sum1s bout to get an arrow up the tail hole for tryin to pass off as the male version of Bladewind's species o_O

lol im all last minute with my entry. hopefully its not too late. its for the Bladewind Challenge which ended today. download for slightly larger version. and freekazaur's actually pretty tall. but bladewinds even taller.

and i guess freeks expression was inspired by the recent commissioned pic i recieved , cuz his face looks almost exactly the same LOL. guess that pic was in my head while i was sketchin this?

im not sure how, but i totally misinterpreted the feathers on the arms. not only that, i completely forgot them on the second arm. its the only mistake that i cant figure out how i made it lol.

the inking was traditional, the coloring and everythin else is digital.

sumday ill learn how to do backgrounds that actually compliment the foreground :/

Okay so i couldnt submit this last night, but i manage to do it this morning i gues things are running better. Anyway so here is my entry for the bladewing challenge. idk how to link, i forgot< (how pathetic right) but bladewing belongs to cooley and i claim no rights.

This was done in water color and watercolor pencils. Its my first time using this media so youll have to excuse me.

Yay, I finally got a good picture of it!
So, I spent a good week on this, and a few too many hours trying to get it on my computer today.
Anyways, this would be `cooley's character, Bladewind, and my character, Fuki, for Cooley's Bladewind Challenge. Bladewind was hard to draw! But I love her design X3
Random quotey-ness at the top of the description is my happy brain making up a story with the picture <3
And I realized that Bladewind has four fingers after I had started coloring Sorry about that XD;

Done with Prismacolors, Crayola colored pencils, the watercolor pencils my aunt gave me for Christmas, and my Copic pen.

I keep seeing the "Bladewind challenge" [link] but I never actually looked to see what it was, last night that changed. After reading the Challenge and looking at Bladewind and the other entries, I decided to enter myself.

I think the title says it all. When I read that Akina liked Sanosuke I thoght I could do a romantic draw, but then I descovered that he didn't feel the same. So this idea came to my mind. Maybe in her dream he could've give her the attention she needs. ^^

Scratch board, about 6 hrs. or so.

I kinda wish this wasn't my last board. I had a lot of fun doing this.
This isn't so much on composition and design, but it does help one practice with light and shadow.

This is my entry for Cooley's contest, the Bladewind challenge. [link]

We had to draw Bladewind with one of our character, and I choose my good ol' mean crow, Jacob.

I don't know why they're so close here, despite Bladewind's unfriendly personality. Maybe Jacob just gained her respect when he managed to hunt down a deer with only a machete for weapon. Or maybe it's just because he's a good guy and she is curious about an outlander hunting in these isolated parts of the world. Anyway, I think these two won't fight each other for now at least.

I hope you people likes it!

this is for cooley's contest.

Art block,art block is what i had, took me 2 weeks to come up with something. When i hit my head, i realized none of my fantasy is in it so i will have another one.><

the story:

Rayne is a samurai on a journey to fufill her father's wish of discovering the Awesome Katana. As she was crossing the Underlife Plains, she discovers a strange creature, somewhat of a reptile. She approached it slowly without caution and the reptile flew up in the air and swooped back down in full strength. "Stop, im not here to fight, only to find the Awesome Katana" Rayne said in a calm voice. Finding out her name was Bladewind, they traveled together to help this person out. Four months and they have built a wall of friendship. Through it all, friendship conquers all, no matter what the cost.
