Minimize/Maximize/Close)

Une fois n'est pas coutume, cette deviation est recommandée aux utilisateurs... d'XP
Plus spécialement des utilisateurs de Firefox 4 sur XP. Cependant ça devrait fonctionner sous Vista et 7 (non testé).

Avez-vous remarqué que la quasi-totalité de la barre de titre du navigateur est vide ? Que de place perdue ! En particulier sur les netbooks!

Pour corriger cela, j'ai ma propre solution, créé à partir de l'existant (mais imparfait)... Suivez le guide !
Et pour les anglophobes, les étapes en sous-titré XD :

1-La fenêtre de Firefox 4 "normale", sans les menus. Beaucoup de place perdue !

2-Téléchargez la version de Stylish compatible avec la dernière bêta de Firefox

3-Redémarrage de Firefox

4-Allez à l'adresse indiquée

5-Cochez les options comme vous voulez ou comme sur la capture si vous ne savez pas que choisir.
Installez ensuite grâce au bouton en haut de page

6-Nous allons corriger quelques bugs. Cliquez sur "Éditer".
Si vous ne me croyez pas, cliquez sur "Installer", vous verrez bien...

7-Trouvez cette zone dans le code, et centrez-vous sur le texte sélectionné

8-Remplacez les valeurs existantes par celles de la capture

9-Copiez les 2 dernières lignes, et collez-les dans le paragraphe précédent. Puis remplacez les valeurs par celles affichées

10-Copiez le texte sélectionné

11-Et collez-le à chaque paragraphe vus dans la capture (pas plus !), devant les ":"

12-Cliquez sur "Enregistrer", installez si demandé

13-L'espace libre est occupé, mais la fenêtre est un peu dure à déplacer, n'est-ce pas ?

14-Allez à l'adresse indiquée

15-Installez cette extension aussi

16-Cliquez sur le bouton "Installer" cette fois (s'il ne s'affiche pas, cliquez d'abord sur "Allez à l'installation")

17-Vous pouvez maintenant déplacer la fenêtre via ses barre d'outils. Enjoy !

Ce que vous avez modifié avec ce tutoriel :
_ L'extension initiale place les onglets sur la barre de titre, mais si la fenêtre est agrandie, les onglets se retrouvent hors-écran ! Nos modifications ont désactivé l'extension lorsque la fenêtre est agrandie, car Firefox bêta 8 et supérieur font la même chose nativement
_ Suppression des espaces vides entre le bouton Firefox et les onglets à gauche, et entre les onglets et les boutons de fenêtre (Réduire/Agrandir/Fermer) à droite

What does this tool do?
If you have only 1 session on your PC, or if you're the main user, you can configure Windows to open automatically your session at start-up, even if it's protected by password.
Just fill the fields with the correct username and password, and click "Activate"!

So this program remember my password. And what about security?
It's right. If you worries about your computer security, you can check the "Lock session" check-box of the program. So, just after your session starts, Windows will immediately lock it, so nobody can access your files without your password!

Open a session and lock it just after and reopen it with password? Totally useless!
WRONG! A lot of programs start automatically when you open your session, and not before!
When your session is locked, it's still open! So these programs are loaded in background while you're typing your password (or waiting for you coming back in front of your computer).
The final result is a faster access to the Desktop and your files.

Finally, what configuration must I have and what languages are available?
Springs AutoLogon works on Windows Vista and Windows 7. It have been tested on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.
The software should work in Windows XP, but without guarantee. I cannot test.
You also need the .NET Framework 2.0 or later. If you have Vista/7, you already have it.
Springs Autorun is available in English and French. The language is automatically detected and applied*.

Que fait cet outil ?
Si vous avez 1 seule session sur votre PC, ou si vous êtes de loin le(la) principal(e) utilisateur(trice), vous pouvez configurer Windows pour qu'il ouvre automatiquement votre session au démarrage, même si celle-ci est protégée par mot de passe.
Remplissez simplement les champs avec les nom d'utilisateur et mot de passe corrects, et cliquez sur "Activer" !

Donc, ce programme retient mon mot de passe. Et quid de la sécurité ?
C'est juste. Si vous vous inquiétez pour la sécurité de votre ordinateur, vous pouvez cocher la case "Verrouiller la session" du programme. Ainsi, juste après le démarrage de votre session, Windows la verrouillera immédiatement, alors personne ne pourra accéder à vos fichiers sans votre mot de passe !

Ouvrir une session et la verrouiller juste après, pour la ré-ouvrir avec son mot de passe ? Complètement inutile !
FAUX ! Beaucoup de programmes se lancent automatiquement lorsque vous ouvrez votre session, et pas avant !
Lorsque votre session est verrouillée, elle est toujours ouverte ! Donc ces programment se chargent en arrière-plan pendant que vous entrez votre mot de passe (ou que vous reveniez devant l'ordinateur).
Le résultat final est un accès plus rapide au Bureau et à vos fichiers.

Finalement, quelle configuration dois-je avoir et quelles langues sont disponibles ?
Springs AutoLogon fonctionne sous Windows Vista et Windows 7. Il a été testé sur les plate-formes 32-bit et 64-bit.

Here is my "contribution" for Christmas.

Catch the gifts!, my game for Christmas 2010, is a little game in which you have to get all falling gifts (but not the black ones, it would be too easy ), and to make the best score.

For each lost gift, you will lose a life. No more life, game over!

Your movements will increase a loading bar. When this bar is filled, an effect is randomly chosen. Most of these effects will increase game speed and difficulty. It's wanted, to have a game not too long!

Last thing: the music was made by one of my IRL friends, Pakua. Thanks to him. ^^
It will change with the game speed and difficulty.

Catch the Gifts!, mon jeu pour Noël 2010, est un petit jeu dans lequel vous devez récupérer tous les cadeaux qui tombent (mais pas les noirs, sinon c'est trop facile ), et faire le meilleur score.

Pour chaque cadeau perdu, vous perdrez une vie. Plus de vie, game over !

Vos mouvements augmenteront une barre de chargement. Quand la barre sera pleine, un effet sera tiré au hasard. La plupart de ces effets augmenteront la vitesse et la difficulté du jeu. C'est voulu, pour ne pas avoir de partie trop longue !

Dernière chose : la musique a été faite par un de mes amis IRL, Pakua. Un grand merci à lui. ^^
Elle change automatiquement avec la vitesse et la difficulté du jeu.

Amusez-vous bien, et joyeux Noël à toutes et à tous !

Sonic Advance Breakout is a game based on the Sonic Advance series (on GameBoy Advance), merging with the Breakout universe. Once again, the evil Dr Eggman, mad scientist with a 300 I.Q and Sonic the Hedgehogs arch nemesis, is coming back with a new plan to take over the world! Sonic Advance Breakout est un jeu qui reprend le principe de la série des Sonic Advance (sortis sur GameBoy Advance), en le mélangeant à l'univers du casse-briques.

Une fois de plus, le diabolique Dr. Eggman, savant fou au QI de 300 et grand ennemi de Sonic le Hérisson, revient avec un nouveau plan pour dominer le monde ! Cette fois-ci, il a décidé de remodeler l'environnement, en l'enfermant dans un monde de briques afin d'étouffer la population ! Sonic pourra-t-il sauver le monde de cette nouvelle menace, tout en délivrant ses amis faits prisonniers par le terrible docteur ?
