Well, I'm back to my poetry challenge again....
Today's was to pick a line from a song and use it in the poem. From the song Our Trees by Tegan and Sara, I chose the lyric "Does anyone know"

This poem pretty much explains itself- My horrid life fighting the battle with food and losing everyday. But I seriously can't help it. Every time I keep eating more and more, I get more upset with myself. But I keep doing it anyway.
But I decided to write about it to raise awareness about it, and that it is a serious problem.
Right now I am currently going to start a new nutrition plan as well as a very new exercise plan :3 Kinda excited, kinda nervous.
But if I follow through, I know I'll be so much happier.

This is the piece that I sent to Tegan & Sara when I watched their concert in Singapore. Glad that they liked it and can't believe that Tegan published it in their instagram [link] , I felt very honored and sooo happy.

Anyway, the show was sooo awesome and inspirational, I definitely will go to the next one if I have a chance

Can You Come a Little Closer?

Had this idea for several months, finally got around to doing it.
First time drawing people for reals, and holy crap it came out brilliant.

Literally listened for 5/6 the time arting this to "Closer" by Tegan & Sara. Over 130 times. I recommend the video, yet I don't think you should watch it as much as I have listened to it. XD

Misplaced my grey colored pencils, so had to use pencil. l<
And my printer refuses to scan, so meh. Thank Mewtwo for my phone.

They should be leaning against something but I don't know whether a wall or tree would work ;A;

If you think I own these wonderful chicks, you need yoga.

So, uh, a little history behind this drawing --
Back in April, I went with my friends on a bus trip to New York City. Of course, I brought my sketchbook and some pencils, along with a Tegan and Sara album. The end result was this; drawings of Tegan and Sara Quin, made with a standard #2 pencil, created on a bus in about an hour.

Once upon a time (1983 to be exact), Luna Island did a photoshoot in which they all were told to 'act sexy'.
None of them accomplished this task.

This is part one, with Juliette Bell. I know she looks really different in all of my designs for her, but this her final design.

A portrait I did early this year. It's in charcoal, and it took me 8 hours (ish) to finish. It's on a 18in by 14in paper. The glass is making Sara's face look odd, but you know how it is. I wish I could have scanned it, but I don't have a big enough scanner available.

Record Store Day 2013

Instead of getting high without good music on this fine 4/20 I'll be able to kick back and listen to some awesome vinyls on a great stereo and trip for as long as I like. The perfect day/night/day. Record Store Day. Today there are a limited number of vinyls that are released to the public at local record shops. These copies are VERY limited to numbers as low as 300 copies for the entire USA. Its a pretty great way to network with other music lovers who still consider the vinyl a daily experience in our new technology ridden world. It also supports the bands you love of old and new genre.

These are the vinyls I bought today. I spent a pretty penny on them but hey, this shit only happens once a year and there was no way I wasn't gonna contribute being I'm a regular vinyl buyer.
