Once inside the Knight Academy, Link learned the grim truth: he was going to need stitches. After a hot bath, which stung horribly, he lay uncomfortably on a hard table as a nurse sewed him up, wincing every so often. A thick bandage was applied once the deed was done, and he was sent to his room to rest after a quick meal of pumpkin soup.

Link lay awake, his healing wound the only reason he wasn't sneaking out to fly to the Sealed Grounds. Instead he fitfully slept, having several dreams of reuniting with Zelda, making him awake smiling, only to find himself alone in his dark room.

The inner room was rather small, with an alcove tucked away at its farthest side. Link walked – rather limped – to it, already unsheathing his sword and holding it skyward, ignoring the pang that ran through his side.

As the sacred weapon glowed, he swung for the crest inside the alcove. It spun, changing color. A symbol on the wall began to glow red. It was three wavy lines, their ends looping into two circles.

A flame shot up, the brightest color of crimson Link had ever seen. He staggered backwards, eyes squinted against the blaze, leaving images of scarlet etched onto their surfaces.

Plus I had an interesting dream about a week ago and I have plans on writing that book as well, but that will be for 18+ however. Although I suppose I could down grade it so everyone can read it and then just have special chapters rewritten for adults only... That is set in the 1920's or 1940's mobster era's... with a twist...

Then of course I still have quite a few short stories I had started a while ago, but never fully finished or trying to see what can just be incorporated into any of my books. And then I have other books in my head that... well between all that, working, studying new languages, making videos and playing the occasional video game... I just have a lot on my plate as of this moment to just constantly keep writing.

And then of course my mood or how I am feeling determines the out come of my stories. Right now and for the most part for a while it has been dark and lonely, so my stories will reflect that... in fact, besides a few short stories, After The Twilight will really be the only "light hearted" story for a while... This is why my friend and I were discussing this game's ending so fully and enthusiastically. The events, although terrifically told, also left a lot up to the imagination. Link could have very well came back to Ordon Village to see everyone and make sure they were ok and then go back to Hyrule and stay with Zelda. Or he could have tried to get the mirror to work again and see Midna as someone else had wrote, although I do not have the link for it on hand nor the author's name to give credit.


But I chose it to be this way. To be honest... my favorite parts of the game were to simply explore Ordon Village... I wish there had been more to do there. It was peaceful and tranquil... I wish the game would not have ended and I could have played more of it to see everyone's reactions and to maybe explore more parts of the forests or to see inside that house in Ordon that never let me in, the one across from the store.


In fact... although it was to try and please a friend... it was also to please myself, to put on paper my version of the events as they unfold or had unfolded. Of course these are the early chapters and there is no telling where it will lead in the future... ]]>

The inside of the sanctuary was almost as hot as the volcano summit, but not quite. Tall statues lined the walls, their red jeweled eyes staring silently at Link as he walked along. Rivers of magma flowed slowly in windy paths, reminding him of the Earth Temple.

Strange spiky plants grew on thick vines snaking down from the ceiling, and it baffled him to think that any type of greenery could survive in the intense heat. He prodded one with his sword, and it opened its hard bud, releasing a large drop of water, which splashed down and immediately evaporated upon contact with the ground.

After admiring the survival ]]> boy am I proud of this chapter. I really like how I gave Silva so much character, and his bickering with Bronzi reminded me of Kotake and Koume arguing in Ocarina of Time. And it's actually a decent length. It's a miracle. XD

Link clutched the hilt of the Ordon sword, watching his opponent's moves with a trained eye. His instincts as a swordsman told him to charge in and deliver the final blow. Instead, he held his blade at bay. That would not be necessary here.

His sword was broken. He had lost the shield days ago. The bow was for no use. The hero gasped for air. With his last of powers, he climbed to the top of a large rock and collapsed. The control room was completely wrecked. Monitors hung lopsidedly from the walls, their screens cracked. Live wires sparked, poking out of broken consoles. And in the background was the drone of an alarm, bathing everything in flashes of red.

