it's been a while since i last drew something shamelessly, disgustingly, offensively pink! so while i sat for the thousandth time waiting for my computer to painstakingly render 10 seconds of animation, i figured i might as well doodle up something painfully sweet. here's no girl in dorothy-tribute costume.

inked with a staedler pen, scanned, and colored in photoshop 7.

Anyways~ ... I made it a little more bloody then the actual pic and messed up the colours too, to give it my personal crappy touch lol
I didn't like how it turned out at first but now I'm happy with it.

a commission done for ~songhee of her RO character, surrounded by her friends' characters. however, instead of being in RO clothing, she wanted them to look a little more like a pop group and designed her own outfits for them.

done in painter 7 (drawing, colors) and photoshop 7 (background, text.)

easily my most extensive coloring job yet. and yes, it took me a while to do this. i colored maeve mostly in painter, which im finally getting the hang of. and then took it to photoshop and did the background and the magic stuff. i really do like the finished product. id say its probably my best image to date. i definately think it was worth the effort.
and go buy the print! yes, applying for the print riiigght now.

Once again this is product of my colouring training . I'm not in the point, yet, but i'm better, i think .

Don't tell me nothing about the girl's head (she should be me, but well i couldn't do myself right ), it's too small and have a lot of errors.

About the title, well the girl is using my new pyjama (so cooool ) and she's huging my super-big-and-cute teddy bear called Prongs (I know, Prongs is a deer but the other option was Padfoot or Dumbledore and they were out of question, for me ). Nothing more to say

I bought Guilty Gear XX and played it for the first time last week and I'm totally addicted to it.

Bridget is my favorite character, because a boy that has a girl's name, dresses like a girl, uses yo-yos and teddy bears as weapons and still kicks ass has to be special <3

His upper hand bugs me and I forgot to do the white stripe around the bottom of his dress T_T *shakes fist*

The background was completely spontaneous (read: result of a brainfart)

Doodle-ish picture of Benjamin I'm using for Savvy's and my own "Angel Immigration" community, ai_journal.

Not very happy with the shading because it was turning out too "plastic" for my taste. : / (I had to shade his hair three times from scratch and was tempted to do the same with his skin.) I guess this is decent enough. I need to make more finish pictures of my little angels.

Ok, Ok, I know I've said this before but I have to say this again: I was drunk when I sketched this. I'm starting to see a problem here. Most of the work I like was done while in a alcoolic state of mind. Alcool is my muse.

But then, as the romans said, IN VINO VERITAS, Truth in the wine...
I remember siting in the bar, thinking about old girlfriends, past moments of passion and then I thought about something I love to do but that women are usually very...I guess the best way to put it is that they are very SQUARE about it. I love to bite. I love to be bitten. No, I don't like to drink blood of young virgins in the moonlight, no I dont wear black ( Not usually, any way...), I just like to bite. And to be scratched too, but that's beside the point.

So thats what I had in mind while doing this. Alcool, the will to bite and the will to be scratched.

Here it is, version one of this finished piece.

Actually, it's been done since about the end of July, but I have very strong reservations about the background--it was basically a filler as the original idea DID NOT pan out the way I wanted to in time for Otakon 2004.
I will eventually get this pic over the hump and bring to life the real background, but for now the mismatched lighting effects will have to win over the masses. Think of it like there's a signal flare or something out of view, I don't know!

*NOW* it's official, I'm back in action. This was just like the Princess Eclair piece in that everything fell into place the way I wanted it to and with minimal effort. If only EVERY drawing could be like this, I could sleep better at night, lol.

I waited 2 months to submit it because i was hopping to get some ideia to the background but i should give up right away.. i never get any ideia to the backgrounds.. argh..

I just finished this drawing while I was listening to Pearl Jam.
Anyway, my last drawing had a little mistake so I wanted to do another one with pencils that I would totally like at the end. My pencils are too soft (supracolor soft from caran d'ache) so they're not very good for skin details, maybe I'll buy another ones someday.
Nothing more to say, lol.
