The Avengers

A thank you gift for a great friend She loves the Avengers.

So when I started this I thought Iron Man was going to kick my ass, and while I wasn't happy with the initial sketch I made of him, it was Captain America who dragged me to hell and back. His costume was surprisingly tough to draw. I know I didn't draw his mask, this wasn't due to laziness or because I couldn't do it, but because I really enjoyed the actor's wavy, bouncy and worthy of a l'oreal commercial, hair. So I wanted to draw it. THOR IS SO PRETTY. I have a minor crush on the Black Widow. AND then Hawkeye, metal man! LOKI....

Here are a few of =Kuneria's works with Zuzu present:

Reading up on the character I held onto a couple of keywords and just went from there: He likes purple, frogs and has a strong sweet tooth

So I started out with a regular, real life looking frog, but found it to be really boring. Then I remembered the frog design in Disney's: The princess and the frog and was like HUZZAH.

'Once upon a time' is an AWESOME show!
The title is a quote from Mr. Gold; "It appears I've been robbed." Something he says in the episode where Belle first is introduced. I was watching that episode while drawing this so I could get their faces and clothes right. It was a LOT of fun to color greenish skin with gold speckles

This one's for Kairi Hansen, ~ZellyKat's little girl!

You can find Ariel chillin' over at the bottom left, Snow singing at her pretty birds at the bottom right, Kairi ruling the universe in the center, Sleeping B sleeping in a cozy little bubble at the top left, a ssst-fied Mushu squaring off with a ssst-fied Jasmine tiger at the top right and then as to not forget the other princesses, you may find Sally's pumpkins in the top along with Belle's roses and Cinder's shoes are shoved somewhere between Ariel and Snow - An Alice in wonderland mention was made through the pocket watch completely at the top left And then finally, to not forget Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Neverland, a quote from the animation's song: 'The second star to the right, shines in the night, telling you that the dreams you plan can come true. And if it's Neverland you need, it's light will lead you there' (on the banner behind Kairi).

Genesis vs Sephiroth

I have known about Sephiroth as a character for a while. I haven't played against him in final fantasys but I tried (and failed) beating him in Kingdom Hearts Genesis though, I was introduced to him recently and saw the clip of him fighting Sephy in crisis core and went all SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Cause he's so damn pretty.

Sketch in photoshop, lineart+base colors+shades+highlights in illustrator, some added shades+highlights+texture and final touches in photoshop

I had my brother test with a cooking spatula if the swing Sephy is about to pull off is possible, and it is.

This one is for - he and his team mate ~aliceupsidedown won the "art merges with literature" contest at #KHClub - and they both got to request a drawing from me

So this was a lot of fun. Finding a fanart piece I did and felt like revamping was tricky, ended up going far back into art I made and rather forget at this point, but it's allll part of the progress, right? So yeah, I landed on a piece I made in 2005:

Good times Anyway, my re-interpretation/revamp is obviously the drawing you're viewing!

It's a fanart of Rapunzel, the way I pictured her when reading the Grimm Fairy tales - not the Disney version I kept the same format as I put it in 2005 and played with the hair like I did then. I remember trying to touch the 'Art Nouveau' style when working on the 2005 version (I failed, but that's okay ), and so I kept that thought somewhat in mind while working on this 2011 version!

I'm pleased with it! Hope you all enjoy as well

Hesitate

The fighters over at #theEpics threw all their throphees into the ring and well... Nobody except me and `brgtt are fighting yet, but we hope some of the fighters will be motivated!

So, to show the way a little and for fun more then anything, my battle piece against `brgtt. It's a quickie battle, we only had a couple of hours until the deadline we forced onto ourselves

Trophy: Superman
Deadline: 30th december 6am - It's 5:10 am right now, my brain is melting.
Theme: "Medieval Ninjas! We're going for an Assassin's Creed feel here."

So an Assassin from Assassin's Creed. It was a lot of fun. I called it hesitate because they have to jump of extremely high stuff ....... I don't have fear of heights but whoooooosh. So I wanted to draw a hesitating assassin.

Prelude Fight 2

I made Prelude Fight a couple of months ago and had so much fun making it that it has been itching at me since then to draw another one of these

So here's Prelude Fight Number 2!

Dante VS Dante - Dante in red falling down is from Devil may cry, and the one at the bottom looking quite medieval is Dante from Dante's Inferno. Both characters were awesome to draw, Dante's inferno's Dante was particularly evil to get!

I paired these two characters together in a - about to happen - fight for *Jace-Z - There was talk of characters in Prelude Fight. So the drawing is a gift to him!

Prince of Persia vs Assassin's Creed
This was maaaajor fun to do! Been wanting to draw Altair for a while now and after the first sketch I tried of him I tossed it out and started over and I was like heeeey lets add yummie prince of persia. So I did. Who'd win in your opinion?

Moraine

For a friend (~kaname-chan), cuz he reached his writing deadline on time!

This is Moraine, character from the series "Wheel of time" by Robert Jordan. I used the description made for Moraine in the first book "The eye of the world."

Moraine description page 26-27 of the eye of the world by Robert Jordan.
Dark hair falling in soft rinklets. Her cloak a sky blue velvet, silver embroidery, leaves and vines and flowers all along the edges.
Here dress gleamed faintly as she moved, a darker blue than the cloak. A necklace heavy gold links hung around her neck. Another gold chain around her head, supported a small sparkling blue stone in the middle of her forehead. A wide belt of woven gold circled her waist.

I actually looked up "Wheel of time" jewelry on the internet, so her necklace and head piece are the actual "Moraine jewelry" described in the book. References for the jewelry I found on this site: [link]

After The Spell - Key of light, Key of knowledge, key of valor. (Nora Roberts Novels.)
_{I was reading a series of books, and I got really hooked.
There's this whole tricky thing about gods and goddesses.
3 women have to each find a key to free a goddess who's soul got locked up.
Anyway, There's painting's in the book, not actual images but part of the story, explained in detail, who give clues to those 3 women, and portays those 3 goddesses.
After putting down the first book, I wanted to see if the author based it on an already existing painting, or if a painting had been made out of it. I found neither.
I don't consider myself Michelangelo or Da Vinci talent, but I felt like giving it a shot.

Daughters of Glass - Key of light, Key of knowledge, key of valor. (Nora Roberts Novels.)
I was reading a series of books, and I got really hooked.

Peter Pan and Captain Hook

Im having fun with these, continueing the series of characters i enjoy. (Takeo & Kaede [link] , Sookie Stackhouse & Bill Compton [link] )

This obviously isn't a loving couple compared to the other drawings, but I figured that Hook and Peter's hatred is so very passionate, it's strong enough to compete

I realize Hook is usually portrayed as a much older man, but it's Peter who thinks Hook is old as he's so frightened of growing up; So in my head Peter sees Hook much older than he really is. So of course Hook is older, but in this drawing I didn't want him to be the old man he's usually portrayed as, instead I aimed for 25-26.

(It is rather difficult to make a grave yard look romantic)

I was re-reading the Otori series
