More in the Clockwork Pulse series. Wil and I are actually running through the Chinese zodiac yes. This one is in honor of Year of the Dragon.

Noke enjoys the Mystical Realms surrounding Asia and high places. This usually means that, goddess though she is; she will suffer from the affliction of bringing home a horde of creatures that she hadn't intended to keep. The dragons just like her because she smells good though; they're immune to that slightly hypnotic thing she has going on with her powers.

So I was excited as all frack when Wil showed me the sketch for this. Then I was totally stressed out because I didn't think I would ever be able to come up with a color scheme cool enough to match. Then I found the right colors for it and now I am full of joy xD

Should I officially check the warning box for Nexus' potty mouth? Ah well. She'd under a bit of stress.

Another warm-up before I get to the longer stuff. Also, sleep continues to elude me. I wonder if I should take something.

I figure I'm not going to continue this fic as a steady stream of chapters, but I can throw the occasional short story up here as the inspiration hits me. Mmmyep.

Once again, apologies for any grammar errors and typos; I generally finish these things at three in the morning and then don't bother proofing them.

The third son in line for a mafia succession, Ghost is one of the main antagonists in my Crows comic. He is a black albino, who, despite not having pigmentation in his skin, hair and eyes, and easily harmed by direct UV light, has gotten past his weaknesses and now runs a large part of the criminal underworld.

His real name is ridiculously girly so he keeps it under wraps. The name "Ghost" came from what childhood bullies used to call him before he snapped one day and put three of them in the hospital and one in the morgue. That caused quite a bit of paperwork.

I have no idea how to pull off the bone/facial structure of an African American, even if Ghost is only half. I apologize for my lack of ethnic drawing skills.

So I've gotten like 12 pages done, but I realize that webcomics don't make money and I have too much to do to keep up with it in between doing prints and commissions and having two real jobs, so until I am more financially sound (or less greedy), I'll just put up these little side-panels from the real story, give you guys a taste of the characters and get me used to drawing them.

This is the first time I've created a "cute" type character...and now she is too cute to stop drawing. xD

Anyways, full Bio:

Age: 187 (both of them) (she’s aging…she’s just aging reaaaaally realllly slowly)

Species: Half human, half shadow demon
Nationality: Japanese

Personality:
A bit absent-minded. Trying to get home, but likes to stop and smell the flowers. Generally nice to people unless they’re mean to her, in which case she pouts and sulks a lot (what a wuss lol), and Brimm cusses them out. xD

She considers fighting a healthy and fun sport but she doesn’t like fighting humans because she doesn’t like injuring people too much. She’s very touchy-feely and likes hugging people and animals and holding hands. She used to like piggy-back rides when she was little, but with those two chains on her ankles, there’s like no one who can pick her up anymore >_>

She hates seeing nice people get hurt and will step in the way even if it means getting injured herself. But since she has friends on both ends of the spectrum (both demons and humans), she’s getting more used to it. She understands demons need blood/ flesh/etc, so she makes sure she’s not around when they have to go, um…hunting. If she seems them, she has to stop them, she can’t help herself. xD

History:
Jackie's powers were sealed into a cloak when she was a baby since her mother took her to live in the human realm. She lived there until she was 15, then accidentally put on the hoodie jacket she found in the attic, which was basically her demon powers and personality, all in a little silken bundle. She is damn near invulnerable when wearing Brimm, but just a rather clumsy, blind, eternally lost girl with her off. Well, she's still clumsy, blind and eternally lost with Brimm on, but at least she can be stupid without worrying about dying.

Powers:
Brimm can only use her powers while Jackie is wearing her, but she can mold the shadow material that makes her up into anything she likes and she can steal bits of other shadows to mend herself when she gets torn. She can also talk to shadows, gather information, etc. Jackie hasn’t discovered all the powers yet, there are probably more.

Jackie is stronger than she looks. Those chains on her ankles weigh about a hundred pounds each, getting hit with one would break a few ribs. She's a pretty good fighter...she just....trips a lot >_> She likes doing acrobatics while fighting and is very flexible. The retractable scythe is a gift from her father, although she doesn’t remember much about him.

She’s just about immortal; she only takes Brimm off when she’s taking a bath…or mending Brimm the old-fashioned way (only occurs while Brimm is unconscious); with a needle. xD Without Brimm, she can die just like any other human…actually, more easily since she’s blind as well.

Also, Brimm ate Jakie's eyes (long story), so she can share sight with Jackie, but Jackie is blind without her on. When Brimm and Jackie share sight, they are temporarily melded into one personality( the “complete” personality), which has Jackie's human morals and mercy, but with Brimm's penchant for rudeness and ass-kickery.

Strengths:
Determination/ will. Adaptable, can fight in all kinds of terrain. Oh, and Jackie has amazing puppy face for when she wants her way. xD This is an ability that makes Brimm want to throw up every time is it used. xD

Weaknesses: Poisons. Either by inhalation or ingestion. She’s very sensitive to anything polluting her breathing space.

