heres a LIL bit of info. sorry for the length. lmao

think of these as future cross bred between attackchoppers and Vtol fighter( The harrier is a good pick)
this escort has a large bore machine gun under the nose(as you can see) that the gunner fires by looking at his target and firing. also has a very large bore laser cannons attatched to both central section of the wings, for the pilot to fire.
these replaced the modern unguided rocket systems used in attackchoppers. Also(not modeled on yet becuase I just remembered. lol. are 6 AA(AnitAir) missiles.

On the outer wings are 10 Hellfire II missiles(well future type versions of course) they are slightly smaller. but also have FAF(Fire And Forget) for the gunner to fire at heavy armored targets. Up to well over 5 miles away(since these are future missile they should fire farther. lol)
Also note that each section of wing and engine are seperate. this gives alot of flexability. when not goin through afighter type mode it can hover and move like a attachchopper(the engine go verticle) also there are engine on the front to make it do extreme reverses(up, down, forward, and back) like a chopper as well.

the great part about the wings is the weapon systems. the laser cannons for the pilot stay foward for him to use whenever he needs them. and for when he needs his AA missiles as well. like take this idea in a scene. the pilot could be hovering and se a target on screen above. he then can raise his wings to fire at the aircraft(or even downward at a ground target)

but heres the even cooler part. whne the pilot can be using his part of the wings. the outer, other part will keep lined up for the gunner. so when ever he needs his Hellfires they will be aiming foward for him(even when he needs them aimed higher up or lower)

this mars like planet was a desolate place. until a small group of asteroids brought the gift of life; as the planet developes through the eons its mark is always left behind, from the the fateful day when they crashed into equator. now the planet lives on through its childhood stage of become a planet teaming with life. Not much different from our own.
maybe one day we will meet the species that will come from this planet and together find our place in the universe.

sorry. lol I fealt like giving a story to this planet since I had so much fun makin the texture of it(as I was goin along I was actualy thinkin of what was commin from, where it came, to where it was goin.

this has got to be the first planet where I had it made in my mind before just messin around and goin with what was good as alot(even myself) go about makin planets.
the texture, bump map, and spec' map is 100% made in PS7(even the clouds you see were done this way too) and then went into 3dsmax to make it fully 3d.
as you see in these images its the same planet of course, just from def' point of views around it. also its fully animated now too. it orbits with the clouds movin as well. Im goin to make a simple animation(as I did before) to show you guys. Im sure after seenin these "screenshots"(yes screenshots lol) you'll def want to see the vid. heh.

also the moon you see in the screenshot(and soon to be vid) will be, say where the terragen image is based at. so that'll give you this really cool idea where your at from seein the vid then see the image when it shows up in the pack...hehe

UPDATE NOTE: to those who may say something about the bumpmapping or the texture lookin "flat" the bump map was not a finished product in these images and have been "fixed", if you get my drift. lol ]]>

I just figured I'd give you guys tabs on what Im doin this time around kinda. you'll be seein some updates of these models bein made

originally these were soposed to be a couple of units for a RTS game called Total annihilation(one of the best RTS games of all time) but that went AWOL and was never completed so now they will be turned toward the art way of life for them(and maybe down the road made for supreme commander(Chris talor made TA and is makin another RTS game)

one on the left originally was based off of a F22, but the wings and other things have been altered(like the main wings sweep back farther) and tail fins are larger(also a larger MG has been placed under the nose and not on the side of the jet, but the missile launchers are left the same, under the belly with bay doors)

on the right is the altered X29. not sure where the armaments would be on this jet at the time but it has two MGs on each side of the jet and four missile launchers withen the wings(wich may be altered agian bacause of a hazard of the inner missile firing and takin out the foward wings of the jet), also the tail fin is now two tail fins. ]]>

I now have my new pc(WOOOOOOT!)

left is my old 2000 amd, 512, Gforce 5600, XP

Its a animation of showin off the mech and its reflective textures(dirt maps and such havnt been made/placed yet. so it looks like it would if it was brand new with old guns)

shows off reflection while it spins around the mech...even the floor is slightly reflective...theres about 92 lights so theres a good sence of lighting in the animation...so hope ya likes

the animation has been placed within a .rar to keep it safe and the animation itself when not compressed is around 36MB but its compressed makin it like 20 something so sorry on that part the res is 640 x 480 I believe...with millions on colors in it so its great quality(in about the mid range)

The image is a concept I've workin on to make it as if your seein inside the neb' itself...not out side or thousands of miles/lightyears away really...

UPPER LEFT: This is one of the first stars that at the bottom(heading right of the image) is a bok globule commin very close to the "viewer(you)"

UPPER RIGHT: Simply put as twin stars with a moon that needs to be redone(missing its texture in that image) and the gas giant I painted by hand(not like the tut you see out the where you use filters to make a gas giant) but painted with the Airbrush)

LOWER LEFT: Another tunnel like star where it goes far enough back and around the corner that part of a bok globule blocks its light and mainly reflects it away from the rest of the nearby neb areas(except to where it hits left of the visible image here) and I Earth like moon to the Gas Gian I beleave...or another planet)

LOWER RIGHT: Now this piece is quite sweet...I was tryin to work on how to make what I bok globule would look like really up close and when I was done it seem to look like smoke really...Which I thought was a grea effect(You let me know) left side of the image is a close cluster of stars in a small area(which really makes the image if you ask me but I can show you cuz thats one of the areas Im holding away from you...lmao!

I made the planet texture in Ps7...So thus I can use the texture over and over agian from different point of views(cuz the texture can be wrapped around a sphere in 3ds max to make a full planet(that can even be used in a video if I decide to make one sometime down the road) but alas...I have a lil spot on the texture ( need to fix(if you look good enough you can find it...lol)

So I guess you can say this is a lil look into my story...this is the first planet that is in my novel(If I ever decide to start freakin writing in it agian...lol)

well this is why this is showin the center of the pic on my first(real nebula-thing...lol) at print size to show some of ya that I put quite the heart and soul into this thing well it aint done yet and Im workin on it now so I'll just get back to it...lol

and I kinda put a wierd thing over the view deal in the upper right corner so ya cant see it yet... :evilluagh:

The onlything I dont think I like is the glow...and the water needs to be done agian...I hope you like the land itself cuz this is what I was workin on...the rest a slap together...
