This is a picture from my last trip in Patagonia... We were here in the deep valley of Rio Electrico, near the roofs of mount Fitz Roy. We were planning to reach the circo de Los Altares on the Hielo Continental icefield.

This morning we ad an amazing sunrise on this place called "La Playita", on the shore of Lago Electrico. The weather was amazingly quite, with no wind. Some really rare conditions in this area. These conditions offered us a great reflection of the Fitz Roy peak, in the morning glow...

These mountains are really different from what we know in France with the Alps... they're really impressive and I'll keep great remembers of this trip.

This is a picture of the night of the 5th march 2011... A night spent under the stars on the summit of the Brevent in the Chamonix valley in french Alps...
We were front of the Mont Blanc, the highest summit of the Alps, an amazing scenery.
The mountains remains enlighted by the lights of the town in the valley, giving a really particular athmosphere.
The sky was amazingly clear, only the summit of the Mont Blanc was clouds covered.

A great remember

I took this photo at the begining of march in the Vercors mountains in french alps... I was waiting for the sunset near the cliffs of Font d'Urle... I loved how the light illuminated the frost lines, guiding the eyes to the valley.
It was a magical light for my birthday sunset... The best present Nature could offer.

Here is a picture from my last trip to Iceland... these are huge blocks of ice on the Jokulsarlon beach... These blocks come from the widest glacier in Europe : Vatnajokull.
We had a strange light this morning, there was high clouds in the sky, creating a solar halo around the sun.
I used a B&W nd400 filter for this picture (thanks Alex ). This filter gives a strong warm balance to the colors that I wouldn't totally correct... The sky was more gray in reality, but I think these colors suits quite well the scene.

Maybe the most amazing night I spent in a wild place, with these green lights always changing and falling over us in sweet movements. The show lasted well into the night, and we had many time to take some photographs. One of the dream of the nature photographer, and one of my dreams.

Last september in Iceland, we spent a night under a magical sky in a totally desertic area.

Here is the first photograph of my last trip to Iceland in september 2010... An unbelievable sight on the road to Askja, a huge volcanic area in the inner highlands of the north Iceland.

The fall colors on the vegetation were simply amazing. We were here in a totally desertic area...no human presence at 80km round at least. Just the light, the wind, the cold and the colors of this landscape, an amazing remember. The weather was quite cold (aprox. 0 to 3°C) and the first snowfalls were not so far. The last gasp of life before the winter...

Here is a picture from my last year trip to Iceland. This is a piece of clear ice, stranded on the shores of Jokulsarlon in Iceland.

This photograph has a really particular sense for me : it remember me an amazing moment of my trip in Iceland, and this picture has been chosen for the cover of the book "Bouts de Planete" (Visions of Earth in english). This book contains the landscapes photographs of the five members of the collective "Bouts de Planete": Samuel Bitton, Christophe Carlier, Vincent Favre, Rafael Rojas and myself.
