After Miku i decided to take things slower and easier. However, the entire day i've been unable to focus, and the first gachapoid drawing failed miserably.
So strangely, this 2 hour drawing actually pleases me.

Gatchapin is much easier to draw than Ryuto. I mean, his design is alright, but why the buck teeth, and weird color scheme? Don't even get me started on his voice.... /shot

I kept putting it off and putting it off because I had no ideas for him, and I wanted to do something original... finally, today, I realized, "Shit, I only have a day to do this. WELP here goes."
THis actually came from a conversation I had with a friend about how much I hate Gachapoid and his buck teeth. Then she said, "But Tiger & Bunny found a way to make that one kid who got his balloon stuck look cute, and he had buck teeth." And then I'm like, "But that was T&B. ;n;"
So... I just drew Ryuto making the same face (and by the same I mean from memory lol) as that kid. (oh look here he is [link] ) And his microphone grew wings and is flying away.

UMI no KoE is not actually a Gachapoid song ( i made the title up)... i think it mean's the Sea's/Ocean's Voice. (hopefully that's right...)
I don't wanna feature any of his songs (i found only 3-4 original ones anyway) because of his voice and i also don't like his face from the original Ryuto design...it creeps me out

I don't really like Gachapod alot, his voice sounds froggy and scary.... Which is why i drew him "drowning" underwater (his voice reminds me of someone talking undertalking a bit) ... meh heh heh evil XD....

To be honest, I don't really care much about this drawing. I knew I didn't care about the character, but I had to draw him for the art jam. I just wanted to do something simple that wouldn't require loads of work, but that just wasn't any fun. It became a really fun once I decided to be loose with the crayon tool, though. It also fits his 5 year old spirit, right?

Done in... I really should pay more attention. Maybe two hours if we include the versions I didn't keep. (I'm recording it for school, for those wondering why I bother, when I guess so much. )

I'd completely lost my inspiration on the beginning of the week, because my real life started to suck, and I thought this would turn into crap, since I started drawing today, but I'm really satisfied with it

I've had something completely different in my head when I heard that this week we'll have to draw Gachapoid, but this was the last minute idea

I made my own version of his clothes, since I don`t like the real ones very much.

When I originally came up with this idea, I didn`t actually have Ryuto in mind.
I really like this concept a lot, so it truly pains me to use it for a fanart instead of my own art.

And because I like this concept so much, I will likely remake this eventually, using an OC instead of Ryuto so it can be entirely my own.

This is for the fourth week of 's Vocaloid Art Jam. This week was Gachapoid - one of the least used vocaloids out there. I do have to admit that he is cute ; ^ ; Poor little bugger deserves some more attention.

Yes, this is a he - but he's four. He's wearing a night gown because it's cute o 3o

Water mark added in CS4.

I worked hard on the back ground to make it something really wild and dream like. I've seen a back ground like thsi before so I was really interested to try something like it, ha ha. The back ground alone took about sixty layers. :/

I really feel bad for Gachapoid/Ryuto. He has the least number of songs among all the Vocaloids. Plus, I guess it's because of his dino appearance that makes him unappealing :<

I wish I can make him sing, but I have no money to buy his engine software, let alone even find a place that sells Vocaloid software to begin with.