Link swallowed hard, wondering what could have done this much damage in such a sort amount of time. He didn't have to wait long for an answer; as he made his way around the busted consoles, large purple tentacles suddenly pushed their way up through the floorboards. Link pulled himself over the edge of the great ship. Dusting himself off, he looked around. Tall masts lined the massive deck, sand blowing across its wooden surface. Tattered sails blew raggedly in the hot winds, and everything was the same dull brownish color.

Something shiny in the crow's nest caught his eye. It was a deactivated Timeshift Stone, glittering in the bright sun. He craned his neck; there was no way he could reach it, it was too high up. And he couldn't throw something hard enough to hit it at that height. He shrugged it off, remembering his objective.

It should also be noted... from what I have been hearing... that another dust bowl, regardless of how bad it might be compared to the past, is coming... Will we ever learn from our mistakes? What the heck is the point in teaching history to children in school, when grown adults can't even seem to remember and those that do, are too powerless to stop it!? ]]>
 Link, Zelda and their little girl Emily, were sitting around the old dusty wooden cracked table.  There was not much on there, just an empty vase with no flowers and most likely a few inches of dirt which had accumulated inside it by now.  In fact, there was dirt everywhere!  On the floors, on the furniture, in the bed...  In every nook and cranny and place imaginable and unimaginable.  And worse yet, even when you ate, you could feel and taste the grit in your teeth as you chewed.

  The sun was down before he rode Epona back into the horse pen, this time by using the gate. They had a great run, but it took him at least half an hour longer than he had expected. Epona just did not want to give him up. It was not like Link did not enjoy the ride, he always loved riding her, especially unbarred and out in the open, but he did have that other obligation...

"It's not too far now," Skipper noted as he steered the small boat to the left.

Link peered over the side, watching droplets of water fly everywhere as the boat sped through the water. It was a strange feeling, seeing endless sand in all directions, and then looking to the small circle of clear water around the boat. Bright coral reefs were visible beneath the waves, colorful fish darting in and out of them.

A strip of land became more clear and close along the horizon. It was the island they were looking for: the Pirate Stronghold. Skipper looked nervous, hands shaking as he veered the boat towards land.

But after getting in the spirit of giving and donating all those toys, I thought it only suiting to write about it in some form or fashion. I had no way of making sure who gets what, I only bought and then dropped it off. But I think I will be much better prepared next year. Most likely even get my work and fellow co-workers involved. I had spent much more than I had initially planed. But it was for a good cause... even if a bit last minute...

I am also thinking I am not sure how good the presents really were... I went more with quantity, than quality. And although I am sure every little bit helps and it will be appreciated, I truly did not have any thing as great as an actual real dolly for a girl or something as cool as a miniature toy bird or wooden train for a boy...

It should also be noted we do not know who really dropped off the toys and the food. It is not mentioned, but it can be assumed, that since there was a knock at the door (The father fibbed for the sake of his children...) that it could have been either Link and or Princess Zelda. But most likely, since there would be others like them, that it would have been a Hylian Royal Guard passing out the presents. More the guards the more houses that can get done in time.

I was thinking of having tobacco for the father to fill his pipe or a new knife and a new hat or cooking pot for the mother, but felt that it was more powerful if they got nothing, but that their children were truly happy. I never had a child... was never in the mood until some what recently... but if I did have them, although I would spoil them in some ways, I would not in others. But having them safe and happy would be my top priority along with my wife. And the food I wanted for all, so in a sense the parents did get to enjoy it themselves, besides just having their children happy.

Regardless, I had more to this story, but I am trying to say more with less, so I will just make it in another... maybe next year. Also I am not sure if the title is appropriate, but it has meaning as well as this story so I used it. Merry Christmas everyone! :snowfalling: ]]>

Link slowly opened his eyes, squinting against the bright sun high above. He stretched, sitting up straighter.

Skipper stood over him. "Rise and shine, sailor! Welcome to Skipper's Retreat!"

The large island consisted of several tall pillars of sandy rock, all connected by rickety bridges which swayed in the wind.

Skipper pointed to the tallest pillar. "My shack is at the very top! The sea chart we need is in there, but I can't leave the bounds of the Timeshift Stone, so you'll have to go get it by yourself."

