I think the quote is from Kurt Vonnegut, but ah... honestly? I think it's pretty accurate sometimes.
Maybe it's weird, but I feel like every time we make a new love story together, I fall in love with you all over again.
I learn a part of you that I didn't know before.
Will it be like this until we're old?
I kind of hope so.

When I first stumbled onto your page when WWP was still up, I remember falling in love with Macho, but then I saw your old superhero concepts and I couldn't hit the "watch" button fast enough.
I don't think I'll ever grow out of superheroes, and I partly blame you and how amazing you are

I know our passion is WWP, but it's great seeing you reworking these guys for Satellite City while me and Bee are working on PT.
I think when we tackle it again in the future, we'll be so prepared and ready, just thinking about it gets me stoked.

My last MHOC didn't count (since it was a re-hash of one of my other characters and was done more as a joke), but I've been itching to do a legit one for a while now!

Meet R0bb-13 (pronounced "Robbie" of course) who is inspired by cheesy 50s killer robots with tube arms.
His style is definitely hip-hop inspired, the only style where anyone can get away with golden pants.
I mainly wanted to give him that bubble jacket to simulate said tubey arms.
His last name is inspired by the word "Automaton"

He's dating Bee's MHOC, Annie, and has a pretty loving bromance with his pet Roomba, R00m13. (pronounced "Roomie"...of course)

(also shamelessly plugging more of Bee's MHOCs heehee)

Metropolis | the Thin Man

Earlier this week I finally watched the classic masterpiece by Fritz Lang, Metropolis
While the story of the movie was a little disappointingly simple, I can definitely see why it's heralded as such a great work, and I'm glad I watched it.

While there were a lot of visuals I loved from the film, the character that got to me the most was Joh Fredersen's agent, "the Thin Man."
There was something really imposing and stoic about him that struck me like no other.
Sadly he didn't amount to that much in the film as far as a villain goes, but he was my favorite.

I might draw the MachineMan, Hel, but I doubt I'll have the motivation for it

Hope you guys like this though, and I do suggest you watch Metropolis if you're interested in cinematography.

And don't worry, me and Bee are working on PT!
Things have been kind of hectic for both of us, but there is progress!

This is to hold you guys over for when I have to set up Cynthia and reconfigure her new tower over the week, hope it's okay!

This is my oldest Ragnarok Online OC, Endlye. She used to be called something else, but I revamped her and renamed her. I like her a lot more now.
She's unconventional, blood thirsty, and bordering on insane... or just a wild animal, your pick.

Despite being a Crusader/Paladin class, which are tanks/vit build, she uses a multitude of pole-arms and is agility/speed/vitality focused in stats. I always make her when I jump servers, though I haven't played in like a year.
_{She's my own personal build that doesn't always work, but I make her agility/vitality, to be the perfect tank, practically invulnerable, add in a bit of strength to give her lancing abilities some deadly force, and she's great in a party /GAMEPLAY JARGON.

She's totally paired with a Bee's Ragnarok OC, which she's gonna post in a sketch dump eventually.

ah....after that Toph picture i couldnt help myself xD
the ideas just kept coming o___o
so i applied some of the main avatar charries with some form of extreme sport

soo:

-Aang is a parkour....or free-runner...i didnt really want to go with sky-diving seeing as its very specific...and looking at his movements i felt free-running would fit better.
-Katara is a surfer...it was a stretch for me....seeing as she doesnt fit me as the surfing type...but at the same time Katara can be pretty bad ass o__O
-Sokka is...well..Sokka...he LOOKS like a surfer...but he cant...cause he's Sokka...and everyone loves him xD
-Toph is a skate-boarder...the grinding (lol metal-bending) and the stomping really did it for me....not to mention the hard-core..ness
-Zuko took a while....i considered motorcyling...but i wanted to keep it away from anything non-transportable...so i talked to rogue and she said agressive inline skating. the sparks and acrobatic movement seemed to fit fire-bending.

Yun and Yang are probably one of my favorite Street Fighter designs....theyre like....awesome XD;;;

i mean cmon...combining traditional Chinese (YOSH) and street style? thats fucking baddass, i believe xDDDD

and i find a lot of little quirks to their design and personalities very interesting.
Yun wears "cooler" colors, but his demenour is obviously the more active one. he's the irresponsible boyish skater.
Yang wears "hot" colors, but he's the calm one, the mature thinker.
it fits the "yin yang" idea pretty damn well xD

as much as i LOVE Capcom and Street Fighter, the King of Fighters series by SNK is one of my favorite fighting games.
(though i'd still have a hard time chossing between cap and snk XD;; )

K' was first introduced to the series in the 99' installment as the new hero/poster boy for the series.
Needless to say, he didnt impress me at first glance, since main characters usually dont...
but after playing with him, his fighting style and movement just bleed so much STYLE that his design has really grown on me...i would even say that he's my favorite SNK character ._.

and dude....his sunglasses rock xD

and that explains the treads on his shoe...they say KOF 99 (King of Fighter '99) as a tribute to his first game xD

Hourou Musuko (lit. "the Transient Son") is a manga by Takako Shimura (and is currently being scanlated by the group Kotonoha)

I won't spoil the story for you guys, but be careful that it's a gender-bender ;D

Admittedly, I started reading Hourou Musuko because I'd read some of Shimura-sensei's other works and liked them, but HM is by far, my favorite of hers.
I've always liked her way of visual story-telling, but the premise of this series is not only intriguing, but well-played.
I have never seen another manga take such a premise so seriously before, and I really enjoy all the characters and the delicacy with which she handles them.
(Honestly, it's a bit tiring to see how many gender-bender stories are simply gag comedy, especially when the problem is very real for many people)

As for the picture, I've been wanting to draw some fanart of the story for a while now, but never really got the right image down.
It's hard to maintain the integrity of the characters in my style, while still trying to give subtle visual clues on both Nitori-kun's and Takatsuki-san's born gender. x_x;

Either way, I might be doing more fanart later, lmao OTL
I'm kind of in withdrawal from lack of chapters lately.

i dont know, but i didnt like toph that much when she first appeared in ATLA, but then, she grew on me i guess :3

i think im a little toph obsessed actually.
everything about her character is uber cool. i really like her visual style, with her hair and how shes always looking at the ground with blank eyes, and her fighting style which kicks major butt. and i also like her personality, especially her sarcasm.
