I changed this picture at least 3 times complet, after the second version I just didn't know how to go on but a friend showed me a comic from Feyrah [link]
I like the colors of the tree and decided that I wanted one in my picture.
It worked I had finally some structure in the compasition and was abel to build on that base.

I also want to thank Daniel Lieske the amazing artist behind the web comic Worm World Saga
(The second Chapter is out ).

The teacher said i need to add more of a different color to make the main focus the frog on the skull instead of the huge light coming from the clouds ... but im too lazy XD. So meh.

It was due today, but i feel asleep yesterday and woke up around 4am Flailing that i didn't finish my picture XD so i did this all this morning from 4am to around 6:30 am i believe.

Sorry i haven't been uploading stuff :<
I'll try to have a few more things put up soon.

Aren't glowing frogs-in-birdcages neat?
That's the thing about being an artist under a deadline...even your most delirious whims can be transformed into sleepless hours of wrist-ache
It's really a pretty slapped-together effort...for what it is, I'm very pleased with it. But now I am in need of some sleep. It's good to get a little work done again; I've been feeling very unproductive lately! Hopefully this will help shake me out of vacation.
For now, I really hope you enjoy it! Hopefully there will be plenty more work to come this new year.

Myrf is not your average mad scientist.

After leaving his home on Mygrash, (a planet of water and cities built on huge lilypads), on his parents' rickety starship, Myrf has subsequently enrolled into several both legal and illicit biotechnology and pharmacy companies trying to fullfil his dreams of science. But over years he has been constantly failing to ever step up from the level of lab assistant.

Not because he sucks at science. Merely because he sees exactly the mistakes in all the renowned formulas and always tells it to all the wrong people, who after hearing that consider him either potentially dangerous to their own scientific careers or batshit crazy.

Which he actually is, which he very well realizes XD. Even though despite peculiar way of saying things, twitching eyes, outbursts of giggles in all the wrong moments and weird behaviour in general, he is most adorable creature.

Why there are tentacles in the picture you can find out under the other picture with him, yes the one where he almost looks like Elvis XDDDD

And why there is flower in the picture... it's quite a naughty innuendo only chosen ones know about 8P

Myrf is not your average mad scientist.

After leaving his home on Mygrash, (a planet of water and cities built on huge lilypads), on his parents' rickety starship, Myrf has subsequently enrolled into several both legal and illicit biotechnology and pharmacy companies trying to fullfil his dreams of science. But over years he has been constantly failing to ever step up from the level of lab assistant.

Not because he sucks at science. Merely because he sees exactly the mistakes in all the renowned formulas and always tells it to all the wrong people, who after hearing that consider him either potentially dangerous to their own scientific careers or batshit crazy.

Which he actually is, which he very well realizes XD. Even though despite peculiar way of saying things, twitching eyes, outbursts of giggles in all the wrong moments and weird behaviour in general, he is most adorable creature.

Why there are tentacles in the picture you can find out under the other picture with him, yes the one where he almost looks like Elvis XDDDD

And why there is flower in the picture... it's quite a naughty innuendo only chosen ones know about 8P

I've had this picture sitting half finished for months and months and I finally finished it the other day! woo! It's nice to be able to just stop everything for a couple hours and work on a picture of your own characters.

Anyway! I haven't introduced Colorado before! He is another character from Frog's story. I've just been too overwhelmed to get to do a proper character sheet for him. That and I was being super nitpicky about his design.

I remember reading the description and seeing the refs for this and thinking "Ooooooooh. Oooh!" My retinas burn now I have to tell you, haha! But it was worth it. I'm proud of the pose, the composition, the colors, just everything in general. I hope *Merman1234 likes this as much as I liked working on it ^^. (Ya'll like those strategically placed though natural looking limbs don't you!!? No really this pose just happened!)

There's a story behind this I'm sure but since I wasn't given all the details I'll leave it up to everyone's individual interpretation. Something out of a fairytale I imagine it to be though <33.

Time taken: 17 hours
Tools: Paper, pencil, Painter 6 & Photoshop CS2
Someone asked before what I use to ink. 0.3 mm 3H mechanical pencil lead. I stopped digitally inking a year ago ^^.


It'll be a while before I upload again as I'm finishing other commission work. I felt like uploading this simply because it helped me feel like an artist again <3. ]]> ...I'll float along with you...