I tried to verify it over the internet, but I could not, but I felt Epona is much smarter than normal horses and more of a mule in it's stubbornness for what she thinks is safe and much more sure footedness, so I wanted to just add it to the story.  Link continued his back breaking work for about another hour. After making another row for vegetables, delicious red peppers this time and planting them, he put his tools back into the basement of his tree house, washed up a bit at his sink, put a clean shirt on and went to feed the horses and to spend some time with Epona. She was a good horse. It was his, but also Ilia's. She took good care of her when he was training or working and Ilia always scolded him when he ran Epona too hard.

 Everyone had settled back down in their chairs and began eating the magnificent feast.  Both Zelda and I still seemed to be lost in one another for a long time and then we too began eating as her mother prodded us gently.  We dug in as only Thanksgiving and Christmas meals demand.  The food was piled so high, I doubt I would have asked for seconds, unless I requested just a little more wonderful stuffing and or sweet cranberry sauce.  I also had to worry about dessert as well, but to me, pies come any old time, food like this does not.  And besides... The room was huge, bright, and happy. Colorful lily pads floated on the surface of the clear water lapping around his ankles. Everything seemed to dazzle, as though someone had scrubbed each individual stone and tile that made up the walls and floors. Small waterfalls roared gently along the walls, causing ripples in the water. And in the center of the cistern, a large stone statue sat, cheerful expression smiling down at Link.

  Link was sitting on the highest precipice of the cliff, his legs dangling over the edge.  From this position he could see everything for miles.  It was almost as if he was flying with the warm afternoon breeze in his face, blowing through his hair and against his clothing. Well I figured I would write a book about it. I am sure others have, but I wanted to give my opinion and view of what events occurred after. Sadly I am currently writing three books at the same time, this and two others. One I have already posted the first chapter on this site.

What is strange is that I had started those months ago and although I have had events happen in my life that have made me slow down or stop all together or to restart... for some reason I just had to start writing this... this is a much more light hearted story than the other two I am currently writing. I already have quite a few chapters already completed and many more chapters in my head and at present I have no plans on stopping. In fact I have been writing at least one chapter just about every day... not sure how long I can keep that up, but I am going strong so far.

In any case, I have actually even been replaying Twilight Princess just to get the feel for it again and get certain aspects as accurate as possible. I hope you all enjoy... those that have always enjoyed my stories... and those that are just finding them... Please comment with any suggestions or feelings. Take care. ]]>
  The young man was bent over at the waist. His body was covered in a sheen of sweat, the sun glistening off his powerful shirtless shoulders and back. Golden power… could that mean… the harp?

It was a thought. Link was standing in the town plaza, gazing up at the Light Tower. He pulled out the harp, holding it up.

...Nothing.

…Maybe I have to play a song. He tried to remember the notes to the Ballad of the Goddess, but for some reason his mind went blank. He began to feel stupid, standing in the plaza, strumming a harp and playing all the wrong notes.

Ugh, why couldn't the stupid song have just told me what to do? Why does it have to be so vague? Why does everything I have to do have to be so vague? I just want to find Zelda! Is that too much ]]>

Yeto had gotten up that morning and gone up the mountain to assess the wolfos situation. He'd stopped to investigate a curious black speck in the snow, and he'd never come back.

A cursed Midna found a cursed Yeto at the bottom of a gorge. He'd slid down there on purpose upon realizing that he was fighting a losing battle against head crazies. He hadn't exactly wanted the head crazies to march him and his strong fists over to his house (where his wife was!) and pulverize his injured little weakling guest.

He was ready to collapse. Had been since he'd defeated the armored lizard. He hated the idea of giving up on Midna… but wouldn't it be better if he could rest here, voluntarily, out of the snow and onto a soft bed, instead of falling to the floor against his will somewhere else? "…As you can see, the gate is nothing more than a slab of cold stone for now. It is sleeping," the woman said, nodding. "Rousing it from its slumber would require great power. Yes, I believe a shot of holy light from your Skyward Strike might just do it…"

He began to sit up when pain shot through his skull and down his spine. Groaning, he flopped back down on the covers. His whole body was aching, from his head down to his toes. Remembering the ordeal he had gone through with the Red Wolf, he gritted his teeth. How much damage had he taken?

Cautiously as not to enflame his neck and back, he propped himself up against the pillows on the bed. He noticed that he had been dressed in ]]>