Likes: Fighting, discovering new powers, taking walks, humans, Chinese food, cats.
Dislikes: Tripping.

Brimm
Likes: Cats, taking naps, bullying Jackie, fighting with Jackie, Jackie.

Three's Company

I created a new OC to be part of my regulars group ^-^ The one with the silver white hair. His name is Ash. His eyes change color depending on his mood so this is just one aspect of him. I haven't worked out all his background details yet, but I'm pretty sure he's a god. He's also a touch clairvoyent/touch telepath, thus the gloves.

Tyrine is physically human, and to keep up with the company she keeps; has to wear armor at all times. The bandages have spells written on them. Usually they're that unobtrusive gray color, but they glow red when they're being used. They are resistant to all elemental extremes and most forms of magick. The bad side is that they're a bugger to put on in the morning. Also, Tyrine was born mute. The charms on the bandages allow her to speak. When she's not wearing them; a small charmed necklace has the same effect. When she's devoid of magick items, she can't speak.

Kayn is...well; you all know my psychotic, fun-loving, skirt-chasing muse with the devil-may-care attitude ^^'

Ash and Tyrine were flipping through an old book of spells they found in his attic; and of course, Kayn (being the annoying prick that he is) just had to come and bother them/ join in the fun.

Doubles as an entry to the OC art jam that is holding ^-^

Thirty or so? -_-' ) are just myself and Kayn, with our names and appearances tweaked a bit…well, my name and appearance anyways. Kayn is a shape shifter and he’s too arrogant to let me change his name so that’s that. -_-‘ In this ficverse, Tier (I just rearrange the letters in my name usually) is a witch being haunted by a particularly annoying but unfortunately powerful demon, Kayn.

Now he's even more popular with the girls than ever before....which is a shame... since he only likes boys. But oh well.

Oooookay, so i've decided that I'm probably never going to revisit that Cobra fic I started as, as such, it can't do any harm to give away some of the plotline and backstory I've had in my head for Nexus.

Name: Nexus (Real name: Amy Law)
Nationality: Vietnamese American
Height: 5'7
Weight: 135 lbs

Backstory:
Amy Law was part of a series of experiments conducted by a Decepticon science squadron which had its base near the Mojave desert. Her cells were killed off slowly with radiation and preserved on the point of death with a solution of energon and dark matter particles. She was brought back with a chip in her brain which acts as a direct neural-link between her and the Decepticon known as Oppenheimer (pictured above harassing Nexus) (a Pretender who can basically pass for human, if not observed too closely, and the scientist who "killed" her), thus the guiding voice in her head. he can control her through the link if necessary, but she's slowly getting used to and fighting it.

Upon her awakening, she remembers her previous life only as fragments and data, without emotional attachment, and so was placed into a situation that made her suspicious enough to catch the Cobra orginization's attentions, leading to Chapter One of our story.

As for the cliffhanger I left in that chapter; she awakens as a Decepticon sleeper agent and meets "the voice in her head". There's a fight between Oppenheimer and the underwater Cobra base, which is interrupted by the Joes; forcing them to co-operate temporarily. And they become eventual allies (tensely so) with Nexus as a mediator.

Powers: She has an idetic memory thanks to the chip in her head, and she is slightly technopathic. She can be stronger and faster than most humans, but only for limited amounts of time (namely, after ingesting energon; it's like doping)...and it makes her all sore afterward.

I had an entire thing in my head where her family would have been in on the plot that allowed her to become a lab rat to the Decepticons in the first place...and then I got caught up in some other fandoms and it got lost>_>

Iknowiknow, the Decepticons didn't actually show up in this chapter, I am a bad person for fooling you with that symbol up thar, I'm sorry. >_>

But depending on how much of a positive response I get for this little ficlet, I may continue it, so you may get your decepticon fix yet.

So I was nerding out with Wil over the Joeverse while I was writing this and his response to my proclamation that Cobra Commander is my favorite character was "Really? He's too weak for you." I was all. " Dude, Resolute."

It's so depressing that such an awesome character was wasted the majority of the time in the old cartoons. Ah well.

Anyhow, point out typos plz. I'm generally very sleepy when I finish these so i don't proof.

Also; how in the frell does one type some of these accents that the Cobra guys have got goin' on? |< The writer in me is annoyed hat don't know how to type a Japanese accent correctly...or an Australian one for that matter...and hell I don't even want to try a Scottish one >_>

Hmm, I don't really know, with the hype of winning third place in the Cobra Recruitment Poster contest, I just had urge to overhaul the design of my own Cobra OC. No one knows her real name. She goes by "Nexus".

I did another cobra piece but I'm not quite satisfied with it yet, it'll go up sometime in the future...

Who knows, I might even take this procrastination on starting my original comic to the next level enough to write a short G.I Joe fanficlet. Do tell me if you're interested so I can gauge whether or not to actually do it.
